Angel groaned as she woke up. She looked at Mortis and growled. Then she looked around and saw that Ayase was gone. "Where is she! What did you do to her?!"

Jack hurried up to where the two were. One of them he didn't recognize, but he knew he was a vamp. The other one was... Angel. He suddenly felt like he didn't want to move towards her. He had to though.

mortis caught athena in mid attack and held her close. he pressed their lips together preciously while holding her arm to her sides.
"this will not defeat us athena....come back to reality...help me stop this madness" he said as he kissed her once again.
