Link was relieved to know the Monks were unhurt. They clearly did not realize that they had been infiltrated. Nor did they much care. More concerned were they about the defeat of the Dragon.
The Sith must have started becoming more subtle.
The monks led Link down to the depths of what was once Jabba's dungeon where, inserted into a cell wall, was the device Link sought.
He plugged the Image Caster into the outlet and Cale Darksun's Hologram apeared. "So," the image spoke, "you managed to get in here without recieving a free Lobotomy eh? good work. Now you'll need to hoof it on over to the Glorious Jewel of Huttspace. Lets see you try and find that dataport before you shove off for the last jump. If you're any relation to me, you shouldn't find it too difficult."
The Hologram cut out, leaving Link to ponder. The Sith were certainly on planet. A careless few had tipped their hand. And there was only a handful of people they could possibly be looking for. A tactical withdrawl from the battle was becoming more and more favorable as an option. As much as he prefered a live mount, nessecity demanded speed. The Sith were bound to have left their speeder craft behind...

Nelowulf ((except i was never in his chambers)) (no, your droid was. However, you were in the audience hall surrounded by dead bodies. Common soldiers will draw the conclusion that Ferno, a Sith did it, and they'll connect the dots)

((no, he kinda wasn't. Both never entered the room. Plus, they won't be able to connect the dots because short of the crew of the Slayer and several top sith, nobody even knows of the spectre. Krayt and the rest of his gang, however, were there and disposed of the necessary people. Ferno was elsewhere in the buildign when the killing actually took place.))

" Did anyone tell you that you have beautiful eyes? " was all a sly thug asked in a smooth voice before he decided to attempt a small groping of a young woman. The very instant his hand made contact with a place it shouldn't, an arm swung around and an open hand gripped his face, with enough force behind it all that resulted in the back of his head slamming down onto the bar. " OW! Holy sith, woman! " he exclaimed, then went away. The woman looked around and saw the others looking in her direction. " What? " she asked in a somewhat irritated tone. Everyone immediately turned away and went about their business. " I swear, every time I'm alone, this always happens. " she said to herself.

Link sped across the Desert atop a sturdy speeder bike. He could see the mountains that framed Mos Eisley on the horizon and gaining ground rapidly. Another hour or so, then comes the problem of locating a freighter pilot who can take this one off world. But one can ertainly be found in Mos eisley of all places. One would be hard pressed to find a more wretched hive of scum and villany. With that he pressed on, keeping himself cloaked in the Force's web.

Calra stepped backaward behind a stack of crates, her hand reaching for her plasma pistols as Revak leveled their carbine at one of the nearest droids. The droid's blaster fire scroched a series of holes in his cloak but missed his body.
He fired, the plasma bolt raced in toward the droid, but the droid was stunningly fast. It fell backward and twisted out of the way, then it stood upright and kept on firing. Calra popped up over the crates, with both of her plasma pistols squirting golden energy bolts into the fray. One of the bolts burned into the blaster carbine of one of the droids disabling it.
The droid dropped the useless carbine and drew the concussion rifle from his shoulder. Leveled it, and fired.
The bolt of ionized air slammed into the crates, exploding outward and creating a sonic wave that echoed in the hanger bay. The top crates clattered out of place and several fell, nearly crushing Calra beneath them. Her leg still braced she was barely able to escape from them. Her ears were ringing again from the blast.
Revak lifted his carbine and fired, this time on wide beam. The bolt expanded into a cone a meter wide as it hit the droid. With a flash of light the droid disappeared behind a cloud of smoke. Then as the smoke cleared the droid stood, still combat capable with only a minor set of carbon scoring.
Revak stood frozen for a moment. The droid was proving to be a much tougher nut to crack.

Ferno finished his meager feast, the raiders stood no chance. A small patrol happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it showed on their faces. It was ironic, in a sense, that Ferno knew what the creatures looked like, but after his treatment, nobody would be able to tell anyway. It was disgracing them in the strongest way, but he needed to physically get one of them, so why not them all.
Returning to the shuttle, Ferno ordered another sweep of the area, just with droids, and surviellance throughout the night. As the Darkness fell, Ferno could move much easier through the town, and it was his turn for reconnasaince. He only had one night, but with the sudden drop of bodies in the force not from his own hand had slipped his attention. The assassins registered, but so faintly that Ferno could not tell. They were weak anyhow, at least that would be the excuse HM would make if informed.
For now, the lord could only stay for the night, before having to report back in and monitor results on the sullustian plague, which was due to break out in the next 96 hours.

Nightfall fell upon Mos Eisley, another cold desert night. Link tred the lit streets of the Old Quarter, stopping to glance briefly at the wreakage of the Dowager Queen.
So far he had not detected any further dark side activity other than the day to day strife that plagued the harsh world. His limited detection might have been as a result of his attempting to conceal himself, but it was a risk he felt was necessary. One could not rely on the Force alone.
He pulled his cloak tighter around himself to protect against the cold and wondered if there were any sober pilots worth talking to at this hour. "Perhaps the hunt should continue in the morning." he mused to himself as he cast a glance about the Dowager wreckage.

Celestia Whitesword (( Padme: welcome back - fwee! ^_^ Now, I hope elvis comes back soon ;_; )) < That is a sound plan, > agreed Baracca, affectionately known as Bear, a large wookie whom lived up to his namesake. < It is my understanding that Freya's father also wished to form an alliance with Naboo before he passed on, > "Yes, but he was killed before he was able to present his plan to the queen. We plan on picking up where he left off." Azure told Bear.

< The real question, however, is how well Veron was received on Naboo, > Chenahab chimed in.
< From all indications, he was well respected, > Bear offered.
< Still, great care must be taken, > Chen said. < Freya is young, inexperienced and tempermental, >
Meanwhile, Gorwooken had gone back, presumably to spend time with his wookie brethen, or to bunk for a bit.
In the cockpit, Freya chatted with the recruits from Bespin, whom have accompanied her on Gordon's recommendation, while Rusty checked the instruments and hyperspatial calculations. "Ah, there it is. Good thing I checked this, lest we dive into a gas gaint,"
"That would be, like, totally bogus," Freya agreed.
"He's handy to have around," said Hauser - one of the recruits -appreciatively, patting Rusty's head.
Freya then tapped a couple of keys on the console, correcting the navigational course. "So, is that totally good to go, Rusty?"
Rusty took a moment to double check the coordinates. "Very good!" he said appraisingly.
"That little droid is totally a sawed-off genious," chimed in Schaffer, the other recruit. Like Freya, he too had a rural Corellian accent, though his was more pronounced, where Freya's had some degree of refinement.
"So, like totally hang onto your hats - we're going to Naboo!" Freya chirped, activating the hyperdrive.

Revak dropped the carbine and drew his lightsword. He activated it with a flourish and charged toward the droid that he'd faced. With a flash of light the blade cut into the target and disappeared. The droid had another surprise, a cortosis shell.
The droid leveled its weapon at Revak and fired, this time the alternate setting. A concussive wave tossed Revak back and hurled him into a pile of crates. His chest hurt from the impact of the blast, but besides that he was unhurt, the blast had merely hurled him back, little else. He rolled upright and focused his energies into the force. The enemy had a cortosis shell, but it was a droid. In his lightsword the crystal lattice of the lenses began to change subtlely under his guidance. The blade went from golden to a blue white in his hands, and its hum became different, a deeper and lower thrum.
Calra popped up once more from behind the now shattered crates and fired another volley of plasma bolts. The other droid shied back from the rain of golden death and began systematically using its blaster to destroy what cover she had.
Revak charged forward and slashed into the droid. The blade stopped once more at the cortosis but a blaze of brilliant blue electricity shot through the droid's circuitry, frying systems and ionizing the armor. The modified YVH dropped to the sand floor and lay there twitching from the touch of the ionic blade.
Revak turned and slashed the second droid, dropping it to the floor after its power coupling burst from the ion charge. He turned and hissed at Darth Bellum, "Is that the best you can do Bellum?"

A droid beeped through the streets of Mos eisley, the people still left at such a late hour taking little attention of the small remote. It relayed back everything it saw to the mouth of Ferno. HM studied the incoming transmissions, while he did his own searching.
"Since when did this dust bowl become infested with so many sith? It is next to impossible to account for all of our forces, by still, it is illogical that so many assassins have been deployed here. Especially with master here." HM mused to himself, gripping his blaster tightly.
No news of the jedi had sprung up. He was quite capable of evading the patrolling droids. The only interest happened to be a pair of reptilians who were attacking a sith. HM dismissed the data, deeming it worthless to the objective.

Link Checked his Chrono and sighed. "A ship chartered at this hour would just crash back into the planet."
The Jedi yawned and rubbed his eyes. "Perhaps rest would be the best course of action." He mused as he turned down an alleyway. He made his way down the twisting grid of Mos Eisley's back streets before seating himself down in the shadow of a dumpster.
"What a fantastic smell Ive discovered." He chuckled dryly as he placed his back against the wall and drapped his cloak about him, settling himself in for a period of sleep. For the night, Mos Eisley picked up yet another homeless beggar.

Bellum charged, twirling her lightsaber. Revak stepped back franticly blocking the spinning blade of crimson light with his ion blade. Desperate to keep from being nailed he couldn't concetrate enough to transform the crystals in his blades for fighting with someone other then a droid.
Calra rolled out from under the pile of shattered crates and grabbed the plasma carbine Revak had dropped. She spun and fired, the blast nearly missed, and Bellum sensed the danger. She spun but it was too late, the bolt had expanded out to a meter. She squeezed her eyes shut and threw herself into the force conveying her body to absorb as much of the damage as she could. The blast hit, throughing her back into the wall with surprising force and making her drop the saber.
Calra collapsed, her leg giving out from under her and toppled into the sand as Bellum moaned for a moment before leaping back onto her feat. Revak slashed across her chest delivering a nasty electral shock to her system without causing more then a slight burn from the ionic saber setting. It was enough however to finally put her out of the fight. Bellum collapsed onto the sand, unconscious.
Revak disenagaged the lightsword and pocketed it before rushing over to Calra, "Are you alright."
"I'll be fine, it just gave out on me for a second," Calra answered as Revak hauled her to her feet. A slight grin flashed across her face, "What should we do with Bellum... Kill her?"
"No, I'll put her out with the rest of the trash." Revak answered as he stepped beside her and grabbed her with his prehensial foot and tossed her out the door. Then he grabbed her by the cape and drug her out into the street, past a cloaked figure and tossed her into the dumpster. He went back into the bay and returned with the remains of the two droids adding them to the notious stench coming from dumpster.
Bellum moaned and Revak smiled at her as her eyes flickered open, "Just be glad I didn't kill you." He tossed the lightsaber up and disintegrated it with the force, leaving only the two crystals which clattered to the ground beside the dumpster, "See you next time Bellum." With that Revak returned to the docking bay.
