Dax was glad to see that for at least momentarilly, Sayael wasn't being a grouch. It was easier on them both, really. "I wouldn't necessarily call it 'small'," he said, but then again he had no right to. He had been outside his own nation less than a handful of times, unlike the other prince. "But I suppose I can see what you're saying." He finished the rest of his meal on his plate before looking back at Sayael with a grin. "I hope we find what you're looking for once we cross. Something more."

Blue eyes scanned the lobby looking area. The area consisted of marble flooring, a charcoal grey mix of rock that looked very pleasing to the eye- dark, but nice nonetheless. The lobby opened up to a number of different hallways. The blonde noticed a scurrying of pink from one corridor to the next. Did that mean the seamstress's meeting was over with his favorite messenger?
Peyton ran a few fingers through brown hair, murmuring to the knight that they'd better get back to Shannon before she completely flipped out on them. "But first, we must find something to eat," Peyton said with a grin, holding locks of brown hair between his fingers as if they were reins. Cain looked up, shaking his head to break the boy's loose grip on his hair, "I don't know my way around this castle, but I can promise you I'll make you anything you'd like when we get back to the fire kingdom."
Blue eyes brightened considerably, "That sounds like a reasonable plan to me." The knight nodded with a smile, readjusting his hold on the boy once more before answering, "Well, it's a deal then. Let's go see if we can't find our lady."

Ruehl knew very well that the Kingdom of Storms was allied with Ice, which was hardly his favorite kingdom. However, it wouldn't be great politics to show a guest from the storms kingdom maltreatment.
"Perfectly understandable," he agreed, "So... welcome!" So ... this was it? Haar was a commander, not exactly the castle tour guide, now was he?
"I have a better idea, Alti. What would you say if I could set you up on a tour with Triton? He's my geography advisor. I'm sure you'd fare better with him.. I really would like it if you could see the castle in as much of its entirety as possible. And then perhaps... the commander and I could meet you for dinner." Ruehl snapped his fingers and created a quick flash of light-- a spark. The burst vanished and a man in his mid-30s ran up to the trio.
"Your majesty?" he inquired, tossing a long ponytail of orange over his shoulder. "How may I help you?"
"Triton, this is Alti. Alti-- Triton," he introduced. "Triton, would you mind taking this fine guest for a formal tour about the castle? Whatever he wants to see... with discretion, of course."
The man nodded and graciously offered to let Alti go ahead of him. "Sir Alti.... Allow me to escort you around, will you?" He guided the youth with much enthusiasm to the main lobby once more. "The Atrium, Sir Alti. King Alberto built this main part of the castle in 1102. Notice how it goes up for a good 10 stories. Isn't that remarkable, Sir Alti?"
When Alti's silky fuschia gradually disappeared around the corner, peridot eyes looked back curiously at the commander. Was Haar... disappointed to be left just with him? Perhaps.. this Alti character was the one Ruehl assumed the commander might harbor deep feelings for.
He smiled, unsure. "Is this okay, Commander? I must admit... my actions just now... weren't entirely out of selfless compassion..." he admitted softly, eyes darting to the side. He tossed his crimson bangs back and returned his gaze to the other. "It's been a while.. I don't even remember the last time I got to talk to just you."

[[OH TRITON. <3 XDD]]
Haar watched stiffly as Alti was nearly dragged out of the gardens by a ...rather animated character, apparently one of the prince's personal tutors. Swallowing thickly as the teen questioned him, the dark haired man turned his vibrant, red gaze towards Ruehl with a subtle frown. "Of course...it's...fine," he muttered in a much less diginifed manner. What in the world would the prince want to talk about out here? They weren't in the safety of the meeting halls or the royals' quarters... He couldn't hide behind one of his lower ranked soldiers, any of his generals, not even the boyishly cute mannerisms of Peyton.
He was alone... and that notion was not a very pleasant one.
He just needed to keep his calm, swallow down that rising panic and look the prince straight in the eye and- "Yes. It has been quite a long time, almost a year if I remember correctly. Do...you need any specific briefing over the past year?" He suggested, hoping that yes, indeed that was the case. He could easily ramble on for hours about what had happened over that past year. His hopes of being able to talk war strategies with the prince were almost crushed when Ruehl's earlier comment seemed to sink in properly. Running a hand through dark hair, the commander's eyes quickly sunk to the ground.
"What...sort of compassion then, my-" Haar stopped himself before he could use the boy's title, "Ruehl?"

Faryn picked at the interior wood of the ship boredly. He would probably have to wait for hours until he would feel the ship leave the dock.
Jillian's voice surprised him... so, the green-haired teen decided to follow his letter? The corner of Faryn's mouth twitched dangerously; a time where he might have smiled. But the sentiment left him as Jillian's voice rambled on about hopeless nonsense. 'How annoying,' the teenage prince thought, irritated, 'He acts like a pesky guardian. A bloody know-it-all.'
"Shut up, Jillian," he grumbled softly. The other just HAD to draw attention to his existence on this ship, didn't he? Well, that wouldn't do. Faryn silently left his hiding place and came up behind the shouting male. A slender-fingered hand cupped around the teen's mouth and Faryn leaned up, over Jillian's shoulder, to whisper into the other's ear. His hood fell back, freeing his silver locks to come forward.
"Would you shut up?!" he hissed, clearly unhappy with the other.

Mie-tanuki Rosaline stopped dead in his tracks at the other's words, his expression mingling surprise with a hint of horror. He hurriedly made a low curtsy - the other already thought he was female and it would be weird to bow - to hide both his confusion and his horror. The dresses were for the princesses and they were his sisters, so... he must be the prince. He felt something at his heart... it hurt... like a clenching hand. "I - I beg your pardon," he said, keeping low in his curtsy. "I... I had no idea you were the prince..." He feared for a moment that he might have been rude eralier, but that was over riden by the realisation that his freedom was, at last, completely gone. His expression now was one of hopelessnes, although he tried to cover it with a smile. Muertian couldn't hold in a laugh at the sudden change in the other's demeanor. So much fuss over him being a royal! He didn't notice the other's horror as anything more than mere nervousness usually experienced by those who were concerned he'd have them arrested for not being gracious enough to a prince. A mirthful sound erupted off his tongue and his emerald eyes lit up with laughter.
"So changed, Miss Rosaline! And for who? Me?" he chuckled, before putting a hand under the other's chin in an attempt to keep the other's eyes on him. After the initial laughing shock wore off, he insisted, "Curtsying is horrible posture. You shouldn't go so low in it. Please stop. ... I didn't exactly introduce myself to you as Prince Muertian Crux Reginald Evequoi Requiem of the Kingdom of Death, now did I?" A grin returned to his face. "Is it so important to you that I am, Miss Rosaline? Do you find that I've violated you in anyway?"

Ruehl smiled easily and shrugged, "No compassion, really. I wanted to spend some time with you, I suppose." The statement was quite true. Ruehl wanted to know all about what was new with the commander and wanted a companion seeing as how Malachai had been called to visit with his aunt and uncle in the village.
"'Chai's gone for the rest of the day. I'm a little bored... and I'd like to hang out with someone relatively familiar that's not 10 years older or younger than me, for a change," he chuckled as the end of his comment entered the air between them.
All the advisors... the tutors, his parents. Being an only child wasn't the easiest thing. There weren't any playmates or companions built into a family. All Ruehl had was Malachai-- his best friend since they were practically in the womb. Malachai's mother had been the Queen's closest friend and confidant. Ruehl and his friend had both been born in the castle, but the pregnancy of Malachai's mother ended tragically for her and Lord Piromian. She died hours after the child was born. When Lord Piromian committed suicide unconsolably the next night, an orphaned Malachai was immediately absorbed into the royal family as if he were practically blood.
Ruehl hoped Haar wouldn't turn him down.

He gave the other a true smile that, despite his femenine features seemed exactly like that of his true form. "Anyway, as soon as you're done we can pack up and leave. The horses can't come, of course, but they'll be staying with Haeri for about a week in case we come back quickly. After that, they'll be sent back. They're smart, so they'll understand."

Alti could tell that the prince wanted to be alone with Haar. It was quite easy to tell, actually, especially since he was an experienced people watcher. There was something in the way the prince seemed to be a little... anxcious - nervous, maybe? - that told Alti what he was looking for. So he followed the guide without any objections, nodding or pausing whenever he needed to, but for the most time letting his mind wander. He didn't like being called 'Sir Alti' too much, but he wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone right now and it would be too bothersome to argue with someone about names just now. Better to just enjoy his freedome while he had it.

Jillian did indeed stop as he felt cool fingers curl around to cover his lips. He nodded shortly and brought his own hand up to remove the other's before he stepped slightly back from the prince so he could face him. "Don't worry, Dax and Sayael really couldn't care less that you're hear," he said with a small shrug. "I just... I don't want you to go there..." he murmured, his eyes downcast. He had very few memories of that place, but the few memories he did have were full of pain and confusion - mostly of the poisons that could only be produced with the herbs on that side of the Wall and the scars they had left. "I mean... if you go, you won't come back. I... or... well, I don't want that to happen." It was that simple in his mind - anyone who crossed over was never coming back. How could they when that land drained the magic out of people?

Rosaline straightened up and tried his best to smile, although his eyes were brimming with painn and shock. "I - no... you haven't violated me in any way..." he murmured softly, carefully avoiding answering the first question. Of course it mattered to him that the other was - well, if not the prince, a prince of Death. And he had already been bound tightly by his fate - he could feel it now that he knew what it was. He gulped, feeling as if his entire body were bound in tight chains. The days that had seemed so pleasant and bright before now seemed dark and filled with confusion and trickery. Rosaline was extremely shaken.
"W-well... umm, you wanted to see the... the dresses, didn't you?" he murmured, trying and failing to look the other in the eye. He... he needed to be alone. If he started crying in front of the other, more trouble would follow. After all, no human would cry rose petals; it was unheard of.

Dax wasn't entirely sure about leaving his horse behind with a complete stranger. Then again, if Sayael trusted him with keeping Isfahel, then it should be fine. After nodding his own understanding, he came to his feet with a newly born eagerness. "Alright! I'm ready," he announced before extending a hand down to Sayael. "Let us venture forth, my lovely fiancee, to lands unbeknownst."

"So maybe you're not completely hopeless after all," he said, grinning. "Come on, we can say bye to the horses when we reach the ship. We'll need them to carry our stuff, anyway." With that said, he stood up and made his way to the door. He led Isfahel out and to the boat - prefurring to loop a hand through his steed's silky mane and walk along than to ride - and then began to take all the packs off. He shouldered one and the guards also helped and so the transfering of luggage was quick. Sayael ran a hand down Isfahel's long neck, hugging him for a long moment before he finally boarded. He smiled broadly, expectation of the unknown fueling his desire.

"Hopeless?! I was never hopeless," the disguised blonde retorted, following the other to the door. "I was basically in control of every situation that came to pass. If anyone was hopeless, it would be you. You grouched the whole way here." It was true he had his own fair share of whining and complaining, but he wasn't about to voice that aloud. Once outside, he lead Jacqueline to the boat, letting the guards take most of the load onto the boat for him. He cuppes the horse's large jaws and gave a short speech about how she needed to stay healthy and something about not kicking over the barrels of feed anymore back home. With that done, Dax joined Sayael aboard. "I've never been on an actual boat before," he said with a grin, quickly moving to look over the edge at the water below. "How do we get it to move?"
