Yuki chased after him, but skidded to a halt when he suddenly collapsed and went rolling. She blinked several times, staring in a slight shock until she lurched forward and came up beside him. "...are you ok?" she asked anxiously, nudging him lightly with her nose. "I'm sorry!" She placed a paw on his shoulder, pushing back and forth lightly.

Lee was laughing slighlty and pinned her down again putting his paw to her throat lightly. "Pinned again," he said with a laughing bark. His paw was red from the ice and little trickles of blood lay in his nails but other than that it was fine. Lee barked again, "two to none, looks like Im ahead." He released her throat and took off again in a run but limped to a stop cause his paw was hurting and licked it with his healing tongue.

Yuki was on the ground again before she knew it, staring up at him through wide eyes. "Ah!" she cried suddenly, barking rather loudly. "That wasn't fair!" She flipped onto her stomach and then scrambled to her feet, taking off after him. She winced as she saw him limping though, the scent of blood reaching her nose. Her ears drooped as she realized it was her fault, but she still kept running after him. When he stopped, she sprang at him again, intending to land on his back and possibly knock him over.

Lee licked the blood from his paw and suddenly was knocked to the ground. He smiled as he went down and was pinned by Yuki, "damn two to one," he said with a laughing bark. Lee looked at her downed ears and pressed his nose to her cheek before letting her see the healed paw, "Im fine," he barked to her in a laughterous bark.

Yuki smiled faintly, but it brightened when she saw his paw. "...ok," she barked. "Two to one." She jumped off of him, glanced over her shoulder, and then dashed off around the lake. Her ears had perked again as she raced forward, the three tails behind her like streamers in the wind.

Lee laughed and charged at her with full speed as soon as he reached his feet. His tail wasjust a streek behind him, Lee was catching up. He slowed it to a playful run and ran beside her now, paw for paw, nose for nose and looked at her through the corner of his eye smiingly. "Now a race, first one to pass the tree wins," he said keeping his pace equal to her.

Yuki heard him coming up behind her, but somehow managed to fight back the fear that was building. It was too similiar to her being chased back home.. But she managed to keep herself calm by reminding herself several times who it was that was following. She glanced at him when he came up beside her and then looked ahead again, eyes finding the tree he was talking about. She nodded, not looking away. "Right," she said, smiling slightly. "Ready when you are."

Lee smiled and ran along side her, watching the tree steadily as they came up to it. "When we pass it the race is on," he said and as soon as he was sure his nose had passed it he took off running alittle faster and edging by her. "Lets go," he barked back to her as his paws went faster in a hurry to go.

Yuki nodded again, fighting the urge to lurch ahead. But as soon as she passed the tree, she darted ahead, at a much quicker pace than she'd been at a moment before. Her paws were tapping silently against the ground, actually tearing up very small patches as she pushed against them to edge further ahead. Or, at least try to.

Lee smiled and ran next to her edging his nose past her abit as they went around the the lake. The gleams of moonlight catching his eyes here and there as he pushed himself forward. The fireflies buzzed aroun the lake as they ran circling the first bend. Lee pushed alittle more letting his body go further and his tail straightenning behind him.

Yuki glanced at him out of the corner of her eye and sped up a little further, trying to keep ahead. She would basically be just a white blur to those with regular eye sight, if anyone happened to be watching. She was glad they were alone though. She let out a small bark, inching her way to the front.

Lee noticed her running faster and gainning on him, he barked back a laughter and kept his speed the same. He looked ahead to see the halfway mark and smiled his kanine teeth, letting the moonlight gleam over it through its reflection of the water and it was as if in streaks. Lee kept his pace the same still, letting his paw have some relief from the icey pain that wasnt warming fast enough. His tail was still in a straight line and it seemed as if it was being chased by the wind.

Yukiko was starting to take slightly more control, as she tended to do when she shifted into her fox form. Yukiko was also more competitive than Yuki. She began going even faster, three tails streaming straight behind her. It was a huge temptation to use ice again, but she kept herself from doing so, since she still felt bad from before. Instead she just increased her speed simply by running normally, again slowly catching upon.

Lee again noticed her change in speed and thought to himself, 'its yukiko, she's pushing Yuki,' he felt the pain in his paw growing as he kept his pace and sped up, it numbed slightly. Lee had to keep it at this pace for it to numd away fully, the pain kept itself for awhile then went dorment again. Lee shook it off from his head as they kept going and rounded the third cormer of the lake, the tree was insight.

Actually seeing her goal there in front of her, Yukiko urged her even more, speeding up even further. We can do it! she cheered, voice ringing through Yuki's head. Yuki just laughed, aloud in a small series of barks, as she spend up a bit more. Her tongue was hanging out the side of her mouth and she was starting to breath a little heavily, from pushing herself to keep up with Lee, but there was no way she'd give up. For one, Yukiko would never forgive her.
