After Andarien translated again, Shiro sighed heavily and pinched his nose between his fingers.

"And poisons can act differently ... a weak or slow acting poison could have been administered long before, but a quick acting poison could have taken place shortly before then ..."

Andarien grimaced. "So we don't know."

Shiro sighed. "Yeah. We don't know." He looked at the two pokemon again. "I guess we just have to keep an eye on them ... and see if it happens again, and what the circumstances are. In the meantime, I'll read through what information I have about Pokemon and see what I can find."

"Okay," Miyuki nodded and paused a bit before looking down at the two Pokemon, "Can we still have them in our beds?"

That had been one thing that had bothered her. Especially since she didn't know how Senka and Ai handle it and she knew that Andarien liked sleeping with his Pokemon.

Shiro shook his head. "Until we find out what's causing this, it's better not to," he told Miyuki apologetically. "Better safe than sorry. The last thing you need is to die in your sleep. We don't know how it works."

Andarien looked sad at that prospect, but he understood.

Miyuki nodded at this, "Alright, for now then."

She should probably also clean herself well before going to bed too, since she was holding Ai, though Ai didn't have any poison on her right at that moment.

Andarien yawned. "Mi, did we have any other questions?" he asked her sleepily. "Cos I'm tired ..."

It had been a long and very adventuresome day, and the following day promised to be just the same.

Miyuki thought about it a bit more before shaking her head. She didn't think there were any other quesitons.

"I don't think so, that would be about it," she looked down at Ai, "Do you mind if I put you back into your ball? I need to carry the book."

Ai sat on her haunches, knowing fully she was going to be taking a trip inside her pokeball.

Andarien stood up again. "Thanks again, Shiro," he said softly. "Let us know if you find something in your book, okay?"

Shiro nodded. "Of course. Good night."

"Good night." Andarien motioned for Eon and Ponydash to follow him, and headed back to his bedroom to wash up for bed.

The next day, Miyuki woke up as usual. Though it felt a bit strange since Ai couldn't sleep with her and Senka. She tried her best and set up a bed for Ai so at least she would be comfortable.

She really did hope the poison wasn't something that would always happen (or better yet, she hoped it hadn't come from Ai). Instead of meditation as usual though, she was reading through the list of attacks and information concern Espeons, and was surprised on how complicated it sounded.

"I guess this means," Miyuki murmured as she made her way down to the dining hall, "That you'll have to take part in meditation with me."

She looked down at Ai thoughtfully.

"I mean, sure it says, this attack could make your opponent float, but if you can push someone with your mind, I'm sure you could lift them up and toss them within reason, and for that matter it doesn't have to be a person, it could be an object. For that matter... how much can a psychic lift with their mind?"

Andarien hadn't slept well, but he was awake and ready when the sun came up to go down for breakfast.

"Eon, you stay here and I'll bring food back for you, all right?" he told his Pokemon seriously. "I'd take you with if I could but just in case I better not for now. Ponydash, you too, that way Eon won't be all alone."

The Ponyta pawed at the ground, but it lowered its head in acquiescence.

Andarien made sure his clothes were neatly done up, pulled his goggles over his eyes, and left his room to head down for breakfast.

The moment Miyuki entered the dining room she looked for Shiro. Even though she mentally reminded herself that Shiro probably hadn't taken a look in those books yet about the Pokemon.

If he did she would be kind of worried about his working habits.

Lin was already down there with Earendil.

Shiro was indeed already sitting at the breakfast table, though he didn't seem to be paying much attention to the food. He had his tablet on the table in front of him, and while he was scrolling with one hand, his eyes fixed upon the screen, he had a cup in the other hand and was taking only occasional sips from it.

Earendil in the meantime was making plans with Lin as to when they might take Lancaeriel to the city to see if she might find her husband, or just to see how it had changed (aside from the tailor and florist the day before), or the new settlement.

Miyuki resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Really, she loved her cousin, but he needed to get a life of a hobby. So instead she took a seat beside Kaito, because at least he (though as annoying he could be sometimes) knew not to work when he was supposed to be eating.

"Don't forget... King Carathir is setting up that spar between Alaessa and this other person," Lin reminded Earendil quietly as they talked about what they would do today and soon in the future.

It would be good to take Lancaeriel into the city as soon as possible, but Lin wanted to be back to see this spar.

"Morning," Kaito greeted Miyuki between bites. "How goes?"

He was a neko of few words, especially when he was in the middle of eating (or napping).

Earendil nodded at Lin's comment. "Though I don't think that's until after lunch, right?" he asked. "So if we're back for lunch, we should be back in plenty of time."

He didn't want to miss the spar either: by the way Alassëa had been talking the day before, it seemed as though she didn't want to make a habit of this.

"All is well, though it's morning so I can't see it being bad," Miyuki shrugged.

It wasn't like anything had happened yet, she hadn't even had her first lesson of the day. Though she didn't know if she would have any lessons at all today.

"True," Lin nodded, "That should work though, and we should get through a good portion of the city just in the morning."

Provided they didn't stop and talk for too long, one never knew sometimes.

Kaito chuckled. "You never know. Some people aren't morning people. You've never had a problem getting up, but you know your brother."

He paused and looked around. "Speak of the devil, where is he?"

Andarien had not yet made it down to the dining room, as he was still on his way down the stairs. Without Eon and Ponydash by his side, he was slower, more thoughtful, so it was taking him longer than usual to reach the dining hall.

Earendil smiled at Lin. "We just have to make sure we make a schedule and keep to it. We'll be here a while, we can do visiting later. Right now the focus needs to be on getting through as much of it as we can without rushing it too badly. Give Lancaeriel the chance she needs to see if her husband is here."
