After all, she used it countless times in their training against one another, the period during that time and now, might have been rather long, but her fighting hadn't changed one bit. Sighing, Divine saw the golden roots come out of the ground and protect her from his swords. As his swords remained in the roots, Divine didn't seem to bothered by it, nor was he worried about her teleportation. Once she appeared before him and sent a blast of golden flames at him, Divine summoned forth his only known, holy sword, Requiem. As the beautiful crafted, silver and white longsword appeared in his hand, Divine positioned it in front of him, diagonally. This allowed for him to block the flames as well as redirect them towards another location, by merely moving his sword towards said direction. divine would do this, moving his sword to the left and directing the flames towards the golden roots which housed his swords. The flames would burn away the roots and free his swords, after which, Divine used them and yet again aimed them at Mirai. Clearly he was not using his full power or even trying his best in this battle. Suddenly, Divine vanished, his speed far faster than it was before. Appearing in the air above the battlefield, Divine looked down as his swords came towards Mirai. Divine then moved his sword upwards into the air and swung it downwards, causing a an explosive force to hit the ground in front of Mirai, this would kick up jagged rocks and smoke, hopefully temporarily disorienting the girl. ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊

Mirai then went on to protect herself and Texas, from the explosion and debris. Using her telekinetic abilities as well as the fire she controlled, to create a sort of field. Watching her not only send more swords of light at him, but a telekinetic wave and the flames strait him, Divine held up his hand and summoned a rather tall and dense wall of dark energy. The energy would be compressed unto itself, causing the wall to become sturdy and way more durable. As the attacks collided with his energy wall, Divine hovered there, watching as the swords only impaled it, but the telekinetic wave would cause it to crack and the fires completely destroyed it, but by the time the fires could reach him, Divine had landed on the ground behind Mirai, his sword aimed right at Texas. ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊

If things continued like this, Divine would have to resort to using one of his rather, "extreme" abilities. If he did that, then all of Death City would notice his presence as well. As Mirai released a blast of flames at him, Divine swiped his sword the moment the blast made contact with it, redirecting it to the side of him and into the ground. Divine then swung his sword in the air, multiple times, causing multiple explosions around Mirai and one on the ground under her feet. ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊

00SpiritedAway00 Sorry guys I'm moving my sister into her dorm so I won't be able to post until later Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas had been silent during most of the battle, doing his best to focus on the fight. Divine aimed for him several times but Mirai managed to keep him out of danger. He had to trust her to keep them alive while he revved up his resonance force farther and farther as he did his best to keep up. When he heard Mirai talk about using the move they had been practicing, he nodded. Ready when you are, he replied.

He figured that this was due to her advanced regeneration factor, combined with her and her partner's soul resonance. She was indeed a powerful opponent, but to Divine she was still beneath him. As she then launched towards him and swung her sword, its flames even stronger, Divine summoned the same black energy wall from earlier, behind him, protecting himself from the roots. Yet again, her fighting style was predictable, she relied too much on her telekinesis. Divine then raised his sword and swung it towards Mirai's creating an explosion between the two blades, before either one could make contact with the others. This explosion would engulf both Divine and Mirai, if neither did anything. ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊

Standing farther away from Mirai, Divine watched as she slammed her blade into the ground and almost instantly, the ground under him would erupt as a large wave of fire came up, completely engulfing Divine and his sword in its fiery path. Once the fires died down, Divine could be seen standing there, his body bleeding badly and covered in severe burns. Honestly, it was a miracle that he did not melt away completely, but that was not the true problem here. The problem was, that Divine could have dodged or at least tried to defend himself against the flames, but this time he did nothing and as a result, sustained major damage to his body. Of course, Divine did this because he was going to have to make it convincing that Mirai really had defeated him or at least injured him, but Mirai did not know any of this. Not saying a word or showing an ounce of pain, Divine released his sword, causing it to vanish. Suddenly, dark energy encased his right hand and Divine would slam it into the ground, causing a line of pure dark energy, to surge towards the duo. If it should hit, the energy would erupt around Mirai and form into hundreds of black energy blades, slicing into her. However, should she dodge or block the surge, Divine used summoned a second plain longsword and through his darkness he would unleash a fury of black energy waves at the girl. ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊

She then sent the barrier outwards, attempting to use his own attacks against him. As if that was not enough, Mirai went on to fire off yet another wave of flames at him as well as more golden roots covered in flames. All of which were aimed at the severely weakened and damaged Divine. Through out all of the chaos, Divine remained calm and even sensed Mirai's soul as it radiated madness. However, Diine had no time to ponder what the girl was doing or thinking, he had to get himself out of this predicament. Firstly, he had to deal with his own attacks, which was easy for him to do. With the attacks being composed of his own dark energy, Divine would wave his hands in front of him, causing all of the darkness from his attacks, to form into pure dark energy. Divine then used the dark energy and wrapped it all around his body, compressing it to the utmost limit. This formed an nigh impenetrable sphere of black energy. The sphere would easily block the flames that came his way, he even stopped some of the roots but others would manage to penetrate it, causing the sphere to shatter like glass, revealing Divine's arm, thigh and part of his stomach, pierced by the flaming roots. Quickly summoning his numerous swords, Divine sliced away the roots and freed himself, but his body was nearing its limit. Looking at Mirai, Divine showed no emotion, no pain, almost as if all of this was nothing to him. Divine then closed his eyes, "They are not done yet." he thought, before opening them and looking back at Mirai. He had to buy even more time for the others, but if he were to use his true strength, it could prove costly to the overall plan. Sighing, Divine had no choice but to heal his wounds to a certain degree as to prolong the battle even more. This could be seen as purple energy covering his wounds and restoring his power, "Come now, is that all? Atticus put up a better fight than that and he was missing an arm." he told her, wanting to provoke Mirai into using more and more of her powers, this would drain her faster and therefore cause him to use less of his own powers, prolonging the battle even more. ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊

Holding up his hand, Divine summoned four swords, which crossed one another, forming a shield to protect him from the blast. As he listened to her, Divine narrowed his eyes showing that something she had said struck a nerve in him. Summoning back his sword known as Requiem, Divine deflected the last wave she sent at him and then teleported in front of her. "Children should no their place. You speak as if you've lived for an millennium. You've been blessed to live in these times, you do not know or understand the true meaning of war, fear, hatred." Divine was recalling his own mortal life and the countless wars, all of his friends and family, despite being the Demon King, he was once human, one of the very few that were born human. Divine then swung his sword, causing the area in front of Mirai to explode, "Until you've experienced all my pain. My hatred and disgust for this world, you will never understand me. Whether you are my daughter or not, it makes no difference, in the end, if you stand before me. I will kill you." Divine stated. ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊
