Arielle Shore
Maria and Arielle were too engrossed in their own little planning to notice the boys game of dunking the other into the water until they saw bubbles. They both appreciated the break from the intense rowing. The water was cool and the weather was nice, and they were both with the person that they loved the most.
Eventually their conversation had shifted to another topic, such as the recent gossip that Maria happened to learn at school to wondering how Arielle was enjoying her new job. It always seemed like they never had enough time to talk about all that stuff, which was partially true since they were at school, talked about school related things and went home or on dates, depending on the person.
Just as Arielle was finishing up what she was saying, she heard Kedrick calling out to them. She glanced at him and smiled, before copying the same movement that he was doing so that she could be heard. "We're just having a girl talk, Kedrick!"
"If you want," Maria added, raising her voice, "You can join us over here and take part of the conversation! Right now Arielle and I are discussing about our favorite male celebrities~. You have just GOT to take part of this. We can always learn new things about each other~."
Arielle giggled and gently shoved Maria. "I think you're just trying to see if Dimitri gets jealous or not by the guys you list, Ria," Arielle teased with a playful smirk.
"Now why would you think of something like that?" Maria asked, pretending to be appalled, "I'm shocked that you could ever even think of such a thing. I would never blatantly list a bunch of attractive male actors, artists, or even models for the sake of making Dimitri flare up and anger and look adorable when he's jealous. That's such a harsh thing of you to even consider!"
Arielle continued giggling, finding the tone of voice that her friend was speaking in hilarious. Sometimes, she could tell what was on Maria's mind and at other times, she couldn't. However, she would like the boys to join them before their last race. She felt so separated from them, even though they weren't that far apart. "But you really should join us at sometime. You're going to make your girlfriends feel like you don't care about them enough...," Arielle continued, playfully acting like she was upset about the entire idea in itself.
(Whoo~. I finally made a post. Sorry about the wait x.x. Edit for grammatical issues = w =.)

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri shifted in the water, listening to the girls talking to Kedrick. He smiled at them, until he heard the words 'male' and 'celebrity' in quick succession. His eyebrows knit together, and he felt a nerve in his forehead twitch slightly. Dimitri, like everyone else in the world, had his flaws, his just happened to show up a little clearer than most other peoples. He could definitely count jealousy as one of them, that, among other things, like a hot temper, impatience, sloppiness, secrecy, and extremely bad dating habits. Dimitri took a breath, willing his face to relax. He knew maria was just joking, or in fact she was just saying that to get a rise out of him. If that was the case, he wouldn't give her the devilish pleasure, and smiled in a lazy, careless sort of way. Kedrick, pushing his hair, still gritty with mud, out of his face, smiled at Arielle as she insisted that they join them. "You don't have to ask me twice." He said with a grin, and began swimming over towards the shore. He could feel the water being disturbed beside him, and with out opening his eyes in the murky water, he knew Dimitri was on his way as well.
Kedrick stopped himself, the water sloshing around him and over his shoulders as he pulled himself to an abrupt halt. "Now now girls," He chided them lightly, a small smile still tugging at the corner of his lips. "You can't think that way, Dimitri and I still love you." He said with a smirk.Dimitri's dark head broke the surface, water running from his hair and down his face, into his eyes. "Right," He agreed, nodding once. "Kedrick just had to thrash me a little for putting mud in his hair." Dimitri pushed his own hair out of his face and looked up at Arielle. He smiled sheepishly, "But that's not the point!" Dimitri said quickly, holding up his dripping hands. He glanced around, looking up at the sky. "The point is, we still need to get our last race in before dark, we've been out here longer that we thought." Kedrick followed Dimitri's gaze up to the sky. "He's right..." He mused, seeing that the brilliant streaks of color from earlier were beginning to fade. He pinched his lips together, remembering that the boats had to be back soon. "We should do that now, then get showered and dried off. Okay?" He asked, turning to the girl's for their opinions.

Arielle Shore
Maria looked over at Dimitri after she had said that, expecting him to be all red in the face. However, that proved to be wrong since all she was him smile a bit. She knew he was just playing a show because she had seen him jealous. One big example that she remembered was when they had that big argument when Arielle was still in hospital. She was able to make Dimitri jealous when she had pretended to have an interest in Keon.
Of course, she thought with a small smile, It all worked out for us in the end and Keon is happily dating Prim. She wasn't that disappointed that Dimitri didn't show any type of jealousy because she knew him a bit. Not as well as Kedrick, obviously, but she still had a grasp on his personality.
Arielle smiled and moved back into the water a bit as Kedrick and Dimitri were heading over to them. She giggled and just wrapped her arms around him, kissing his cheek. "Well, I do hope so," Arielle said with a small smile, "Or I'm pretty sure your sisters would go off with your head in a heartbeat."
She looked over at Dimitri as he spoke and giggled as he explained what they were doing. She blinked in surprise at Dimitri's sudden change, but knew that it was nothing to be surprised about anymore. She nodded in agreement and looked up, knowing the the time continued to tick away. She could barely believe that so much time had already passed. I guess it's true that time flies when you're having fun. I just can't imagine how this week is going to turn out then... she thought, hoping that it wouldn't fly by right past them.
"Sure, that sounds like a plan," Maria said, heading over to everyone else, "Besides, the sooner we finish, the sooner we can eat. All this rowing has made me very hungry."
Arielle giggled but felt a rumble in her own stomach. "I guess I'm not the only one," she said almost sheepishly, feeling a bit embarrassed for her stomach growling, even though she didn't know why she was embarrassed.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Kedrick grinned, reaching up to self conciously flatten his hair. "Right, sounds like a plan." He said with a smile. "We'll race, grab some clothing from the camp site, get cleaned off and start dinner right away." He said, nodding his head. Kedrick stole a quick glance over at Dimitri just to make sure this was what he had had in mind as well. Dimitri also nodded his agreement. "Okay, let's hit the boats then." He said, grabbing the side of one of the canoes and pulling himself in. It took a little doing, and some flailing to make sure the boat didn't tip, but Dimitri landed with a wet 'plop' in the bottom of the boat. The dark hair boy pushed himself up, and slid onto one of the canoe seats. "All right Arielle, you're with me this time." He said with a smile, reaching forward and patting the second seat. Now that his arms were rested, he was eager to get to their last race, and he was determined to win this last one.Kedrick smiled, sloshing up onto the shore and circling around to the dock. Water streamed off his as he did so and he left large puddles of water wherever his feet touched the dock. Kedrick shivered slighlty. Once he was out of the water, the cooling night air was chilly against his wet skin and clothing. He knew once he was in a dry outfit the air would feel as warm and mild as it had all day, but since he was wet, it seemed much colder than it really was.
Kedrick grabbed hold of the other canoe, pulling it right up close to the dock before stepping in. "Watch your step Maria." He cautioned as the boat rocked slightly beneath him, pitching on the surface of the water. He glanced over to where Dimitri was getting ready for their last race. In a way, Kedrick hoped that Dimitri and Arielle won this one, that way, each of them would have been in the victors boat at least once. Besides, Dimitri tried hard, and it would be nice to see it pay off for him, but that didn't mean that Kedrick was going to take it easy on him in the slightest. He smiled, looking over at Maria. "Ready to cream these guys?" He asked with a smile. Dimitri snorted derisively. "You wish." He said with a challenging smirk. "You'll be eating out dust!....water....bubbles...whatever..." He said, frowning slightly as he tried to fix his statement. He redirected his attention to the post again. "To the post, just like before." He instructed.

"I second this idea," Maria said with a bright grin, "Nothing rewards such hard working rowers like us like food can. I just can't wait to know what's on our menu. Although, to be honest, I'm pretty sure I could hunt down a huge animal and eat it. Like a bear!"
"That's a bit too much, Maria," Arielle said with a small smile, getting out of the water and heading back to the docks so they could get into their boats for the last race. "Plus, I'm sure if you did anything as risky as that, Dimitri and your father would have heart attacks."
Maria waved Arielle's comment off with a shrug, grinning back at her friend. It was strange being out of the water all of a sudden after being so used to it. "The men of my life know I'll be perfectly fine," she said confidently, "But I guess you're right. A bear is too much... Looks like it's back to the drawing board for me about my next meal."
Arielle giggled and headed over towards Dimitri since he was her partner for their final race. She got into the canoe carefully, not wanting to accidentally fall into the water again. She wondered how the final race would turn out and who would be the victors that time.
"Don't worry Kedrick, I will," Maria replied as she carefully got into the boat. Like Arielle, the last thing she needed was for her to end up getting herself injured while trying to enter a boat. She laughed and nodded at Kedrick, a confident smile on her face. She wanted to respond, but Dimitri beat her to it, claiming how he and Arielle would be the ones to win. She smiled lightly and nodded when he told them where the race would end.
"May the best team win," Arielle said with a friendly grin, making sure to keep a warm sportsmanship like atmosphere around the friends.
Maria nodded and looked at Kedrick before whispering to him, "Kedrick, I hope you don't mind, but... I really want Dimitri to win this last one... You think we can do poorly on purpose, just for him?" She wasn't sure if Kedrick would be one hundred percent sure on her idea, but she wanted to see Dimitri smiling proudly because he had accomplished something he had worked so hard on. Plus, it would be a nice way to end the race, so that way, everyone could be a winner.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri looked up, his eyes widening, startled by Maria's suggestion about hunting down a gigantic bear for their dinner. His mouth opened and he was about to protest when Arielle cut in. Dimitri closed his mouth, and after a moment, couldn't help but crack a smile. "Yeah," He said, agreeing with Maria. "A bear would be a bit much. Besides," He said, lacing his fingers together behind his head and grinning at her, chin tipped up. "If anything, you should let the men handle a job like that." He said with a smirk. Kedrick snorted, shaking his head. "You and I haven't been hunting once in our entire life let me remind you." He said, looking over at him and he saw the teasing gleam in his friend's eyes that told him that he clearly wasn't really considering the idea. Dimitri waved his hand noncommittally. "Well there's a first for everything isn't there?" He asked, snatching up his oar and looking like he was ready to go."Kedrick smiled and was about to reply and start the race when Maria leaned forward to whisper in his ear. He blinked, mildly taken aback by her suggestion. He hesitated slightly, and then turned around a bit so he could lean over and whisper back to her. "I dunno..." Kedrick said slowly. "Dimitri's pretty good, but we can still give him a good scare, and if it doesn't look like he and Arielle'll make it, that we do something clumsy and fall back a bit." He said with a smile, feeling like spy's, pulling together some secret plan to rig the competition. Except this time, they were rigging it against themselves and in Dimitri and Arielle's favor. " Between you and me..." He said conspiratorially. "I'd like to see Dimitri win one too. The only thing that bothers me is that this will put Arielle in the win boat three times in a row." Kedrick finished, knowing that Maria would know he was kidding. Dimitri craned his head, seeing the two of them whispering to each other. "Hey!" He called and he was sure they could hear the smile in his voice. "We gonna race or something? Or are you two going to sit there and plan our untimely demise all night?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Kedrick straightened, turning back around to face front. "No, we're definitely going to race." He said, and then braced himself for the first stroke. "Go!" He shouted, his voice carrying clear over the darkening water.

"What do you mean I should let a man handle the job?" Maria asked, making a face, "Are you trying to say that I'm not possible of stopping a bear all by myself? I may look fragile sweetheart, but don't ever underestimate me love."
Arielle just listened and smiled lightly. Could she see Maria wrestling with a bear two times her size, probably. She had wrestled with her brothers before, but Arielle wasn't sure if that was the same thing. Even though she knew that it was all a joke, she knew that Maria didn't take Dimitri's comment about men handling the situation too well. "Well, looks like we're done about the bears, right?"
"Of course, Ari~," Maria responded with a bright grin before Kedrick responded to her earlier proposition. She listened attentively, knowing just how true Kedrick was. Plus, she didn't want to make it seem like to Dimitri that they were doing it on purpose (or too much that he realized they weren't trying). She wouldn't want Dimitri to feel like his pride was being made fun of or some other such nonsense that would probably be running through his mind. She nodded and was glad that Kedrick wanted Dimitri to win too, and she found herself grinning at his comment about making Arielle the winner for the third time in a row.
"If I won with Arielle and you won with Arielle," Maria started, "It's obviously that she's good luck and Dimitri will win. Let's just hope that our idea works out, no?"
Arielle found herself giggling at Dimitri's statement towards Kedrick and Maria. She wondered what they were planning, especially since Maria was pretty skilled with making up plans. When Kedrick confirmed that they were still racing and called out "Go!", Arielle pushed off with her first stroke. She wasn't sure how quick Dimitri was, but she would work hard to match his strokes.
Maria felt pumped for the final race, and as Kedrick gave everyone the signal, her oar made way into the water. You can do this, Dimitri, she mentally cheered, still hoping that he did win their final race.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri felt his heart skip a beat as Kedrick announced the beginning of the race, adrenalin pumping through his system. He plunged his oar deep into the water, pushing forward with more strength than he had in the previous two races. Dimitri was determined that even if he didn't win, he wouldn't be beaten to the post by much. As Dimitri and Arielle's canoe left the dock, Kedrick realized that a change of tactic was necessary. Dimitri was putting all his strength into this last race, and he and Maria would have to work hard just to keep up. "Change of plans!" He said urgently, his voice quiet enough just to be heard by Maria over the splash of the oars. "Full speed ahead or they'll loose us."
Kedrick grinned to himself, the ache in his arms already rearing it's ugly head again. He caught a glimpse of Dimitri's face, seeing it set, and determined, his eyes bright with the excitement of the race. He pushed himself harder, still having it in mind that he was going to give Dimitri a run for his money. He and Maria's canoe had just pulled up almost to touch the back of Arielle and Dimitri's when their two freindsslid past the post.Dimitri's heart surged with excitement as they past the post and he looked back over his shoulder, seeing Maria and Kedrick still a boat length behind them. He stood up, the boat pitching slightly from the movement and he grinned at the two of them. There was something warm, and infectious about Dimitri's smile. It lit up his pale face and made his eye's gleam in the near darkness. He reached up, pushing his hair, still wet from their swim, back out of his face. "Well, that takes care of that!" He said, the unstoppable grin still on his face, he couldn't help himself. Dimitri felt a swell of pride at having done so well in this last race, even still unaware that Maria and Kedrick had planed to take it easy on them and hadn't even needed to. Dimitri looked back down at Arielle. "I'm assuming I owe it to 'lady-luck' over here hmm?" He asked, arching an eyebrow at her, still smiling.

Arielle Shore
Arielle was almost surprised by how much force Dimitri was putting into his rowing. Knowing that if she didn't try and match up with him, all his hard work would have been for nothing. So, knowing that her arms would die later, she applied as much force as she can into her rowing so that she matched the same speed as Dimitri as best as she could.
Maria blinked in surprise when Kedrick mentioned a change of plan. Of course, it was necessary since Dimitri was putting his entire heart into this last race. She nodded and put more pressure in her rowing, not wanting to be too far behind Dimitri and Arielle's canoe.
She didn't know how much time had gone by since they started. The only thing that her mind could focus on was the rowing and the sound of the water. Maria didn't even focus on the darkening sky either. As soon as she saw that their canoe was finally reaching up to Dimitri and Arielle's, a part of her worried if he was actually going to win at all, knowing that it would be unfair for him. However, her worry was proven wrong when Dimitri and Arielle's canoe made it past the post.
Arielle couldn't believe that for the second time that day during their third race that she had been part of the winning circle. If she could really think of it as a circle. She pulled her oar up a bit and found herself smiling in response to Dimitri's victory smile. She was glad that their opening event to the week was finally over. She looked over at Maria and Kedrick, grinning at them before turning her head back when Dimitri talked again and called her lady-luck. She blushed lightly and rubbed her neck. "I really don't think I'm that lucky at all," she admitted shyly.
"Nonsense, Arielle," Maria said with a grin, "All of us are winners because of you, so you're definitely lucky~. Of course, Kedrick has to keep an eye on you or someone will still you away because you're so lucky."

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Kedrick smiled, listening to the goings on between the two canoes. He couldn't help but smile as well at the look of proud accomplishment on Dimitri's face. He tipped his chin up, suddenly attentive, as Maria mentioned someone stealing away Arielle for the sake of her luck. "Hey," He said, grinned teasingly. "Nobody had better whisk my girl off, I'll body guard her 24-7 before I let that happen." He said and then breathed a deep sigh, pleased with the results of the last race, of all the races actually. Dimitri looked up at the sky, seeing it darkening quickly. "I hate to break it to you guys, but it's getting pretty dark up there, we have to get the boats back, wash up and eat because I'm starving!" He said, his voice seeming to carry further in the darkness.Kedrick nodded his head fervently in agreement. "Right, let's go." He said, plunging his oar into the water and working to turn the boat around. He could see Dimitri already beginning to manipulate his boat around as well. The dock looked almost black against the dark blue water, though as they got closer, it slipped out of the shadows and resumed it's normal weathered brown color.
After a few minutes, Kedrick heard the boat scrape along the sandy bottom, and he hopped out, splashing up to his ankles in the murky water. He reached out and grabbed the thick metal ring that was attached to the front of the boat. With a soft grunt, he pulled the boat further onto the shore so that Maria didn't have to get her feet wet when she got out. Dimitri glanced over when he and Arielle's boat came to rest on the sand as well. He watched Kedrick for a second, then mimicked his movements, hopping out and dragging the boat ashore. "There you go," He said looking up at Arielle with a teasing smirk. "Thank you for choosing the Dimitri-Express, be watch your step when dismounting and collect any personal object before you exit the vehicle." He said in his best announcer voice.Kedrick smirked at his friends goofy antics. "Okay, let's get these pulled back to the rental place then we can wash up and eat." He said, jerking a thumb over to the small weathered shack.

Arielle Shore
"Don't you worry about a thing, Kedrick," Arielle said with a soft smile, "I'm positive that no one has any intention of trying to take me away again. I mean, I've got you on my side, a daughter of a police chief, her family, your family, and Dimitri. I'm pretty sure that no one is going to mess with me when I have an army like that on my side."
"She's totally right," Maria said with a grin before Dimitri stated that it was best for the group to head back to shore. Even though she knew it was a good idea, she would love to be rowing out late. Maybe, if Dimitri wasn't against the idea, they could come back when it was getting dark, with a lantern guiding the way so that they could see. The more she thought about it, the more the idea sounded like a cheesy romantic movie. That would be something that Kedrick and Arielle would do, anyway, she thought with a light smile as she helped Kedrick row their canoe back to shore.
Arielle tried to ignore the persistent rumbling in her stomach, clearly knowing that now that her mind wasn't focused on the race, that her stomach would be abusing her with its need to be full. As they got closer to the shore, she was happy to be a few steps closer to eating. She blinked in surprise when she saw that Dimitri was pulling their boat more up shore, but then she saw that it was a follow up to what Kedrick was doing for Maria.
She found herself giggling at Dimitri's announcer voice as she got up and out of the boat. She wasn't sure who was the silliest out of all of them, but she had to give him points for the announcer voice.
Maria thanked Kedrick for pulling the boat up to the shore, even though she actually had no problem walking in the water to get back to the shore. She looked over at Dimitri and Arielle and found herself grinning lightly. At the sound of Kedrick voice, her attention returned to him and she looked to where his thumb was pointing at and back to their canoes.
"Well, we best get a move on," Maria said with a stretch, making a face since her arms were a bit sore, "Not sure how much longer my stomach can take this terrible sinking emptiness inside."
"Same," Arielle said with her own stretch, rubbing at her arm, "So, let's get going."

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Between the four of them, it didn't take long to drag the canoes back to the rental shack. Kedrick exchanged a few brief words with the owner again and then returned to the group, running his fingers through his still damp hair. "Okay, let's get something dry to change into." Dimitri said, and they began walking back up towards the campsite. Dimitri scuffled his bare feet through the pebbly sand as they walked, enjoying the feeling of the tiny smooth rocks rolling over his toes. He hesitated slightly as the reached the path that branched up towards the shower house. "Hang on a sec." He said abruptly, holding up a hand. He looked over at Kedrick, a smirk playing on his lips. "You up for a relay race Kedrick? You girls hang out here for a sec." He asked, eyes gleaming. Kedrick sighed. "More Exercise Dem?" He asked, his shoulders drooping slightly as he looked at his friend, the grin on his face confirming his fears. Dimitri didn't even wait to explain to Kedrick, knowing he would pick up on it. "Go!" He said, starting the fourth race of the night and the two boys sprinted towards the campsite, Kedrick a bit more reluctantly. They bolted towards the campsite, sand spraying in every direction, but the ground gradually became more grassy, the soft turf giving under their feet. The two boys skidded to an abrupt halt in the campsite, both snatching two bags, their own and one of the girls, and turning on their heel, running again.
The boys arrived, panting and out of breath back in front of the girls. Dimitri dropped his own bag on the ground and handed Maria's duffel to her. "H-Here.." He panted, bending over and bracing his weight on his knees, trying to catch his breath.Kedrick swallowed stiffly, his throat raw from breathing in the cool evening air. He knew for a fact her was going to sleep well tonight, after the rowing, and the swimming, and now Dimitri's fit of chivalry in demanding that they get the girl's bags for them, he was fairly worn out. He straightened, having also been bending over to get his breath back. Kedrick wiped his forearm across his forehead. "Okay, let's hit the showers." He said, turning to start up the hill. With a small smile, he caught Arielle's free hand in his own, swinging his bag from his other hand. Dimitri wrapped and arm around Maria's shoulder, smirking at her and glancing in her direction out of the corner of his eye. He was still breathing heavily, and he thought it would feel wonderful to get under a jet of hot water (However weak the water pressure was) And then to get something to eat and sleep.

Arielle Shore
After they had returned the canoes back, they waited patiently for Kedrick to finish talking to the owner before he returned and they headed back to the campsite.
For Arielle, she couldn't wait to change into something warm, dry, and comfortable after being in a swimsuit for the past hour or so. Then to sit in front of a warm campfire and eat with her friends, most likely plotting what to do from then and highlights from the previous races.
Maria was carrying her flip-flops as well as Arielle's since she forgot to give them back to her friend. The walk was a bit quiet until Dimitri started speaking again. She blinked in surprise when he offered a race with Kedrick, thinking that he would've had enough of racing for the day. She wanted to ask why they couldn't join, but she didn't open her mouth, just nodded and waited patiently.
"Dimitri sure is energetic, Maria," Arielle said with a small smile, looking over at her friend.
"Yeah," Maria replied with a smile, "I have the most energetic boyfriend and yours is very calm and relax. And people say opposites attract, but I guess we're an exception, no?"
"Well, in some places, yes," Arielle said after giving it some thought, "But the two of you are still separate in your own way. Probably just not as obvious though."
Before more could be said, the girls heard the boys running back with bags in each of their hands. They were both out of breath and Arielle and Maria looked at each other before giggling lightly at the boys.
Maria took her duffel and ruffled with Dimitri's hair, smiling at him. "Thanks for bringing my bag, Dimitri," she said with a grin, "Just, try not to die on your way over here to deliver my package. It would be rather sorrowful indeed."
Arielle waited for Kedrick to catch his breath, knowing that he was going to take some time. She smiled at him as soon as he stood up. She nodded when he mentioned heading to the showers, even more ready to change. With one hand carrying her bag and the other holding Kedrick's, she walked down the path to the showers, a gentle smile on her face.
Maria blinked in surprise when Dimitri wrapped his arm around her shoulder, but she only looked up at him and smiled. She leaned her head on his arm and took her time walking, following behind Arielle and Kedrick. "You really ought to take it easy next time, Dimitri," Maria said teasingly, even though she still did want him to be careful.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri smiled at her, waving a hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it, I'll be fine." He said, still taking deep breaths. "It's only old people that have to worry about working too hard, Hmmm Kedrick?" He called up to him."Huh?" Kedrick looked over he shoulder at his two friends. "Oh, yeah, trust me, it'll take more that three canoe races and a dead-sprint back to the campsite to get rid of me." He teased back, although in all honesty, his legs and arms still ached and he looked forward to hot food and a bed.
Soon the crested the hill and saw that the path ended in a rectangular, one story building. It was made of rough wood, and two or three windows with frosted glass (So it couldn't be seen though) let out a dull glow of light from inside. Next to the shower house was a water pump where they could get fresh water, a slow trickle ran from the spout to drip on it's concrete base. "Well..." Kedrick said with a small smile. "Let's get showered up, we'll meet you girls back here in a few." He said, nodding once to Arielle and letting go of her hand. He patted Dimitri's shoulder on his way past. "Come on lover boy." He said with a smirk. Dimitri grinned at the old nickname and relinquished his hold on Maria. "See you," He said, and followed Kedrick into the men's side of the restroom.
The inside of the shower house was as practical, and unfancy as the outside. Concrete floors with drains built in and stained white wall made up the inside. There where stall with toilets, and stall for the showers, and one wall was line with four or five sinks. Dimitri wasted no time in disappearing into one of the shower stall and stripping down. He could hear the door to the adjoining stall bang close as Kedrick got ready to shower as well. Dimitri reached out, turning to handle to get the water to start and adjusting it to a decent lukewarm temperature. He stepped under the spluttering shower head. The water pressure wasn't fantastic, but it would certainly do to get the pond scum out of his hair. Kedrick stepped out of his own shower stall a few minutes later, his clothing sticking to his still wet skin as he tried to claw his shirt on over his head. He glanced over, seeing Dimitri emerge, fully dressed, his hair still dripping. Kedrick smiled and snatched a towel out of one of their duffel bags and chucking it at him. "Rub your hair off a bit, the water will get on your shirt, and then you'll freeze." He said goodnaturedly.Dimitri caught the towel full in the face, and he smirked, scrubbing it over his head to take some of the water out of his hair. "Ready?" He asked, looking up at Kedrick from under the towel. Kedrick nodded. "Ready." He responded, and the two boys walked out, waiting by the water pump for the girls.

Arielle Shore
Maria just happened to give Dimitri this look as if to tell him that her not worrying was the last thing that was humanly possible when it came to him. She rolled her eyes, pretending to be annoyed with Dimitri but couldn't help but find herself smiling, showing how the exact opposite was true for her.
As they finally made their way to their destination, Arielle took in the simplistic site of the shower house. It wasn't exactly cozy, but she knew that it could've been a lot worse. All she cared about was how well the water would be, especially because she didn't want her showers to be the thing she dreaded most about her time there.
She let go of Kedrick's hand, nodding in return. She wasn't sure how long it would take any of them to shower up and change. And even after that, she had no idea if they were going to take turns to cook or if one person was cooking mainly for that evening. Plus, they had to figure out what they were in the mood to eat and how much should be made. In the end, she had to stop her thoughts from getting out of control since she knew that she was over thinking everything.
Maria waved a light goodbye to Dimitri and Kedrick as they went into one direction so that they could take their showers. She turned to Arielle and without another word, they were well on their way too getting a bit cleaner than before.
Just like the boys, the girls saw the same thing on their end. Even though, there probably wouldn't bee too much of a difference in the bathrooms except for the toilet facilities. They undressed as soon as they picked out their stalls, set the temperature to what they wanted, and got in, enjoying as much of the warmth that the water had to offer.
"You did remember to bring a brush with you, right Arielle?" Maria asked a couple of minutes after she had finished her shower. After taking her hair out, the normally somewhat wavy hair had resumed it's normal curly pattern. Her hair was only like that when it got really wet and she would have to spend hours trying to brush the curls out. Whatever wasn't brushed out formed the hairstyle she was most famous for.
Arielle blinked a bit, her long hair sticking to her. She didn't have too much time to think that, but she was sure of it. She looked through her bag and pulled out a simple brush before handing it to Maria. "I would've thought you had your own, Maria," Arielle said with a small smile, drying herself off and putting on an over-sized T-shirt, a pair of comfortable sweat capris, and some old socks she didn't mind getting dirty.
"I actually forgot it," Maria said with a light frown, looking through her duffel bag. She could feel the water from her hair dripping onto her still wet shoulders. Knowing that she needed to quickly get dressed or she would make herself sick. She sat down Arielle's brush and dried herself off before throwing on a creme colored long john like top that went up to her elbows, dark grey sweatpants, and a old pair of white socks.
When they were finished, they walked out, Maria brushing her hair with Arielle's brush and complaining in Spanish about how difficult her curls were being that evening. Arielle, on the other hand, had lazily just dried her hair and pulled it back into a bun, knowing there was no point dealing with it. They saw the boys waiting for them at the water pump and waved at them.
"You didn't miss us too much, did you~?" Arielle asked with a teasing grin, giggling lightly as she saw Maria pause from her difficult task of brushing her curls out and rolled her eyes.
