@Neomi: xd I intended to make him wear loafers, but my arm got bumped and in an attempt to make the shoes symmetrical, they turned into Mary Janes. I'm actually okay with that. xd

They are the one shoe Death could ever wear and be proud of.
In the same way that Luck can only wear high heels, Death can only wear Mary-Janes.

She actually can't operate without heels, though.
She doesn't feel balanced without them. If she were forced to wear flats, she'd feel all disoriented and shaky all the time. She learned to fight in heels, after all. Fighting in flats would bother her.
Plus, she needs to be taller than Rydel. She gets upset if she isn't.
