[Moggie : Traverse Town : Second District]
Moggie looked at the strange man with a blank expression. Tears were building in the corners of her eyes. Not just from fear, but as her mind went over his question. What did she want to give up? What could she give up?
If only she didn't have such an uncontrollable temper, she wouldn't be in this situation now...
"I... kupo..." she started to speak closing her eyes as a couple of tears fell, "I don't want to be alone. I want to give up the ability to chase people away...."

Suddenly, the darkness below the two beings began to brighten, and there was a sudden flurry of debris as a strange, ethereal wind twisted around them. There was a distinct light, and as Moggie looked down, she would see a strange mosaic circular platform representing the moogle's heart.
However, the mosaic slowly became corrupted, black tendrils within the glass picture slowly ensnaring the sides and dimming the light. And on the edge of the circular platform, in the circles that would have been filled by some symbol important to Moggie, an eerie symbol took its place.
"Yͥ̇̆͏̡̨̪͙̯ơ̟̦̭̑́́u̡͕̭̝̣̝̟̾̓ͪ̂ͩ͜r̺̠̠̟̲ͮ̀͐͐̉̎́̚ ̳̻̤ͫ͒͌̀ͥ̋h̖͖̮̻̤͙̟̿̽̃̓͠ͅė̡̖̖̬̖̊͠ͅa͖͓̱͓̦̤͔͚͈͑̊͊̏ͮr̶̊̈̅̍ͣ̽́ͯ҉̷̗͎̟̞̥t͕̗͎͚̖͓ͨ̏͘ ͈̞̻́̐ͬͯ̇ͤ̍ḫ̖̟̻̟̹̰̂͛̊̒́͝a̟ͣ͊͆͆ͦ͟ͅs̖͖̖̦̘̖̓ͤ͒͑͐̄ͥ̈ͅ ̣͓̳̙̹̲̱̥̈́͑̍̇̑b̨͖ͧ͌ͬͦͯḙ̰̜̤͚̘̰̆̄̑̂̄̌̑͜͡ẹ̼̣̘̗̠̬ͧͮ̽ͭͮ͛͌̾̕ͅn͕͙̭͇̦̺̖͂͐ͤ́́̔̂̅́͞ ̸̜̯͈̜͔͐̔̒̉͂ͨ̔c̴ͮͫ̓҉̩̠̼o̝̠̭̬͕̖̓͊̍̽ͥn̛͍͊ͯͤͯ̓͂ͦ͢n̉̇͘҉͍̭̹̗̮ͅḛ̙̟͓̻̖͌͒ç͉̫̞͕̦̟͇͈͌̈̐͐̐̈́̚ṫ̢̲̠̦̜̲̙̈́̒̒̀e̡̛̖͙̼̘͍̼̭̎͂̄ͅd̄ͦ҉̘͍͖͖͍͕́.̸̸̡̬͓̥̠̜ͣ̏"
The Darkness and the Light began to clash, colors disappearing entirely as a tornado of black and white enveloped the moogle.
After a few moment, the Moogle would have awoken... slowly hovering down, as if she'd fallen from somewhere. Just below here were two young men by the name of Thales and Baitos.
The enigmatic man was nowhere to be seen.

{Land of Dragons ~ Bamboo Thicket}
Tsurumi could indeed grow to like this man. He seemed to enjoy spreading chaos, just as she did. And what a way to do it. Throw fire into her tornado and immerse everything in flames. But why did he want to end it? She was having so much fun after all. "But we're having so much fun! Why would you want to quit? Such a silly man. Or is it because your mongrel got hurt and you need to heal him? Poor mutt. So weak. Maybe you should just kill him and get a new pet. Or...you could always be MY pet." She said seductively, not yet aware that Shade was a woman. Granted, she might have acted the same way regardless.
Stopping the growth of the tornado, she sent it flying into the bamboo, causing more and more of it to catch on fire. At that point, it would even be visible to Revelin outside of the Thicket. Encircled by fire on all sides, Tsurumi leisurely strolled over to Shade, and attempted to put her hand on Shade's cheek. If she was allowed to do so, she would gently caress her cheek. If not, she would move several feet back and glare at her, ready to attack again if she moved. Granted, she would be ready to attack even if she was allowed to put her hand on her cheek. "So, what will you do? Will you become my pet or will I have to kill you? Since I'm so generous I'll even let you bring your mongrel with you. See, I'm not so bad after all." If she had been allowed to touch her cheek, she would have brought her face closer and closer to Shade's face while she was talking, almost like a lover if not for the sadistic look in her eyes. If not, she would have continued to glare at her while she spoke.

[Shade : Land of Dragons : Bamboo Thicket]
Shade's eyes narrowed down at the woman as she touched her face. Her eyes showed her anger. If it wasn't for Shade's mask over her mouth, the woman would see her mouth moving in a silent frown.
The ninja grabbed onto Tsurumi's wrist after the woman finished her speech. She yanked her arm away from her face and Shade held it there as she glared down at the woman. Her eyes glaring down at the aeromancer, their faces just inches apart.
"Listen here, Witch!" Shade said with a cold snarl, "I refuse to be your 'pet'. You have nothing I desire. So why don't you and your friend," Shade motioned her head in the direction of Revelin, "get out of my sight."
Shade roughly let go of the woman's arm and went over to where Fang still laid. The ninja started to look over the wolf's injured eye. But still kept herself tense if the woman decided she wanted to still fight or bother her.

A witch huh? Not like she'd never been called that before. "Oh, you hurt my feelings. I'm not a witch. Well...maybe I am." She said, as if pondering what she would say. Looking at the fire still burning around them, she was tempted to keep fighting. But the man was starting to bore her. He didn't want to be her pet, a wise choice, and he seemed much to obsessed with the mongrel.
Sighing, she turned to leave when a thought popped into her head. Should she just leave the man alone? He could possibly become an adversary in the future, maybe it was better to kill him now? Or should she just let him go? Maybe it would be best to get Vereor's opinion. Wouldn't want to break the rules after all. She thought, giggling a little. Nope. She never broke the rules.
Touching her hand to the emerald necklace she wore around her neck, she spoke up, loudly enough for Shade to hear. "Oh Vereor~ I need your advice. I'd ask Revelin, but I'm all on my own. If there's someone who could possibly become an adversary in the future, should I leave them alive? I've already asked him if he wanted to be my pet and he said no. He even called me a witch. I'll kill him if you want me to, but honestly, he's rather boring." She put quite a bit of emphasis on the boring part. She wanted Shade to know just what she thought of him after his refusal.

[Moggie : Traverse Town : Second District]
"Kupo..." was all the moogle mumbled in a soft cry as she came back to reality. The images of what had just occurred going through her mind, in slow motion. Moggie felt as if she didn't even have the strength to move. Her senses felt numb from both the fear and the darkness she felt. It didn't help that she still felt the pain and drainage of energy from before when she was caught in that explosion.
Moggie let out a loud whimper as she laid on her side and curled herself into a ball as tears went down her face.

~.~Thales~.~ ”You can bend it and twist it… You can misuse and abuse it… But even the gods cannot change the Truth.” [Traverse Town ~.~ Second District ~.~ District Gates]Before Baitos had an opportunity to respond to his comments, Thales heard a whimper coming from a small white creature just to the side of their two-man group. He turned and walked towards the creature, crouching beside it and observed it. To Thales, the creature just looked like a large rat covered in white fur with bat-like wings, a pink nose, and a pink ball that dangled from its head. He had never seen anything like this before on Olympus. One thing was definitely clear though, this creature was in some sort of pain. Thales reached out and grabbed the creature and cradled it in his arms, repeatedly "shushing" as to not frighten it more; being careful not to hurt it. "Hey little guy," Thales said softly, his voice sounding sympathetic and kind. "Are you alright?"

[Traverse Town :: Second District]
"Right, you guys can go on ahead," Suzu replied, rather distracted. Her purple eyes were still glancing down the way to where Moggie had disappeared. For all her brash talking, the moogle was still somewhat tolerable and it wasn't like she had some ulterior motive by hanging with them... maybe aside from getting off the world. Were gummi ships really that expensive? Well if anything, the moogle could share her room with Kuu, not like she took up a lot of space and she'd probably be too beat to really run her mouth.
"I'm going to see if I can find Moggie, she seemed pretty tired. I don't know if she could handle it if she ran into any more heartless. I'll catch you guys later, or in the morning!" The heiress said as she sprinted away from the group with her twin following close behind her with a rather perplexed look on his face.
"Moggie! Where'd you run off to?"

Moggie opened her eyes, to look up at the figure that looked down at her. She barely make out the person's face through the tears that were in her eyes. But the voice was gentle. She couldn't feel the over whelming darkness as she did before. She felt safe. Even so, the moogle's body shook with the memory of what terror she had just experienced.
"Kupo..." she mumbled, as she shook her head. Moggie was unable to say anymore, but a few whimpers. The moogle rolled her face into the unknown man's chest as she started to sob.

{Queen of the Spanish Main.}
[Traverse Town : Second District Streets] Nomaa watched, noting that Cory looked…tired and uncomfortable. Maybe there was more action going on since they had been separated than she originally thought. It was hard to make light of a situation that could potentially be dangerous, not because she was afraid of what the story might be, but more that it would be hard to hide her disappointment that she had not been there to experience it with the rest of the group. It was easy to look and sound fearless when danger was fun to you. He got closer to her, the raven-haired pirate not moving a muscle. " Lead the way, love," she said with a soft smile, turning to walk with the group back to the hotel. Her eyes drifted down the alley, in the direction that the strange creature she had seen with them when she first approached went. She didn't see it anymore, and for a brief, fleeting moment she thought of asking whether they should go after it or not. However, if Sory didn't seem concerned about it, she wasn't going to make undue work for herself. The sooner they were back at the hotel, the sooner she could start gathering information from Sory and the others. Green eyes flashed back to the group as one of the girls, the one with purple eyes, mentioned that she was going to go after the creature. The Queen of the Spanish Main gave her a nod, almost as if telling her to be careful. She might be considered an official part of the group, but any delays in getting information because they had to rescue each other was going to slow her down, plain and simple. Turning her attention to those remaining, she walked with them back towards the hotel, wondering if she was ever going to get accustomed to a place like this. She had been to more exotic places than she could count, seen things that would shock or even disgust most other people, but this place was by far the strangest port she had ever landed in, and what made it all worse was that she wasn't here by choice. Her countenance, her aura, seemed more somber as she walked along in silence, the only noise coming from her being the heels of her boots against the brick.

[-ɮΔɩʇѻ§-] |♫ Lu~lu~lu~ ♪| [-Traverse Town | Second District | District Gates-]As Thales spoke to him, an unsettling feeling overtook Baitos. Something about their current surroundings wasn't really settling right in his stomach, but maybe it was all in his head. The feeling grew more intense but he didn't really know what exactly he was attempting to feel, or what vibes he was picking up on as their seemed to be a lack of any, even in the air. It was like a void had opened up around them and rendered everything dead silent. He could no longer feel the residents of First District, or the few bodies he was just beginning to pick up on in Second.
"Huh..." Baitos looked up just in time to miss seeing the moogle touch down with the ground, and just like that the void was gone, all life and emotions returning to the atmosphere. What was that... Baitos thought to himself, then shifted his gaze from the sky down to Thales as he heard him moving, then the whimpering reached his ears as his senses cleared up more. He watched for a moment as Thales picked it up and then smiled.
"It's a Moogle...I think. There are a few of them running about this town, but I've never really seen any out of First District." Baitos couldn't really tell them apart as they all kinda-sorta looked the same.
Out of the blue an idea hit him. "Maybe we should turn it into a hat...always wanted to do that..." Baitos wasn't really serious, but it was hard to tell as he had a shine of intent in his eye and he had somehow managed to pull his short sword from it's sheath and was holding it reversed style, blade pointing at the ground as he gripped the handle. He then snickered and let out a faint humorous snort, then began to replace the blade in it's cover. "Just kidding..."

Solaris Sorry......I'll be taking my leave now.
{Traverse Town : Third District: Merlin's House}
Startled, Solaris drew his hand away from Enyb and looked towards Merlin. He wanted him to go with the group??? It was true that he was okay with Nalo for the most part, but he was special. He had something about him. Something that made it okay to be around him. It was a strange feeling.
But what should he do? He didn't know Artemis or Window that well. But, just as Nalo had that something about him that made it alright to be around him, Solaris also found himself not wanting to let him down. He couldn't really explain why. Maybe it was...hmm. He didn't really know why.
"Nalo...would you like me to come with you?" He asked, ending the debate in his head.

Thales said as he stood up and turned towards Baitos, cradling the small moogle in his arms like a infant. He looked wide-eyed at Baitos when he unsheathed his sword, wanting to turn the moogle into a hat, believing he were serious before he said otherwise. Thales signed, then laughed in relief. "I wonder where she came from," he said, thinking out loud as he stared at the sobbing moogle in his arms. "It's okay, little guy," he assured, somewhat bouncing her as one would do with a child. "You're safe now."Thales looked up at Baitos and asked, "She seems pretty frightened. Do you think she came from where you last heard the explosions? Maybe we should go look around there for clues."

{Land of Dragons ~ Bamboo Thicket -> Field near Forbidden City} "I suppose you should leave him alive. An adversary worth killing is an adversary worth corrupting. In time, he may come to side with us, so unless you're absolutely certain there is no hope for him, leave him alive..."
"Though a gift to remember us by might not be too bad of an idea."Nodding her head to Vereor's silent words, she waited until he had finished speaking to address Shade. "Thank you Vereor." She said before she removed her hand from the necklace and turning back to Shade. "Well my pet, you seem to have a lucky streak. My superior says that you're to be allowed to live. Good for you. But he did tell me to leave you a present to remember us by."
Glancing back at the still burning forest, she closed her eyes and concentrated, bringing her hands together, palms facing outwards. Then she ripped them apart and with a popping noise, the fire behind her stopped. It was cut off immediately, and any fire that tried to stray towards it was also ended. She'd created a vacuum and the fire just couldn't survive in the airless pocket. Lowering her hands, the vacuum ended, and air rushed to fill the space. Walking through it before it had caught on fire again, she turned to look back at Shade and Fang. Though she was too far away for either of them to hear, her words carried to them. "We are the Conclave. If you're ever approached by a man in a mask, don't turn him down. Because if you join him, you'll get to see me again my dear pet~" Turning on her heel, she walked back until she arrived in the field, then turned around. Whipping her hands in front of her rapidly, she sent out dozens of wind blades, leaving a clear path for Shade and Fang to follow. If they weren't cut by the blades first.
"Revelin~ I'm done playing now...unless you want to play with me~" She said seductively as she walked back towards the man in question.
