"He's scared...that Naomi might not make it. And let's say your low self-esteem talk didn't help his mood. He's trying to keep the hope that Naomi might live." Tira said.
The elder left the room and told Ren that he could go in and stay in the room. But Naomi was asleep right now and to make sure not to wake her. She then left Ren alone.

"Ren's scared... PFFFT!" HoroHoro smirked and snorted. "Yeah right, Ren's made of stone, nothing could get to him."
Ren nodded and got up, walking over to Naomis room and sighing. He felt ashamed, ashamed that he couldn't keep his promise ' Nothing will happen to you while I'm around' three seconds after that he had let something quite dreadful happen to her. "I'm sorry Naomi..." he mumbled.

"That isn't true, did you not see the fear in his eyes when he saw Naomi get attacked? Would you have not done the same if it where me?" Tira asked.
Naomi slept her breath even. But her hand moved only slightly trying to find Ren's hand.

" I didn't see anything... He was just more bossy and annoying than usual when that thing happened to Naomi... I would've done the same for you! Of course I would!" HoroHoro exclaimed.
Ren looked up from where he was sitting and saw Naomis hand move. He was sat beside her bed. He smiled and reacher out his hand towards her.

Naomi smiled with in her sleep. Once she felt Ren's hand she took a gentle hold of it.

Ren smiled and leaned down to give her a quick kiss on the forehead.

"Yeah..." Tira said. She looked out into the distance for a moment and said "HoroHoro there is something you need to know...The elemental Maidens...200 years ago shared one fate..."
"Mmmm...Ren?" Naomi said as she opened her eyes. Lifting her free hand she gently touched his face. "Thank the spirits that I'm still alive..." She said.

"They all died..." Tira said sadly. "Everyone where murdered, but Naomi's ancestor fought to stay alive, the rest where poisoned or killed in their sleep. Rian, Naomi's ancestor died in battle by a sword wound."
"No it's alright...where are we?" Naomi asked.
