The Angel rolled his eyes. "I'll cook for you, then if you really hate it I suppose I'll COOK your meat: eating it raw is really bad, Mao!"
That said, he turned around without releasing Mao and threw some noodles and rice into the basket. "On to the meat!"

Mao stopped and took the basket from Nathan. "I'll carry it," He told Nathan.

Nathan rolled a hand in the air, figuring it wasn't worth arguing over, then kept them moving. "Which meat do you like? Pork, bacon, ham, black pudding, lamb, chicken...?"

"No duck and no goat and no anything that kept the animal alive," Mao replied, disgusted at the thought of eating a heart, brain, or anything of the sort.

"Ribs..." Mao replied glancing over at some girls who were staring at them. He frowned and pulled away from Nathan. He then put the basket down. "You finish up here while I go get some cigarettes." He then walked towards the front of the store.

Nathan turned, ribs in his hands and saw the girls. Eyes flashing, he picked up the basket and strode swiftly to them, smiling deceivingly.
"Good evening, ladies. Don't supppose you want to tell me what you were staring at, hmm?"

The girls giggled and the youngest in the group blushed. The oldest was the only one acting civilized. "I'm sorry, they weren't doing it in a bad way. They were just looking at that other man you were with. They think he's attractive." The whole time she was picking out canned foods and not really looking at Nathan. The others protested her honesty.

Nathan tilted his head. "Really? Now, I can't stop him if he decides to come to one of you, but at the moment he's dating me."
He leant back against the tins. "And I'm afraid I don't share." He looked at his nails. "I also really hate it when he's stared at for no reason, when he's made uncomfortable." He glared at them. "You understand?"

Nathan smiled at the oldest girl. "So I tell you what: you're responsible for this group. Any one of them stares at him again and I take it out of your hide. Okay?" he asked, winking.

"Two of them are my sisters. I can only control those two," she replied with a smile. "You shouldn't be getting so jealous though. Most men like him like to be jealous, but they don't like it when their partners get that way."

Nathan shook his head. "Nah. Jealousy isn't the issue here. The fact that your friends and sisters are making my man uncomfortable - now that is an issue I intend to deal with right now..."
The Angel's eyes watched her seriously. "They leave him alone, or I will come for you. Alright sweetie?" he drawled, moving away.

"I'm no child and I know what you are and how to deal with your kind. I also know what he is and can easily deal with him too. "If he is insecure then the problem is with him. If he's not ready to get any looks while being with you in public then he shouldn't be with you or with anyone for that matter."
