The Cursed One relaxed a bit, but still found herself moving away. She needed to get away, before things became worse. Rin could never be around anyone for too long without 'it' getting hungry. However, the Cheshire's behavior was startling. She couldn't believe how... Calm, gentle, and emotional he was acting. This was not the Cheshire Cat she heard stories of, the Cheshire Cat she stalked for so long, the Cheshire Cat the King wanted taken care of because of his michevious behavior. Then again, that was the problem, part of the problem, the denizens of Wonderland were slowly changing underneath the weight of chaos, turning into destructive monsters that are only fit to live in darkness.
"I know I am Cheshire..." She said quietly "And that's the part that scares me... But I promise, I'm going to fix it..."
Her shining eyes gazed over to the horizon, noticing the sun starting to set in the distance. Now it was crucial that she leave, the night would only make things worse, especially if Cheshire was around.
"Stay away from me Cheshire... I'll come back for you, but not now." Turning, she started to stumble away, slowly speeding up into a wobbly run as she ran into the forest. Obviously, she was slow, and Cheshire could easily keep up if he so desired.

A piece of Cheshire, the true him, wanted to follow. His emotional lake side was forced to shut up and follow her. Cheshire was determined to figure her out. Soon as he was out of the immediate range of the lake, the sadness, the bone chilling loneliness, it all went away. He was back to normal. He was the Cheshire Cat, pursuing those that interested him. He continued behind her, not caring to make himself quiet. He saw the sun almost at a close. She would see another 'him' soon. He'd long forgone his easy escapes from Death, so rather than 9 lives, he'd seperated them. Different things set off each side. He had 9 total. A main side, a romantic, an assasin, a humane side(The one she'd just seen), A heroic side, A playful side(A remnant from the original version of him. Most cat-like), an insane side, and two that try to manage the 7 inside, never seen. Of the six, non-main sides, different things activated them. From a touching moment, to his deeming that a personaity trait was needed, to a sudden surprise. He was a mystery. Noone fully understood him. He found a joy in that and made sure to keep it that way. He grinned while following her, still at his usual amount of power. "You're not ecscaping me," he toyed with her. His words wanting to show her how trapped in a corner she was. He would catch this mouse.

Rin was obviously tired, worn, exhausted, however, she continued to press forward, attempting to stay ahead of the Cheshire Cat. She couldn't believe he was following her, she had just warned him not to! Her breaths came rapidly, but even she knew, that her pace couldn't do much to help her, nor would she be able to escape him like this.
Bursting into a clearing, Rin took the clearing as a chance to speed up, until her vision suddenly turned blurry. Stopping, she collapsed to the ground once more, holding her head as it pounded and pounded, making the sounds of the forest drown in the sound of her own heartbeat.
As she felt Cheshire approaching, she turned her head towards him, staring at him wide-eyed as if he were a monster. However, it wasn't him she feared. "S-stay away! Get away from me! Now!" she screamed before glancing up to the darkening sky, the moon teasing the borders of the trees. She was obviously in pain again, the markings on her skin twitching as the moonlight started to illuminate the area.

Cheshire laughed. "Why would I do that?" he asked, walking slowly and steadily toward her. "You are intriguing, besides. People only fear the unknown and death. I must know everything to not be afraid. First things first. What is that tattoo?" he asked, seeing it twitch.

Rin was now on all fours, shaking and growling as the markings slowly started to expand. Her claws dug into the ground, her yellow eyes glowing bright as they locked onto Cheshire. "I told you... To stay away!" she roared, her eyes suddenly fading to a darker color until there was nothing left but black. Tensing, she quickly stood up, whipping her body around and leaning forward, as if she would pounce. Her left hand dug into the ground, her right poised and ready to strike with dangerous, sharpened claws that seemed to grow and expand further than normal. As the moonlight filled the area, her markings started to dance around her skin.
"Leave! Now! I can't... I can't stop it!" she yelled, her voice echoing with that of another. It sounded darker, richer, and deadly.
"Or stay... Stay with me Cheshire. I'm sure you'll taste just as lovely as I've always imagined... I've waited so long... The moonlight finally caught the two of us together." the other voice purred, a dangerous grin curling along Rin's lips.

Cheshire felt the strength. The nobility and courage. He stood, chest out, head held high. He was THE Cheshire Cat. The heroic side anyway. Unleashed in the night time. His face was serious with questions. "Who are you? Inhabiting the young and soft maiden's body," he accused her. He wished to have her back, but he feared he wouldn't have her til' morning. Shadows began to twist.

Rin only laughed, her voice echoing with that of the darker force as her screeching laugh echoed through the forest. "Oh Cheshire... Isn't it obvious who I am?" As the markings stretched along her body, her limbs started to jerk and crack, her body slowly starting to mutate. She grew taller, much taller, her limbs small and stretched to the ground. She stood on all fours, like some sort of animal. Rin's ears grew longer, more feral, her clothes on her body tearing off as her body became too contorted for them. Her feet were no longer humanoid, rather, they were more that of a feral cat, large claws extracted and digging into the soft earth, her hands morphing in a similar fashion. Her skin became covered in a dark fur, her lips stretching back across her face to reveal the gaping maw full of sharpened teeth, grinning down at the Cheshire Cat.
"I'm many things, but I'm also one thing, and one thing only, while being made of many things my power stems from one. The essence I feed on is so delicious Cheshire... Yours especially..." As the dark creature continued to speak, all of what was once Rin was gone. A horrible, dark creature stood in her place, appearing to be emaciated as its ribs obviously pushed against the thin layer of flesh around the chest. Spindly limbs hung from its body, supportings its weight as it towered over Cheshire. Its tail was torn and tattered, like that of a rats with tufts of fur dotting the exterior. The creature's fur was blacker than black, shimmering in the moonlight. It appeared weak, but was obviously far from that sort of state.
"Madness... Cheshire... I'm the collection of so many things, but above all, I'm madness... Every creature on this tainted realm has it, and much of it looks a lot like... Me..." It growled, drool dripping from its sickening grin as it started to circle around Cheshire, its footsteps crushing into the ground as its long tail dragged behind it, flicking once in a while, much like a cat's.
A dark chuckle suddenly rang in the air. "And your 'soft maiden' was gracious enough to host me... You see, that's the plan... Put all of me into one place, so that I can be destroyed... But you see, that's the one thing, no one should be doing." The creature stopped behind Cheshire, looming over him as the creature stretched its neck, the vertebre cracking as it stared eye level to him, upside down.
"Once I've consumed this body, no one will have the power to stop me... There is too much darkness left to eat... Especially in you." The creature purred before it disappeared into smoke, reforming a short distance in front of Cheshire, licking at its mangled paw and outstretched claws. "But... She wants to save you for last... It's quite an annoyance." The creature explained, acting as if it were civil and calm. "She knows that once your darkness is consumed, there's no turning back. Once I have devoured your poison, I will be too powerful to be kept locked away like some lesser creature! The sun will not keep me in hiding, and the moon will no longer be my master."
The creature's grin stretched across its face once more, each row of teeth glistening in the moonlight.

((Haha, aww, that's too sweet Idril ^^ Well, I've spent a lot of time on gaia roleplaying, so that helps. But a lot of it comes from a combonation of reading books and taking writing classes in high school blah blah. Mostly though, it comes down to how much information I want in my posts. I never want to write too much, so that people wont read it, but I need to put enough down so that people will get a sense of what I want them to feel. That's the basics of my guidelines I suppose...
For instance, I could have easily said this for my last post:
Rin turns into a dark creature and circles around the Cheshire Cat, grinning at him. It laughs and says "I'm madness, and darkness, I will consume Rin and destroy you all!" The creature laughs and disappears, only to reappear a moment later.
But, that doesn't nearly have as much of an effect, right? By taking time to decide what to detail, you have a more interesting post. I described the transformation, the distortions, and I describe her now darker personality in more detail. This way, you get a better sense of the creature's ferocity, danger, and evil; not to mention scale and appearance. It's always good to use metaphors and general adjectives and adverbs and all the like to spice up your writing. Describe what's going on! But be careful. You don't have to describe everything. Just describe what you think is important, especially the parts that you want to emphasize.
Hehe, feels like I'm a teacher or something... Sit up straight class! No goofing off! *slams a ruler on a nearby desk* muahaha! ))

((Very well played. -Looks in surprise at Idril- I'm cheshire. I can escape death. I won't cry... won't mean to anyway.))
The heroic Cheshire stood firm. The monster swayed him none. He was the stronghold of Cheshire. It was the characteristic most brought out at night. Kindness, Bravery, Chivalery, and almost a full blown hero. "Then know that you'll never get me," he warned. Not yelling or having to grow loud or large like the creature in order to be understood. His fur barely gave way to the wind, sweeping the moonlight across him. His eyes a pure light blue. Almost like the Lake of tears flowed from his eyes. He stared dead into the monsters eyes. A part of Cheshire, the main part, still listened, and his mind was coming up with an idea to be shared later. His nails stayed with in his human shaped hand. "You shall perish without taking Rin with you," he spoke confidently, definatively. He would take this beast down, but not tonight. Shadows began to become the small ghosts of the usual kind. This is where Cheshire took his leave. To run is sometimes the wisest of moves. A true statement for the ages. He was now in his darkness realm. He did this to run, and out of curiousity. He wondered if the monster could come to his realm. That curiousity set his mind in motion. This was his realm. Could he change it? He thought of glowing moonlight, a starry, clear night, one the real realm failed to have. A soft cool breeze swaying the gently blades of grass.
((The realm will change to his thoughts. There is now an eternal expanse of clear night sky in his realm. Accompanied by soft grass.))
((But a curiousity to me is why you would always use small font. Why is that?))

((It saves space and looks nicer ^^))
The creature let out another screeching laugh, the ground trembling lightly underneath Cheshire as the night's shadows started to crawl from the trees. "Oh Cheshire... So ignorant on this entire matter... You don't understand do you?" The creature purred, setting its paw down onto the earth as it adjusted its weight to sit more on its hind legs. It still held its sickening grin, obviously relishing the moment.
"If she doesn't take your poison..." Suddenly, the creature vanished, the land around Cheshire turning grey as the grass started to die, the trees literally falling apart and crumbling into dust. As the lake came into view, it dried up, and finally, the only thing left of Wonderland was a dry, empty desert.
"This land will DIE." The creature growled before letting out another screeching laugh, the land suddenly returning to normal as the illusion faded. However, rather than the creature reappearing, Rin was standing in front of him, the creature's voice still echoing in the air. "So... Cheshire, what will it be? One life?" As this was said, Rin leaned forward, gently caressing his cheek with her hand, a small, genuine smile sitting on her lips. It was like a completely different person.
"Or... Many?" Suddenly, Rin vanished, her body dissolving into sand as all of the denizens of wonderland, past and present, surrounded him. In the forefront, and the most apparent, was Alice. The original Alice. She smiled, much in a smiliar fashion to Rin. Her hands were clasped in front of her dress, blonde locks falling over her shoulders. After a few moments, the creature reappeared, every other figure disappearing into sand except for Alice. The creature purred and laid behind her, curling lightly as its tail lightly brushed past her feet.
"Think about it... Cheshire... Wouldn't you like to give her a place to come back to? A land not poisoned by corrupted madness? You obviously believe you can defeat me... So... Why don't you make up your mind? And don't worry..." The creature purred, its tail suddenly rising and wrapping around Alice, a short scream leaving her lips before the creature crushed her, the figure turning back into sand as silence filled the air once more. "I'm far from being ready... So you have a lot of time to think." With another laugh, the creature vanished into thin air, the last thing to disappear being its large grin.

As his dark realm was turned from beautiful night, to dust. Cheshire again returned it to complete darkness. He heard Alice's scream. He couldn't believe it. His past regret brought back in a vision by this monster. This merely fed his determination to defeat the monster. He would destroy this thing. He would get all that he wished. Suddenly his dark realm filled with them all. His past friends, Mad Hatter, March Hare, the ones he'd held close. Along with Alice and even some of his new friends... Cur-... Rin. He visiond her the closest to him. He would defeat this beast for her. For them. He had a focus. His realm returned to darkness. His main side throwing a little decision in the midst of things. ((This was all in his realm.)) He then did something he rarely did. He reversed the spin of the earth to 'reverse night'. Wonderland was back in day time. He froze it there for the time being. He'd forgotten to turn the time back to normal after his last speed up incedent. He returned to the normal realm, knowing his enemy would be gone for the time being. He was returned to normal as well. He stood next to the monster. His grin was somewhat mischeveious. He needed to loosen himself up a little. "Now, now. We can't have you tired on such a beautiful day," he joked to her. He assumed she'd return to Rin soon.
((Hope you don't mind the control of night and day here. The others haven't posted in awhile. Felt like we were leaving them behind.))

The creature, having disappeared to venture through the night, hadn't gotten far before Cheshire spun the clock back to daylight. It let out a furious roar as the beams of sunlight singed the flesh of the beast, the monster collapsing after just a few moments of sitting in the sun. It's horrible, black eyes stared at the cocky Cheshire Cat as he appeared beside it, a furious growl rumbing the ground beneath them before it spoke.
"As long as I give her control... She has no choice but to gather more power... The sun will not be my master forever!" it roared into the skies before its form started to contort. Bones and joints started to crack and shape, sickening crunches ringing in the air as the spindly limbs started to contort to normal arms and legs, the torso condensing from a stretched skeleton to a humanoid figure. After about a minute, the last of the creature's black fur disappeared, replaced by Rin's fair and pale complexion. Needless to say, she wore nothing, the clothes she had previously worn destroyed by the transformation. She shook quite violently for a few moments, the markings along her skin settling into place and becoming still as she recoiled from the pain of feeling each and every bone in her body reshape itself.
Curled into a ball, Rin appeared unconscious, or at least, she kept her eyes closed. Her ears were flattened against her head, her tail wrapped tightly around her waist.

Cheshire smiled at the young girl. "I just saved you," he set himself up. "I think I deserve a kiss," he joked. He wanted one, secretly badly, but he didn't show it. He was completely kidding at the moment, knowing she was actually in pain.
