  "'The chick from the Teen Titans'? Wow, you're a little slow. Should we just beam you over the head with the ginormous penny over there?" theatrically Jinx motioned with one hand to direct Diamondback's attention to the huge coin. "Or just wallop you with the T-Rex over there?" again the Indian Goth pointed at the dinosaur on display. "Jinx, please take it easy on our guest, I think she just got pulled through the vail from another reality. She could be from the X-Men's reality," the man sporting a black fedora and trenchcoat interjected, "You really might want to stop walking backwards. That's a hell of a drop behind you."

Tanya stopped at Nightshade's words, glancing behind herself to see the sheer drop. She froze, and looked back to the two, then to the giant penny and animatronic carnivore.
This... This isn't possible! Tawny thought to herself before looking to Jinx. "No, I mean... You're supposed to be fiction! Th-they've been making Batman comics since the thirties, and Teen Titans comics since the sixties! And then there's TV shows, and movies... And you were in a Titans cartoon that came out when I was like, four!"
She looked around the Batcave again. "... Holy crap... You're really not lying, are you? I'm... I'm actually in the Batcave, not some... Some film set?" she asked, looking back to them.

Tanya blinked hard.
"Uh... L-like I said, I was chasing a mook in Manhattan... And now I guess I'm... In Gotham," she said warily, looking between the two. She wasn't sure if their lack of reaction to being said they and everything around them wasn't supposed to be real was reassuring or not. She turned to Jinx.
"So... If you're Jinx, then... What're you doing in the Batcave? Aren't you supposed to be a villain? Or... Is this after you did a one-eighty and went straight? And..." she stopped, looking to Nightshade curiously. "I... Have no idea who you are, Mister Nightshade, sir..."

Jinx's eye twitched at something in Diamondback's statement and almost snarled in contempt, "Will you.... stop acting like... everything I do is carved in stone! Ugh!" Nightshade chuckled a bit, "It's alright, Miss. Poor Jinx has had a rough couple of years since the world merge. Over time, several people have been popping in like you just did in this world. And to answer your questions, we are working with the Titans.... and the X-Men -- what's left of them. There's been one member of the JLA around, and I came out of retirement. Why don't we sit down and discuss this further. Coffee or tea?"

Tanya frowned at Jinx's demeanor; she hadn't meant to set the girl off... But perhaps later she could show the goth chick what she was talking about. She looked to Nightshade.
"Uh... Thanks. Um, I guess some tea would be nice, sir," she said to him, readjusting her mask slightly as she did so. "So... You said this was a 'world merge'? What happened to the Justice League and the X-Men? Where are the Avengers? Y'know, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Hawkeye?"
This guy Nightshade had to be a DC character if he didn't know who any of the names she listed were. Only thing was, she didn't recall anything about him, so either he was really new to the comics, or otherwise really obscure.

While sitting down for tea, Nightshade filled Diamondback in on general events in this merged world. Jinx mentioned about the fall of Titans Tower and the deaths of a lot of the team. It was apparent that the Indian sorceress is depressed about her friends missing or dead. Nightshade also talked about IO's war against them, when a woman's voice interrupts their conversation, "Oracle to Nightshade, come in.""I'm here Oracle," the old vigilante answered.
"I'm detecting another person close to you."Jinx chuckled with a slender hand over her face, "You're a little slow tonight, Oracle. We're having tea with her. Say hi to Diamondback from the 'other' universe."There is a momentary pause, before Oracle spoke again, "Hello Diamondback. Nice to meet you, but I'm wondering why we seem to be taking tours in the Batcave."

As Jinx and Nightshade filled Tanya in on as much of these events as they could, Tanya simply listened for most of it, trying to process all the info.
So... There were potentially infinite universes. This in itself wasn't surprising, as she knew enough from cursory looks at the experiments of Reed Richards that interdimensional and pan-universal travel was at least theoretically possible. But this was surprising: Apparently, the 'Marvel' universes and DC universes both had 'primary' realities where the initial majority of beings came from... And then universal 'alternates' began appearing, such as different versions of Batman or Spider-Man, as well as people who had no connection to either multiverse.
So how could Tanya know which reality she came from? Apparently her mother-- or a version of her-- had yet to appear, and these two had not seen her father. Apparently that had happened to a lot of people-- most of the Justice League, X-Men, and Avengers were unaccounted for, and things had been somewhat sporadic for the last few years.
Years... she thought to herself, looking down at the floor of the cave. These people had no idea how to get back to their respective homes, and had apparently stopped trying. They were stuck here, in a chaotic multiversal crossover where time was so completely out of whack that it held little real meaning a lot of the time. People didn't appear to age all that much, as if the 'Merged Multiverse' operated on Comic Book Time, as it was 2015 and none of the heroes or villains got any older, at least physically.
Well... Guess that would save an embarrassing explanation if I ever get home...
In addition to that, this 'International Operations' group had hit the heroes that actually showed up hard... They decimated Titans Tower and partially collapsed Wayne Manor above them and did all sorts of nasty things to mutants and metahumans. But apparently they'd been dealt with, and now these two were just... Trying to keep order in Gotham apparently.
Tanya was pulled from her thoughts by an unfamiliar voice, that of Oracle, coming over the comms of the Batcave. Tanya looked up; ordinarily she might have fangirled over the chance to meet the original Batgirl, but she was still processing everything and so was much calmer than before.
"Uh, hello, Oracle," she said in reply. "Apparently I'm the latest arrival in this... Hodgepodge of superbeings; I wound up in here and Jinx and Nightshade found me. I guess a little bit of info about me is in order: I'm sixteen, I'm brunette with my hair dyed blond, I've been practicing martial arts and gymnastics since I was six, and I've been doing the superhero gig for about three years now, and led my own team-- the Young Avengers. I doubt any of them showed up here too..."

(Enter Crystal from where ever she was. Just coming back from a very long Hiatus.)
The felinoid entered through one of the side entrances on her bike. Her trench coat flipped around behind her till she came to a stop next to the Batcar in it's typical location. She took her helmet off and shook her head, letting her black hair fall from it's place under the helmet.
She looked over towards the small group, her nose twitched a bit as she sniffed the air. "So. Who's the new girl?" She unmounted her bike, placed her helmet on the handle and walked over to the others.
This girl was clad all in black: shirt, pants, boots and coat. She wasn't wearing her mask or gloves at the moment but her cat ears and tail were fully visible as she was someplace she knew she could trust people. Her blue eyes watched the new person for a minute before she smiled at Jinx and Nightshade. "What's up, Shugs? Recruiting more help are we?"

Nightshade looks over his shoulder, "Ah Crystal, so nice for you to join us. How was your ride? Or were you on patrol? you are a bit hard to keep track of at times."Jinx waved at the incoming biker girl, "Hey there. Come here and meet our newest drop in from the ether -- Diamondback. She just arrived in this crazy world we call home."

Tanya frowned in contemplation at Oracle's words, before a new arrival made themselves known: An adult woman who looked human for the most part, but appeared to have cat ears and a tail.
A neko? she thought to herself in surprise, blinking at the new arrival. Clearly she had access to the Batcave, and judging by the reactions of Nightshade and Jinx, she could be trusted.
Tanya held out her black-gloved hand to the new arrival. "Hi," she said, sounding a bit more upbeat than she had been just a few minutes before. As her mind worked to understand the world she was now in and put the pieces together, she recognized that whatever unpleasant feelings she might be having, whatever uneasiness she felt, would need to be set aside. She could reflect on all this later; right now, she needed to be in "hero mode".
"I'm Diamondback. I was just getting the low-down from Jinx, Nightshade, and Oracle. If there's anything I can help with, I'm happy to do so."

Crystal gave Nightshade a small shrug. "Ah. You know. The usual."
She grinned at Diamondback, allowing her sharp canines to show. She took hold of the girl's hand and shook it, squeezing firmly but not hard. "Ah! Nice ta meet ya, shug. I assume Nights and Jinx have been taken really good care of ya since yer drop in?" Her Cajun accent was showing. She felt so much more at ease in the cave than most other places. "I'm Crystal Lasill. Though you can call me Nohboddy when I have the mask on." She flopped down on a table and put her hands on her knees.
"So, what universe do you hail from? Marvel with Gambit? Dark Horse with Hellboy? Ohhh maybe you're from a Manga-Verse? You'd be the first iffin ya are." Crystal was well versed in the multiverse already, having read up on a lot from both the Marvel and DC universes and being such a comic geek already. "I'm DC myself." She thumbed over towards Jinx to show kinship. She really wasn't sure where Nightshade was from. "I'm Doctor Dorian's daughter."

Tanya allowed herself to smile; seeing someone else more at ease helped her ease into her usual friendly demeanor too. She listened attentively as Crystal spoke.
"Well, I guess if you're comfortable with telling me your identity, there's no harm in me doing the same," she said, taking off her domino mask to reveal her whole, pretty face. "I'm Tanya." she continued. "Uh... I know of the X-Men, but I've never really gotten to interact with them much, unless Deadpool's kid counts; he's one of my teammates in the Young Avengers. Me, I was raised around the Avengers and SHIELD."
She thumbed around her utility belt, and pulled out a small USB drive.
"This is a thing that has info on it, like old newsreels about my dad and stuff. And SHIELD files, if you guys wanna see more about my universe. I'm... technically not supposed to have it, but... Eheh, well, what Director Fury doesn't know won't have him toss me off the Helicarrier." she said, giving a grin that said this wasn't the first time she had caused mischief under SHIELD's nose...

Stood up and her cat eyes focus on Tanya's face, "Huh, pretty. Nice to meet you Tanya. .... My actual name is Roshni. You can probably guess, I don't use the name toomuch." Jinx flashed a smile at her guest. "We were going to go investigate something at the wharf, when we found you ...Tanya. Now I'm not saying stay out of the fight, but I do suggest you get your bearings first. I know you listened to everything we told you, but you need to ... live it and feel it to understand this world and how it is. Just pulling on experience here," Nightshade shrugged, then sighed -- holding out a gloved hand and removing his fedora and mask with the other. A tall black man gazed back at Tanya and spoke again, "And I'm Dr. Desmond Powell, originally from Central City."
