Oh, this was. . . a bit strange, but it was all right. Renault held the woman gently, one hand softly rubbing her back as she cried. "It's all right. . . I'm here, Melethia. You can let it all out if you want."

Melethia contuned to cry. Tears are started to form. "My son's gone. He's looking for his father who I haven't seen in 2 months. I'm worried and scared! I don't want to lose them like I have with others!"

"No, no." Renault's response was almost immediate this time. "That won't happen." He paused for a moment, deciding whether or not to say it, then decided that yes, Melethia had a right to know. "I. . . spoke to Soren before he left. He said that he was simply going away for a while to 'clear his head', and he promised me that he would be back. So. . . don't worry too much." The man gave her a kind smile. "As for Isamu. . . I doubt he'll come to much harm in this world. Everything dangerous seems to gravitate here, doesn't it? And if it comes down to it, I will help you find them personally."

"I still worry." Melethia said. "It's what a mother does. they worry about their children." She said, "And people worry about thier loved ones when they aren't around. Hope Isamu can make good use of his new axe."

"I. . . wouldn't really know." The bishop looked off into the sky, seeming to phase out for a moment. "I had a normal life a long time ago; but I was a mercenary. Not much time for anything other than fighting. And then, I basically died. . . and was reborn as this. Then I spent a few centuries killing innocents for Nergal. That. . . wasn't very cunductive for a love life." He shook his head, then realized that Melethia was still there and gave her a weak smile. "A-anyway. . . I suppose I can understand, though. You have people you care about and you don't want anything to happen to them, right?"

"I'm sure," the bishop replied with a bit of a dark grin. "But I'm sure you didn't have four hundred and fifty years straight of them. And I doubt that your sleep is plagued by nightmares every night of the ones you killed coming back to accuse you." But his mouth clamped shut, and he turned away, apparently heading back in. "No, never mind. You needn't heed me, I shouldn't force my own problems on others."
((*smiles* Sorry, dearie, but I can't give it up.))

"Four hundred fifty years eh?" She said following him. "That's about half my age. Did you have someone who seemed to be the root of all evil controling you." She closed her eyes. "That man keeps coming back in my mind. DAMN HIM!" She roared a bit as she punched a hole in a wall.

"Well, at the time, yes, I did." Renault watched this display of violence calmly, as if it was something he saw every day. Of course, he was much more used to something like that than the outpour of emotions he'd just witnessed. "Of course, you are a dragon, aren't you? I may be long-lived, but I am still a human. I'm not supposed to be nearly this old." He turned to her with a bit of an interested expression. "So who would you be talking about, may I ask?"

(yeah in her world it is sure wasn't fire emblemy.)
