I'm off to the oral surgeon. I'm a bit nervous about it. I'll explain when I get home from this consultation as I'm not sure how to explain what it is until I talk to him.

Ok, I can't spell the term he used but I have a rather large growth on the inside of my lower lip and all I do is bite it. It makes it hard to talk sometimes. Well, my dentist referred me to this oral surgeon at my last cleaning before Christmas and I have been putting it off until a couple weeks ago when I bit down on it so hard I made it bleed. So I said enough was enough and went for my consultation today. I get it removed on March 1. I'm not looking forward to having a needle put in my lip to numb it but it will be nice to be back to normal again.

Wow, best of luck to you! I'd definitely want it removed too, and hate biting my lip and making it bleed, or having other mouth sores/problems that make eating/talking hard! Two weeks to wait then. Not too bad. (I had to wait almost 3 months with my severely ruptured disc before I got back surgery.)

That's not the first time I have heard that kind of wait for back surgery. It seems like that type of surgery has the longest wait.

hope that goes well for you Roo, i too would be constantly chewing at something inside my lip so i know exactly how you must be feeling, i had a huge ulcer on the side of my tongue before christmas and it was pure misery, every time i tried to eat i'd bite it crying
