Miguel backed up a few steps, not in retreat or fear, just in a tactical sense. he lowered himself so his normal feet touched the ground, but he kept the spider-bone legs. his arms swayed slightly, so he would be more ready to attack/defend. he, as an expert killer, knew not to attack while an enemy did what Carron did. he waited.

in one fluid motion, Miguel lifted himself back to his normal position, and slid/spun, out of the way of the ax. he steadied himself again, holding his swords, waiting for the inevitable attack. his lower, energy arms, held their swords in front of Miguels body, in an x shape, while the other two were in an attack position. "you missed..."
