Within a few minutes, Marius and Adele returned. "Rue," Marius said. "I can take the seal off but I'm not sure what will happen to her. Not death, certainly, but...will you be alright?"
Adele sat on the ground, her eyes closed, waiting.

"She'll probably pass out," Marius said. "No blood, but I'm not sure how much pain she'll be in. I've never really done anything like this with someone that has a summon..."

Adele nodded to Marius, who knelt by her. She closed her eyes.
Marius put his hand on her cheek and began murmuring the spell that would remove the marking.
Adele passed out instantly. Marius caught her as she fell backwards, and just when he was stepping back as he'd finished, her magic exploded violently from inside her. It was like a purple flame covering the entire camp.

Rue felt the surge of magic before it even appeared. He fell to his knees and panted.

Marius cursed. He slapped Adele hard to wake her up.
Adele's eyes opened, and they were pure black. Rue should have been able to sense their bond weakening as it was almost like someone else took over Adele. Adele reached up and locked her hand around Marius's throat. "I'll have the rest of my soul now, 'brother,'" she said.

Adele seemed pretty weak so she was easy to get away from Marius.
Rolf sprang to his feet. "This is what happened...that day," he said. "Untie me, I can stop her!" he cried.
Adele heard Rolf and reached for him, but not maliciously.

With no other option, Rue reached over and snipped the rope with one of his claws.

Rolf knelt by Adele. He petted her hair, murmuring softly to her. "Get Marius away from her," he told Rue.
Adele seemed to calm down. The magic disappeared, but her eyes were still solid black.

"Don't you dare hurt her," Rue threatened and tried to push Marius away from the two.

((That's okay. I ended up going to sleep early again...I'm probably coming down with something...))
Marius was easily pulled away from them.
Rolf didn't seem to hear Rue. He tried to calm Adele down. After what seemed like forever, Adele had calmed down and her eyes were back to their normal hazel. Rolf motioned for Rue to come over, but not Marius just yet. "I doubt she'll go crazy with you here, Rue," he said.
"...Rolf?" Adele asked weakly. "Where am I?"
