Kei stood up and tried to focus the image all around him. It was still blurry but the same as before; it was actually better. He tried standing straight but his body ached and pain was still there. His body is slightly swaying from the pain but he endured it.

The man was now clearer from earlier. He was a short and rather slim guy about 5'7". He wore an unusual top but his bottom is a common Shinigami hakama pants which made Kei wonder on what he truly is. He looked at his side and saw that he has a small pack bearing the insignia of the Fourth Division albeit being old than his.

He gazed at the man quietly. It was their first meeting and he behaves rather odd. He seem not a Shinigami but not an enemy either; he must be a... Vizard. Supressing himself from making a shocked expression, he gave the man a short smile. He thought it would be rather rude if he ignored him after he saved his life.

He nodded at the man, responding to his statement earlier. "Yes, I may be able to walk and please, do not mind me. Thank you for responding to my wounds earlier; I owe you my life." Kei said. "Uh... a rendezvous point? Sorry to ask, but who are you really?"

"Oh, okay then. We're heading to he park to meet up with the other Shinigami on this operation. Even if you don' know where that is, any reiatsu sense should guide you to them. As to who I am... Well, it seems like you figured it out already~" Jan volunteered no more information as he led the way out of the downtown area and towards the park, where the 3rd obelisk had been planted.

Kei took a deep breath as the man head down towards Karakura Park. He is a Vizard. The man was a former Shinigami with a mixed powers of a Hollow! How could he be possibly be following him? But, the same man saved his life. When he was bleeding all over several minutes ago, that Vizard that he seemed so scared about saved him! But who was he?

Kei nodded and immediately followed the anonymous Vizard towards the park. Although he wanted ask hundreds of questions starting from how did he become a Vizard to why did he save him, he restrained himself and kept quiet. The man was obviously strong and he would not have second thoughts in punishing him for his insolence.

His wounds pricked from time to time but he did manage to come by. And he walked as he was behind the man towards the park.

Mashiro Morimoto 4th-Seat

PostPosted: Sat Jan 16, 2010 5:25 pm

[Enters from Seireitei]

It was a quiet night in Karakura Town. Very few where about this night, and to the luck of Mashiro, no danger near him as he walked through the Senkaimon. His hell butterfly flew just above his left shoulder and soon went back through the gate once Mashiro was safely in the World of the Living.

This was the second trip to the World of the Living, for Mashiro. In fact he had not been here since the Seireitei was taken over by Aizen long ago. So it was a real treat to have gotten a mission to meet up with the other gathering Shinigami.

As Mashiro walked, not really in a hurry to go report in as a seated officer should, he suppresed his Reistsu in case any enemies where nearby. His red cape, which came down to his knees, was staitionary and only moved when the Blond Shinigami repositioned himself. It was easy to see that there was no imediate danger about him, but just in case he would go to a defensive side stance every now and then.

Soon the Shinigami came past a row of light polls. It was nothing special, since several flickered on and off due to the lights bulbs. But something was interesting enough to make Mashiro walk through them. At the end of a row was a figure that looked human, but if it was Mashiro could not tell yet. It did not take the Blond Shinigami long to see the chain hanging from the soul's chest. " A Whole...."

Soujirou walked through the more active part of Kurakara, in is human form. His substitute shinigami badge dangled loosely from his pants. Torakun sat on his shoulder. "There's nothing to do, you know." Soujirou said to the doll. "Which means this is the perfect time to get some training in. You never know when those knights are going to attack again, or when we'll encounter those arrancar." Torakun said, half scolding, half explaining. "Oh. That's what they're called? Arrancar?" He asked. "That's some helpful information. Thanks." He smiled, and they continued to walk through the busy streets.

"About the training. What am I supposed to do? I basically ran away from home, remember? I can't just go back and ask my grandpa to train me to fight the monsters he told me about in his stories." Soujirou frowned. "I don't know what I'm supposed to train, either. And how can I help? I'm just a lowly substitute, remember? That feminine dude told me that." He shook his head from side to side, trying to figure something; anything out.

"Well let's go get ice cream. I need something to help me clear my head. Besides, I'm hungry. Remember?" Soujirou said to his stuffed animal. "You wouldn't happen to have a coin pouch in there, would you?" He asked playfully. "Well, I have some money. Just not in a coin pouch. Here." Torakun pulled out a few dollars from his pockets and handed it to Soujirou. "Buy some actual food, though. You're not going to be able to do anything while having just ice cream as food. What about ramen? There was a vending machine a block or two behind us."

"Alright. Sounds good." Soujirou turned around and walked toward the vending machine. "You know, I wish I had never gotten dragged into this. But," He paused. "The feeling of becoming a shinigami and trying to do something meaningful is...great." He sighed once, and then walked silently.

Once he arrived at the machine, he inserted some money and bought some instant cup ramen. He also bought some water from the vending machine right next to it. He then walked over to a bench and started eating slowly, so he had time to think and to "digest" everything that's happened so far.

Soujirou finished the last of his ramen, and took a sip of his water. He grabbed Torakun and put him on his left shoulder. Then he got up and threw the bowl of ramen away. "Well, now what?" He asked himself as he put the water bottle in his pocket. "Should I train or...." He mumbled to himself as he started to walk. "Yes, yes you should. There's a ceasefire. There's bound to be another battle. What you really need to do is train." Torakun explained. Soujirou just frowned and walked in silence.

"Okay, fine. You're right. But how am I going to train?" Soujirou asked. "....True. You don't have a teacher. And it's not like we can just call someone up. Or...can we?" Torakun started to ponder. "Wait, what? There's no way anyone would help me train to fight against monsters and knights. Unless those people were going to train me. And I'd probably be killed the second I tried to ask." Torakun started laughing as he heard Soujirou's statement. "We can try and get another shinigami to train you. Or someone on Earth. Trust me, not every shinigami is a jerk."

"Alright then. Let's go try and find someone that'll train me." Soujirou smiled and began to walk toward the center of town. "If we're going to find ANYTHING, then I guess we should start at the busiest place in the town. It's going to be nearly impossible to find someone, so we might as well go somewhere that's loaded with people." With that in mind, he continued on his way.

(Enter, Alder, from Squad Thirteen.)

Alder, who was quite conveniently in the right place at the right time, entered the area Soujiro was in rather quickly. He'd gotten a bit bored of being in the Soul Society, so he decided to travel to the human world for a bit.

Along the way, he noticed an abnormally high spiritual pressure in the area. Being a member of Squad Thirteen, his first impulse was to find the source of this reiatsu, and quickly. He weaved through the town with relative ease until he found Soujiro.

"Well....I didn't think I'd see any other empowered individuals here." Alder said with a chuckle. His odd reference to those with Shinigami powers may have went unnoticed, but he didn't pay much mind to it as he continued. "Might I ask what you're doing out here?"

And there it was. Just what Soujirou needed. Someone to talk to, and to possibly train with. "Well I've been trying to find someone else that was, 'empowered'." He said, playing along. "There's been nothing to do, and my stuffed animal here says that I should get some training in before those knight things decide to attack again." He pointed up to his shoulder, and Torakun waved at the other person.

"I'm Soujirou, and he's named Torakun." Soujirou pointed up to his shoulder one more time, just to emphasize that he was talking about the stuffed animal on his shoulder, not some other weird thing. "What's your name?" He asked politely. "Well isn't this lucky? Instead of you finding a shinigami, a shinigami found you!" Torakun said in an amused manner. "Pleasure to meet you." Both Soujirou and Torakun smiled awkwardly, for they weren't good with introducttions.

"My name is Alder, the Eight Seat of Squad Thirteen." Alder said with a friendly grin on his face. His naturally relaxed and laid back manner made it easy for him to talk to people he hadn't met before. "You said you want training.....have you attained Shikai?" Alder asked, his eyes flashing with excitement at the thought of teaching Shikai.

However, he himself had just learned Shikai, so he was unsure if he could hold off Soujirou without using his own Shikai in an attempt to knock him into his subconscious.

(I'll PM Evil asking if I can teach you Shikai if you haven't learned it yet.)

"...Shikai...." Soujirou suddenly spaced out. He appeared in a snowy field. There was nothing in the field, except for a pure white wolf in the middle. "Awooooo!" The wolf howled once, then ran off. Soujirou quickly started to chase after it, as if on instinct. The wolf kept getting further and further away and he kept trying to keep up with it. "Come. Embrace the tears of the dead...

"Hey Soujirou, are you okay?" Torakun yelled into his ear. Soujirou quickly snapped back into reality. "Uh...what? Shikai? Sounds great. I don't know if I'm capable of doing such a thing though..." He said.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 10, 2010 6:03 pm

"I take it you haven't learned Shikai then." Alder said, as more of a statement than a question. "Now...I'd like to fight you a little bit. You can use kidou if you want, but I just want to test your skill." Alder said, as he slowly drew his rapier.

Alder stood with his rapier pointing diagonally at the ground. He didn't really have a stance, he just waited for the enemy to attack, then moved.

((I'm guessing that's a yes or a maybe?))

Soujirou smiled. "Ah, Kidou. If only I knew something like that. Hey Torakun, I'm not going to use you this time. So just drag my body somewhere safe." He ripped his substitute shinigami badge off of his belt loop, and smacked himself with it. Suddenly, his body dropped to the floor, and his shinigami self stood with his left hand on his hilt. He grabbed the hilt with his right hand, too and pulled out his katana. "I'll move first, then."

He strided forward. He didn't run, for he knew better than to run toward sharp objects. Once he was about two feet away, he swung his blade sideways. A simple move, but effective for determining how good his opponent's reactiveg time was.

Alder's rapier moved quickly and fluidly. It always had. Swordplay was Alder's greatest advantage. As soon as Alder had blocked the swipe from Soujirou's katana, he twisted his rapier around, and aimed a slice at the middle of Soujirou's left arm, not moving with the exception of his arm.

"Testing my agility will not help you here, Soujirou. I recognize that slice." Alder said with a chuckle. It felt good to be the trainer for once. "And I've recently remembered....there is a law in Soul Society that states that no persons under third seat in rank may teach any shinigami Shikai. I'm sorry, but I would be breaking laws by teaching you Shikai."

"I am totally fine with that. I just need something to do." Soujirou smirked as he staggered backward. He quickly recovered though, and swung his right arm across his body. Managing to just barely block the rapier. He jumped backward to put some space in between him and his opponent. "You're movements are very precise and fluid." He observed. "So I'm sorry that I may not be much of a fight. If you still want to, that is." He went into a battle stance, so that he could think of an attack while not leaving his guard down.

"Okay..." Soujirou nodded his head once and dashed forward. He held his sword in one hand. His right, to be exact. So that he could make quick, concise movements. Once he got close enough, he started to unleash a flurry of downward and diagonal strikes. They weren't very strong strikes, which Soujirou wanted. He swung so much and so weakly so that each strike would put stress on his opponent's arm. If he chose to block, anyways. Also, if he swung weakly, he wouldn't severely injure his opponent if the sword touched.

((Just remembered? xD Ah well. I'll get it soon enough.))
