They arrived at the Pokemon Center quite promptly, and inadvertently Kasiya found herself looking around for Keegan and Mike, wondering if the two boys had finished their battle yet. She was a tad disappointed to find that they weren't there, and she let Haruka go up to the front desk first to heal her Umbreon, Beedrill and Arcanine. Kasiya, meanwhile, took a tray from the pile and walked over to one of the chairs and sat down, placing the egg gently wedged between the cushions behind her. She watched it for a moment, hoping that the scalding egg wouldn't be hot enough to actually burn the fabrics and after she was certain it wouldn't, she took Ada's Pokeball and set it in one of the slots before turning to Levi. "Well, I know you weren't hurt too badly but I think a checkup is still a good idea," she told the Marshtomp, scooping her up into her arms and hugging her. "It doesn't matter what anyone says or thinks," she whispered to the Pokemon. "All that matters is what I think, and I think that you are amazing." Levi made a sort of squeaking noise and clung to her trainer, burying her face in the girl's stomach. Kasiya giggled and kissed the top of her head before recalling her into her Pokeball and setting it on the tray for treatment.
Shocker was perched on the arm of her chair, still gazing intently at the egg. Her ears would twitch with excitement whenever the egg wriggled, and it was only after Levi was recalled that she looked up at her trainer. "You should get healed too," Kasiya told the Raichu, who scoffed and folded her arms in reply. "Oh is that so?" the girl chuckled, reaching out and prodding the mouse's stomach with a finger. Shocker winced and glanced down at the bruise that had formed on her belly, and she scratched her head sheepishly before jumping into her trainer's arms for some well-deserved cuddles. "Speaking of amazing," Kasiya mumbled, nuzzling the Raichu's head with her chin. "You know you're amazing, right?" she asked, her voice slightly muffled by the Raichu's soft, fuzzy body.
"Rai chuuu!" Shocker replied, sparking happily. Both trainer and Pokemon didn't notice Haruka coming back towards them until she sat down and crossed one leg over the other. Kasiya stood up, still holding onto Shocker and picked up the tray before carrying it over to the desk, under the impression Haruka would keep an eye on the egg for her. Haruka did just that, touching it gently at first to get used to its heat before she rest her hand on it. Kasiya sat Shocker on the counter and politely asked the nurse to heal her Pokemon. When the pink-haired nurse had taken her three Pokemon for treatment, Kasiya wandered back over to Haruka and plopped down beside her, leaning back and closing her eyes. The day was only half done and she was already exhausted.
=-=-=-=-= "It's actually quite simple," Mai replied quickly, lightly tapping her fingers against the sides of her arms. This wasn't the easiest thing for her to admit but at this point she had no other choice. She could either just bite the bullet or she could risk exposing the team's operation, then she'd have to face Giovanni's wrath. "Like I previously stated, it would be of dire consequence if I were to switch places with Kasiya within the next twenty-four hours or so. You are the only person in this entire syndicate who knows me well enough to be able to spot the change. If the switch happens, you must subdue me - my sister - so that she won't ruin everything."
"Subdue her?" Leo questioned, scratching his chin. "Just how would one do that without harming you?" He wore a concerned look, not exactly wanting to cause harm to Mai, but she was the type to follow through with something regardless of what would happen to her.
"I'm not asking you to do anything drastic," she told him, shaking her head. "As physically fit as I am, you are stronger than I, Leo. It wouldn't take much for you to overpower her. All you need to do is just keep her at a distance from everything."
"I see," he nodded, closing his eyes. "But if I may, it seems like swapping places with your sister during the operation might actually be a good thing. You'd be working on the inside so you'd know exactly what was going on with those kids at all times."
Mai smiled at this, and nodded. "You are correct, Leo," she said. "Not only would we have an insider's view of the kids and all their plans, but imagine the shock and hurt she'd cause all her friends if suddenly sweet and innocent little Kasiya started working alongside Team Rocket."
=-=-=-=-= "Finally," Flannery muttered, still trying to return her hair to its normally, bouncy style, but Lavaridge's natural humidity and heat were working against her. She gave up trying to fix it then and leaned back on the fence, glancing at the two boys. "You both were great," she said, smiling. "So what are we going to do now?" She figured that they'd either want to head to the Pokemon Center for some quick healing before lunch or vice versa, but either way she wanted to get back to her gym and get some training in. The rumbling in her stomach couldn't be ignored though, and she was also wondering where Kasiya got to.

"...Stupid snake," the redhead muttered, shooting a glare at Loki, who was nearly doubled over from laughing. However, the Arbok recovered and slithered over to his trainer, resting his head on Keegan's shoulder while trying to look innocent. Keegan chuckled and patted the Arbok on he head before recalling him into his Pokeball and got to his feet, brushing the dust from his pantlegs. "Thanks, Mike," he said with a nod. "I gotta hand it to you, man. You're pretty good at this trainer stuff," he chuckled, reaching out to shake Mike's hand. While one might think it were just a simple handshake, it gave Keegan the feeling that things were finally at rest. He sighed and stretched a bit before looking to Portabello. "Don't worry about Loki, Portabello. He always has been a bit of a sore loser. But give him time, he's nowhere near his full potential yet." He was quiet then, apparently reflecting back on the battle. Despite having lost he didn't feel sad at all, as noted by the small smile he currently wore. If anything he felt inspired now, and he made a silent promise to himself and his Pokemon that the next time they faced one of their friends in battle, the outcome would be different.
He snapped back to the present then, looking over to Flannery as she spoke. "I'm guessing there's still a bit of time before lunch if we want to run to the Pokemon Center," he said, checking his watch. "But it doesn't matter to me much." Out of the corner of his eye, he could have sworn he saw a flash of lightning coming from the direction of the Poke Mart, and he raised an eyebrow. Had Kasiya gone and gotten herself into a battle? It wasn't unlike her to stumble into trouble like that. He glanced over his shoulder at his house while fumbling with Artemis' Pokeball, mind wandering. For a moment he considered sending the Swellow out to scout around for their AWOL friend but decided against it. ===== Miharu let out a relieved sigh when she saw her Pinsir jump to her feet and let out a mighty roar. They were back in business! She raised an arm and pointed at the Stantler, knowing it could easily put one of her Pokemon back to sleep again. "Thundershock and Seismic Toss, go!"
Still quite angry from being forced to take a nap, Petunia let out another roar and charged at the Stantler, her claws tearing into the ground to give her traction. She grabbed a hold of the large, antlered Pokemon and hoisted it high in the air with a show of power before she slammed it back down onto the ground. No sooner had the Pinsir thrown her target when a blast of bluish electricity flared out from the Flaaffy's body and struck the downed Stantler. It somehow found the energy to stand up again, but a wave of static coursed over it, rendering it unable to move for the time being.
"Stantler, no!" the boy cried, looking towards his relatively-unharmed Venonat. "Confusion, Venonat! Go!" he shouted, pointing at Sparkle. The insect's eyes shimmered with a blue aura before the electric sheep was lifted from the ground and thrown backwards as though she weighed nothing. The Flaaffy got back to her feet and let out a growl, but it was easy to tell that she was getting pretty tired.

"Actually," Flannery said then, having managed to not laugh at the Arbok's silly antics as she reached around into the small bag she'd been carrying with her, "I've got some healing items here. They should be enough to cover your Pokemon," she said with a smile, not really sure what she was more impressed with - Keegan's graceful acceptance of defeat or Mike's humble attitude towards his victory. It must be Portabello's influence, she thought with a small giggle, although she didn't know what to attribute to Keegan's sudden attitude change to. Then again, he was acting more like the Keegan she and Mike used to know when they were kids, and it was somehow comforting to know that the boy they'd grown up with still existed. It was also a good feeling, knowing that both of these boys had won her gym badge and both were fully deserving of it. Being the eldest of the three she had to admit that she was quite proud of them.

Ryka and Jaeshan made their way down to Slateport for the remainder of the day. They navigated through the Rusturf Tunnel. Walk, stop, eat, walk. By the end of the day, they had made it to the outskirts of Slateport City.
"Finally!" Ryka exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air. The cool night breeze gave her arms goosebumps. She tried to stifle a yawn -- what time was it exactly? The darkened sky seemed so serene, so gentle. In the background, the lapping of waves could be heard. Even some quiet chatter could be heard from deeper in the city, but that was to be expected. Ryka quietly wondered if any of her friends were here right now.

"Well, Helios did take some pretty hard hits there, and it would probably be best to have him checked out at the Pokemon Center," Keegan murmured, more to himself than anyone else. In actuality he was a little more worried about the Vulpix's spirit more than his physical wounds. Felsic was just too tough an opponent for him at this time, and the redhead sighed. "But yeah. I think I'm gonna head off to the Pokemon Center, just to be sure." That, and it wouldn't hurt to look around for Kasiya, either. He waved at Flannery and Mike, letting them know he'd be back shortly before turning and heading towards the Pokemon Center, eyes peeled for the sight of the blonde girl from Kanto. Truth be told he was a little annoyed that she'd ran off before the battle had really kicked off, and he couldn't help but wonder if she'd chosen not to watch it because she already knew the outcome. He frowned at that thought as he walked, but shook it from his mind. Nah. Kasiya wasn't like that; if anything she would have been right there encouraging him to become stronger and offering help and advice. It seemed the girl didn't have a mean bone in her body.
Another bright flash of lightning caught Keegan's attention and he turned his gaze skyward, now sure it had come from somewhere near the Pokemart. He picked up his pace, not at all bothered by the humidity in the air, even though he still wore that heavy long-coat. Lavaridge wasn't an overly large town but it still took a bit of time to get from place to place. By the time he reached the mart it appeared as though a battle had happened there, as a blob of what looked like sludge had splattered on the ground nearby, making for a suspiciously-Larvitar shaped image on the ground. The redhead chuckled before looking around, but the Pokemart caught his eye first. Keegan thought a moment before going inside, knowing exactly what he was looking for.
He still didn't have that much money to his name but he quickly went to the TM section and chose a sandy, brown disc. He'd wanted to buy this one a while ago but his funds had been low. With that he carried his lone purchase to the counter and paid for it, finding he had next to no cash left on him now. He left the store, releasing Loki as he walked, now heading towards the Pokemon Center. He grabbed Loki's Pokeball and threw it, not surprised to see the giant Cobra flinch a little as he looked around. Upon realizing there was no enemy for him to fight, the Arbok slithered towards his trainer, an apologetic look on his face. "It's all right, Loki," Keegan smiled. "Don't worry about it. Mike and his Pokemon are a ways ahead of us, but we're going to change that, starting now." He showed the brown disc to Loki, who nodded and came forward, lowering his head. Keegan pressed the circular object to the Arbok's head and it glowed brightly for a moment before losing its shine and colour as well. Keegan looked around for a garbage can but he could see Loki eying it hungrily. Keegan shrugged and tossed the used-disc up in the air, watching as it hovered helplessly in mid-air for a moment before it was snapped in two by Loki's powerful jaws and promptly devoured. "Who needs a trash can with you around?" the redhead smirked as he recalled Loki and headed towards the Pokemon Center. As he stepped inside, he frowned from the cool-blast of controlled-climate air and looked around. Sure enough, he saw Kasiya speaking to the nurse and then walk back over to a couch and flop down. He wore a sort of lopsided smirk as he strolled casually to the counter to await treatment, wondering how long it would take the somewhat-oblivious girl to notice him. ===== Miharu smiled as the Stantler faltered, knowing that now would be her chance to take it out. She looked towards Sparkle, and nodded. "One more Thundershock should do it!" she called out to the Flaaffy, who nodded slowly and took a deep breath before letting the electricity fly. It coiled around the Stantler with ease before making its way into the ground, and the antlered Pokemon toppled. Sparkle let out a cheerful bleat and hopped up and down excitedly before turning to Miharu for praise.
"Oh no Sparkle, behind you!" Miharu cried, just in time to watch the poor sheep get tackled from behind by the Venonat. The hit was a solid one and the poor Flaaffy landed face-first on the ground, her tail glowing weakly as she succumbed to fatigue. The green-haired girl sighed before recalling the fainted sheep into her Pokeball. "Looks like it's up to you, Petunia," the girl said, nodding at her Pinsir. Petunia didn't seem to mind as she snapped her pincers loudly as though to let the smaller bug know she wasn't backing down. The Venonat didn't seem too phased by the fact that it now faced a much larger bug, and it stood there, looking up at Petunia with what one might think was curiosity. "Bind it!" Miharu shouted then, and without hesitation Petunia tromped forward, lowering her head as she prepared to ensnare the insect in her pincers.
"Dodge it, Venonat!" the boy called, apparently having forgotten that his Pokemon had been afflicted by paralysis. This time, however, the bug was able to move quite freely, and it watched the Pinsir carefully, waiting until the last possible moment to dodge. It deftly hopped up and over Petunia's snapping pincers, using her back as a spring board to put some distance between the two. Miharu raised an eyebrow at this, but smiled. The Venonat was pretty clever.

Haruka had looked up when someone else entered the Pokemon Center, and she studied the redhead carefully. He seemed to watch Kasiya for a moment before heading towards the front desk and she frowned. She looked back at the egg for a moment as it wiggled a bit and she smiled. Sure, Kasiya seemed like a bit of a flake but she treated her Pokemon with love and respect, and she suspected that the unborn Charmander would be well cared for as well. Once more she glanced back up at the new guy and nudged Kasiya. "Get a load of that guy," she said quietly, being sure to at least give the impression that they were talking about Keegan. "He looks a bit suspicious, doesn't he? I don't like the look of him."
Kasiya had still been leaning back in her seat, eyes closed so she hadn't noticed that Keegan had entered the Pokemon Center until Haruka spoke up. "Hmm?" she asked, opening one eye to follow Haruka's gaze. Even though she was looking at the back of him she'd recognize that head of flaming red hair anywhere. "Nah," she said, waving off Haruka's comment. "I know him. He's a ...close friend of mine," she added after a moment, a slight blush creeping into her cheeks. "His name is Keegan Summers. His parents own and operate the Breeding Center here in town."
"Oh, is that so?" Haruka grinned, nudging the younger girl again. "Close friend, eh? Just how close?" her voice had changed from a hushed whisper to something much louder, and Kasiya felt her ears burning as the few patrons of the Pokemon Center, including the nurse, turned to look at them.
"Close enough," she said finally, jumping up out of her seat and practically running to the front desk as the nurse had returned with her Pokemon.
"Your Pokemon are fighting fit," the nurse said cheerily, setting a much healthier and happier looking Shocker on the counter. The Raichu cheered and went to hop up on her trainer's shoulder, but changed her mind as she saw Keegan standing there. She jumped up on him instead, using her tail to steady herself as she hugged the redheaded trainer.
=-=-=-=-= Their journey had been rather uneventful and they'd made it to Slateport without incident. Jaeshan breathed a sigh of relief as he felt the cool ocean breeze ruffling his hair and he closed his eyes and smiled. It was late and he knew they should probably find their rooms soon - he'd thought enough to call ahead and reserve them each a room at one of the beach-side hotels. He'd put the charges on his dad's credit card (with permission, of course) and now all they had to do was check in. "Guess we'd better find that hotel before they give our rooms away," he told Ryka with a slight smile. He then proceeded to lead the way into town, looking around carefully for any sign of people he might now. The air seemed to get more chilly as they neared the water and it didn't take long to locate their hotel. It was pretty fancy and Jaeshan had long argued with his father on the phone about which hotel they'd pick, but Jaeshan's father was not about to let Jaeshan settle for anything but the best. Besides that, it had been the only place in town that still had any vacancies.
Together the two of them went inside and up to the front desk. Jaeshan couldn't help but feel slightly out of place as he rang the bell for service and the concierge came over, looking down his nose at the tall, blonde boy and his equally blonde female companion. "May I help you, kids?" he asked in a thin, oily voice.
"Reservations for Devereaux?" Jaeshan asked a bit awkwardly, scratching the side of his face. It felt odd to be using his last name.
The concierge nodded and entered the name into his computer before looking back up at the two kids. "Ah yes, of course! Welcome, Mr Devereaux," he said warmly, nodding first at Jaeshan and then at Ryka. He clapped his hands and a bellhop came towards them."If you'll follow Benson, here, he will take you to your rooms. Please enjoy your stay," he said with a slight bow before the bellhop began to lead them away. Jaeshan smiled at Ryka before he followed after Benson.

"Getting away!" Luffy cried just as loudly as before. This sneaking around and following business was harder then it seemed! Dashing forward the tails to his headband trailing behind him he went to the building that the shiny napkin had just disappeared behind. Just as he was about to run past it he remembered that he was trying to be sneaky! Feeling proud of himself he looked around the side of the building just in time to see the shiny napkin turn another corner! "Your right shiny spiky pineapple! It is getting away!" Dashing to the other side of the street, there were a lot of cartwheels and summersults as he did so, he gave chase to the floating shiny napkin of mystery! He was on an adventure all by himself and so far it was going great, he got to become Solid Luffy, there was a cool thing to chase, the floating spiky talking pineapple would maybe let him eat him later... Everything was going great, at least until he summersulted into a trashcan causing it to tip over. "Huh what was that?" Luffy asked rubbing his head, he clearly had no idea what happened even when he just did it.

Keegan passed his own Pokemon to the nurse, trying not to laugh at the girls' conversation, namely Kasiya's reaction, and turned in time to find a tan-coloured blur leaping up at him. "Whoa! Hi Shocker," he chuckled, patting the mouse fondly. "Have you two been getting into trouble again?" He looked towards the other girl sitting on the couch. "Just where did you run off to?" he asked, looking at Kasiya then. "You missed the whole battle," he said, trying not to sound annoyed. "We didn't win but we weren't totally overwhelmed either. Mike is as good of a trainer as you say he is," he added, still patting Shocker on the head. Gazing down at the powerful Raichu, he sighed. "Either way, it's spurred me to train harder," he murmured, not sure if he was talking to the Raichu or himself. Next time, things would be different.
"Your Pokemon are doing just fine, Keegan," the nurse said then, coming back up to the desk. She held out Keegan's Pokemon and he took them after setting Shocker back on the desk.
"Thanks," he said, nodding at the nurse as he placed Themis and Loki's Pokeballs on his waist strap and released Helios. The Vulpix yawned and studied Shocker for a moment then looked away. "You feeling all right?" Keegan asked, not at all surprised to see that Helios seemed down. He scooped up the little fox in his arms. "Don't worry about it, Helios," he told the Pokemon. "I think we did pretty good back there." Helios nodded, but hesitantly. "We should get back now," Keegan said then, looking to Kasiya. "It's going to be lunch time soon and my mom will go ballistic if we're late." He really didn't wait for an answer or response of any kind, just turned on a heel and headed out of the Pokemon Center. Helios had scampered up onto his trainer's shoulder, and the two went outside. Keegan had to admit that he wasn't really all that hungry, but after lunch he intended to do some serious training. ===== "Nice work, Venonat!" the boy cheered. "We got it on the ropes now! Hit that Pinsir with your Confusion attack!" The fluffy, purple insect turned quickly, its antennae quivering. Its eyes began to glow with that curious, blue aura again, but it dissipated quickly as a shiver passed through its body and paralysis caused it to seize up.
Seeing this as an opportunity to end the fight, Miharu pointed at the bug. "Petunia, go! Seismic Toss!" she shouted, watching as her Pinsir once again charged forward, quickly ensnaring the paralyzed Venonat in her pincers. She spun around a few times and launched the insect high in the air, turning her back on it as it came crashing back down. Petunia let out a mighty roar upon securing her victory, and she returned to Miharu's side, looking defiantly at their beaten opponents. "You were great!" Miharu giggled, hugging the beetle Pokemon proudly.
The boy said nothing at first; he just simply recalled his fallen Venonat. Then he turned to Miharu, smiling. "That was a good match," he said, nodding. "I'm sure you'll give Morty a run for his money. Good luck!"
"Thanks," Miharu beamed, recalling Petunia and mounting her bike once more. She waved goodbye before beginning to pedal in the direction of Ecruteak City, feeling quite elated after her win.

Mike giggled at Loki's silly antics, he kinda wanted an Arbok now. They looked like so much fun. Loki was such a good distraction that he had forgotten that he put hand out before he felt Keegan grab it. "Ah!" He jumped. "Oh, I just put a lot of work into it, I'm nothing special. But it's always nice to hear that, thanks." He felt the need to be humble, even if he did know that he was in fact, pretty rad, and that he was using some of his weaker Pokemon. Regardless of that fact he was still very pleased with Keegan's talent for battling. "You're not too bad yourself. Just keep at it and maybe you can beat me." Even though he had just battled, the thought of another battle with a stronger Keegan made him quite excited.
Nitro was pumped too. The Charizard had walked over, Napalm still perched happily on top of his head. He let out a happy roar and slapped Keegan on the back as a means of congratulation for a battle well done. Mushroom! The Magby jumped off of his dragon throne, landing rather harshly on an unprepared Portabello.
Omph! grunted the Breloom as he felt a piping hot weight land on his head, fumbling a bit with it so it would not fall to the ground. To his surprise it was the delightful youngling, although he was much heavier than last time. Little Master Napalm! You look well. Portabello smiled, he had a soft spot in his heart for the little fire duck.
Mike shrugged nonchalantly at Flannery's suggestion. "We could just spend a minute or two at the Center to kill the time." After recalling his Pokemon, he practically skipped over to his lovely tall lass and grabbed her hand, playfully planting a few kisses up her arm "Let us be off my darling." said Mike as he began the short walk to the Pokemon Center, Flannery in hand.

Shocker was all too eager to lap up the attention she was getting from Keegan, looking up at him with her warm, brown eyes. She hadn't know a human who was so strange in nature (not counting her own trainer, that is). One minute Keegan seemed like a cynical, angry jerk and the next he was all warm and fuzzy. Shocker didn't really understand it, but she knew Kasiya really liked him and that was all that mattered to her. Upon being set back down on the counter she instantly jumped up onto Kasiya, finding a way to perch herself on the girl's head.
"Ugh..." Kasiya groaned, nudging the Raichu until she moved down to her shoulder. "Shocker, you're too heavy to sit there now." Shocker just scoffed and wrapped her tail around Kasiya's head like a makeshift headband. Kasiya sighed and looked to Keegan a big sheepishly. "I'm sorry," she murmured, feeling bad about running off like that. "I just wanted to make sure the egg had a proper spot in my party, is all." She watched with sad eyes as Keegan left the Pokemon Center, and she sighed again.
At this point, Haruka stood up and brought the orange egg over to Kasiya, and nudged the girl with her elbow. "Here, you should hold onto this," she said, reaching up to pat Shocker. "I've gotta jet. But maybe I'll see you around again. It's a small enough world, after all."
Kasiya nodded. "Oh yeah, there's this big party in Slateport tomorrow. Are you going to go? All my friends will be there and I'm sure they'd like to meet you."
Haruka shook her head. "Probably not. I've got too much to do, I can't spend all day lounging around on a beach. But you never know. I might see you there." Haruka gave a bit of a salute and turned to leave the Pokemon Center. "See you 'round, Sailor Moon," she added with a wink.
Kasiya watched her go before glancing down at the hot egg again. Her eyes opened wide when she saw Haruka's name written neatly in marker across the smooth shell and she frowned. "Hey, she wrote on my egg!" she grumbled, realizing after a moment that Haruka had included her PokeNav number. Kasiya giggled and transfered the number to her own PokeNav before wiping the egg clean with the edge of her shirt. "We'd better get going," she told Shocker, who nodded. "I don't want to keep Mrs Summers waiting."
=-=-=-=-= "Fine," Flannery shrugged, trying not to smile at all the kisses being planted along her arm. "It was just a suggestion." She then hopped the fence, not having a problem thanks to her long legs and she took Mike's hand. "Let's not take too long. Keegan's mom can be pretty scary when she's mad..." she trailed off, deciding for now to just enjoy the walk, no matter how short it was. "By the way, you were pretty great back there," she added, gently poking him in the ribs. "Both of you, actually. I've gotta say that I'm quite impressed." She then leaned over and gently kissed his cheek. Today had been quite eventful and they hadn't even had lunch yet.

"Why thank you." replied Mike, resisting every urge to gloat and brag over his victory. "But you're a little biased towards me, so that's not really fair." He smiled and returned the kiss. "But to be honest, I'm a little annoyed that Kasiya didn't stick around." He made a perturbed wave with his free hand. "If I walked out on one of her battles I'm sure she'd give me that 'I so sad and its your fault' look that gir-she's so good at." He clamped his mouth shut for a moment and looked at Flannery, hoping she didn't catch his initial meaning of that sentence.
He cleared his throat and moved on with the conversation. "Yeah, Keegan's got the smarts for battling, but he just needs more experience. And that'll come in due time." He figured Keegan wouldn't run headfirst into dramatic prison breaks like he did, but whatever he would have to face, he knew that his friend would be fine. The Pokemon Center doors swung open in front of them, a girl walking out with a smile on her face. "Excuse me." Mike said warmly as he leaned to the side to grant her free space and walked in. Keegan was there with Helios, already fixed up. Kasiya was there too, and they looked like they were engaged in small talk. I'll just let 'em be. The Nurse didn't have the time to wave hello before Mike had lightly tossed Felsic and Beacon's Pokeball and Ultra Ball at her. "Hello Joy." He said with a smile. "Would you be so kind as to look over my Pokemon for me?" The Nurse smiled and walked into the back room, the red light above the counter flashing on.
Mike turned, but to his surprise saw no one there. "Guess they went back to their house." He shrugged, glancing up at Flannery. He softly leaned from side to side before resting his head on her arm and letting out a happy sigh.

((Is this where we're fast-forwarding and whatnot?)) Keegan made it back to his house pretty quickly, as by now the walk was pretty much mindless and he could do it blindfolded if he wanted to. His mind was blank as he walked and not once did he look back to see if anyone was following him. As he predicted his mother was standing on the front porch, arms crosses as she waited for the kids to come back. Upon spotting her son she raised an eyebrow. "Where have you been? Lunch is on the table and it's getting cold!" she hollered, waving a spatula at him.
Both Keegan and Helios gulped and picked up their pace. "We're just getting back from the Pokemon Center," he told her as the climbed up the stairs. "Everyone else should be back any time now." He looked around hopefully before stepping inside the house to wash up for lunch. He released his team of Pokemon into the yard so they could eat as well, and when everyone finally were all together again, lunch was served. Maggie had whipped up everyone's favourite dishes, with the exception of Kasiya because she didn't know what the girl liked to eat. There was a pretty good selection though, and it would ensure that no one would go hungry this fine day. ===== It was starting to get dark when Miharu finally reached Ecruteak City, and she was surprised to find herself quite tired upon arriving at her destination. The Pokemon Center was easy to spot as she entered the town and she didn't hesitate to make her way to it, where she gave the nurse Sparkle and Petunia's Pokeballs. She sat down on a nearby chair to wait, catching sight of a poster tacked to the wall closest to her. From where she sat she could tell it said something about a Beach Party of sorts, but it would be held a few days from now in a place called Slateport. She didn't know where that was, plus she didn't see any reason to go. She didn't have any friends and she wasn't sure if she was up to the task of making new ones. She was still thinking about the party and if she should go when she heard the nurse call out to her. She reclaimed her two fully-healed Pokemon and headed back outside, deciding to find a place to have supper and turn in for the night. Their day had been a busy one and as much as she wanted to work with her Pokemon before bed, she was just too exhausted.
After she and her party were all full-up from dinner she headed back to the Pokemon Center and found an unoccupied room for the night. She barely had the energy to change into her pajamas and brush her teeth before she practically fell into bed and was sound asleep in a matter of moments.

((Yeah I suppose so. We should just get to Slateport and whatever and if there was stuff needing to be done in between just post it later as like a recap or something.)) Kasiya followed along behind Keegan, cuddling her egg while trying to keep Shocker balanced up on her shoulder. She figured that Mike and Flannery wouldn't be far behind her and she tried to keep up a good pace, but before long he'd gotten way ahead of her. She arrived perhaps five minutes behind him and she too went inside, finding her stomach rumbling with hunger. The house was a tantalizing storm of delicious smells noticeable from the street outside, and she couldn't wait to dig in. Once she was sure her own Pokemon were going to have something to eat, and she wasn't surprised yet again to see the group of them hanging out together. Maybe it was just because the only other Pokemon they knew were Keegan's Pokemon, but it didn't matter so much. It still made her happy to see them all getting along. As usual, she had to tell Ada to stay outside with the other Pokemon, and even after the Larvitar cried and threw a tantrum Kasiya held her ground.
Lunch itself was nothing short of delicious, and Kasiya couldn't recall a time as of late where she'd been happier. Good food, great company! There wasn't much else one needed to be happy. Add in the fact that her Pokemon were there with her and it was just perfect. It wasn't until they had finished, food and cleaning up as well, when she started to feel a little down. She shook it off quickly though, knowing good times were ahead of her tomorrow at the Beach Party. She looked towards Mike and Flannery, and smiled. "So what are you guys going to do?" she asked. "I think we're going to head back to Mauville and see if my bike is all fixed now," she said, gesturing towards herself and Keegan. "Will we be seeing you guys in Slateport?"
Flannery eyed the tall, short-haired girl who came out of the Pokemon Center carefully before she followed Mike inside. Sure enough, both Kasiya and Keegan were there but they appeared to be in their own little worlds. Love birds, she thought with a sly smile, but realized she was glad they'd found each other. She glanced Mike's way as he handed over his Pokemon and she strolled over to him to stand next to him as they waited for the return of his Pokemon. She watched as Keegan left the center first, with Kasiya following shortly afterwards. She thought it strange at first to not see them leave together but decided it wasn't anything too out of the ordinary. She leaned back against the counter and sighed, closing her eyes. She smiled when she felt Mike leaning up against her, and suddenly she wondered why it had taken so long for the two of them to get together. "Whenever you're ready," she told the brown-haired boy softly.

As usual, Miharu woke up exceedingly early the following morning, and she went about her morning routine quite quickly. After she and her Pokemon had their breakfast she headed out into the cool, morning air of Ecruteak City, eager to explore as well as start her training for the day. The very first thing she did upon leaving the Pokemon Center was scout around for the gym. With Aska soaring through the sky it was an easy task, and quite quickly the duo located it. As predicted, it was currently closed, but upon reading the sign outside, Miharu felt a chill creep down her spine.
Ecruteak City Pokemon Gym Leader: Morty Master of Ghostly Pokemon
Miharu recalled her faithful Pidgeotto and headed away from the gym, not at all surprised to have found the gym's opening time to be around sunset. Probably just to set the mood for battle, she thought, smiling a bit. She'd never battled a ghost type Pokemon before and to be honest she was actually quite nervous about it. She had been confident about battling with Whitney, but now that she was here in Ecruteak, preparing to take on Morty instead, she wasn't so sure. She sighed and continued walking, having left her bike at the Pokemon Center for the time being.
Now the trouble with being out and about so early was that not many people were early-risers, which mean that there was very few people around. Miharu loved the morning and everything about it - she was a big fan of watching the sunrise and she loved how crisp and cool the early morning air felt on her skin. She couldn't shake the eerie feeling Ecruteak seemed to have given her right from the moment she entered the city limits, and even her dreams in the night had been dark and unsettling. Before long she found herself in the center of town, and in the distance she could make out a tall tower. Judging by the layout of the city there should have been another tower nearby, but she didn't see another one. Curious, Miharu made her way towards the tower, hoping that by the time she'd finished exploring there would be a few more people around, and possibly some trainers to battle with as well.
