Elke's lips pursed as her eyes lingered over the edge that her feet daintly shuffled upon. It's not too much of a way down. Cowabunga? Her eyes jumped to several shreds of wood. The pieces were polished, but they'd definitely taken a beating from something. She trotted slowly, searching for more clues when she spotted a man on the shore. She breathed in quickly, taking a few glances around before bolting over to the unmoving man. It was Alucard, her eyes widening at his scary state. "Alucard, Alucard." She yelped nervously, rolling him over onto his back before pressing a hand to his neck for a pulse. It was faint and weak, but she sighed relieved she wasn't too late to help. "Alucard, can you hear me?"

Brian approached the docks and smelled the smell of fish he hadn't smelt in a long time. He smiled. "Wow" he said quietly to himself. "I'm back in New York again."

As Elke turned him over there was three 2x4 pieces of wood sticking through his chest, one had gone completely through but was covered by his trenchcoat, all of the pieces of wood missed his heart but nontheless they were protruding from him, he was losing blood at an incredible rate, it was amazing he was still alive, but not responsive, he was unconsious from whatever attacked him, he layed there motionless but there was a flicker of movement when she had said his name, but no verbal response.

"Damnit. Damnit. Damnit. Bloody hell." She cried, staring at the wood pierced into his body. "What do I do? What do I do? Damnit. Bloody hell damnit." Her hands shook violenty as they hovered over his body unsure what to do. Elke's nostrils flared at the powerful scent of blood that was growing quickly. "Not now. Not bloody now." She shrieked, holding one of the pieces lightly. She reasoned if she actually took the piece out he'd bleed to death faster than she could say a complete sentence. But they had to be taken out sometime. Her hands clutched it and she slipped it out with a harsh tug, slapping her right hand on the wound immediately to put pressure. "This won't work. This won't work. You can't bloody die on me, b*****d."

As she slamed her hand on the wound Alucard coughed out a mixture of blood and water, he came to not remembering what had happend but he looked up and saw Elke through the haze of bloodloss, "Hello." he said softly but more blood and water came out with his words, he looked down and saw the pieces of wood sticking out of him, "...hmm...well this....is new...." he thought as he looked back up to Elke.

Eat him alive. How long has it been since you fed? Month? I'll get you yet. Elke's eyes widened and a nervous giggle escaped her lips, she had convinced herself she'd be digging his grave by now. "I uh. Damnit." Her voice was hardly audible over his coughing while she eyed the other pieces. He sure got in some trouble. "You'll be fine, kid. Fine and dandy." She choked on her words, realizing she was kidding herself. No, no. She was just looking negatively, yes? Her eyes searched him up and down, conflicting on whether to take a grab at the another piece.

Alucard saw what she was looking at, he noded, "Go ahead....take it out..." he said as he braced himself for the pain that was about to happen.

"Are ya. Are ya sure?" Elke stuttered, looking at it and then back to Alucard. She didn't want to hurt him, but this needed to be done. Without a reply, she took her free left hand and took grasp of the piece, slipping it out more easily than the previous. She threw it aside without a look, and planted her hand on the wound that had begun to bleed. She glanced at her hands, both pressing against him and grinned weakly at him. "Now what?"

"You know...I actually never thought that far ahead...." he laughed at a time like this, staring death in the face, he laughed, "Well...umm...I have another idea...." he said as he sat up taking the katana from his side and cutting a his shirt off and ripped it into pieces, he tied the long strips around himself to cover the wounds, "This should help for awhile....I think I might need...medical attention...." he laughed as he laid back down out of exaustion, he had used all of his energy covering the wounds, "Well we're out of the woods and into the storm I guess." he said as he laid his head back.

Elke kept her hold on the wounds, not wishing to find out what would happen if she let go. She frowned at him, her face overtaken with concern. She wearily fidgeted, kneeling besides him. Still, since she was keeping pressure her upper body was wavering above his. "You should. You should. Worried about you. What kind of trouble did you get yourself into?" Her voice was soft, but took harsh turns with anxiety. A boatload of trouble, I'd say.

"I can't remember...I...I..see darkness then an explosion...then...waking up here...with you...." he smiled as he took a deep breath and sat back up, yelping in pain as he moved, he finally was up, "Ha! now for the next challenge...." he said as he shifted to a kneeling postion, then he stood up with another yell of pain, "Well now that thats done....lets find a nice place to stay eh?" he said as he tried as hard as he could to keep balance, but it was a losing battle as he swayed and finally regained his composure.

Elke let go hesitantly while he moved upright. Stay? Elke ain't homeless no more, yo. She scrambled to her feet, wondering what would have happened if she had not been there. Psh. Don't think about that. She smoothed a few stringy bangs on her forehead, apprehensive on letting him walk about. "St-stay?"

"Yeah...I don't actually have a home..*Another groan of pain*..here...I just sleep in a safe place...but now I need somewhere to go to heal...for quiet awhile..." he said trying to think of a safe place to go to heal, "Hmm...well I...guess the park would be the safest." he said grimacing at the thought of the park.

"The park, yes." Elke nodded quickly, approving as if she was responsible for him. She licked her lips, smacking them quietly in thought. He was badly injured and she felt useless. May as well let him go. Someone else could definitely do better than how she did. "Go on ahead. I'll catch up with you if I can. I may drop in to my own residence, perhaps." She giggled lightly, remembering she'd actually only been there once.
