The Player Bot:

Analysis - The player bot seems to be concerned solely on the purpose of skilling, giving it the illusion of being a bot.
Based upon the evidence, the subject seems incapable of completing quests because it is unable to solve simple puzzles nor can it read important dialogue relating to the quests. What it is capable of doing is training skills. Unlike quests, skills require repetitive clicking which requires little to no thought process. The subject also states a hatred towards updates in general. As updates can sometimes consist of more complications to its skilling ways, requiring it to adapt to training. This, of course, requires thought. However, the fact that the subject has been around for so long with limited brainpower suggests that it may have been taught by others. It is likely that it may have taken a while for it to grasp even the basics of what others have told him, and may have frustrated both the subject and the teachers. It is truly amazing to see such a being capable of functioning at all.
To compare this player's characteristics to a bot. Bots are normally programmed to do a simple, repetitive task. Puzzles and the capabilities of reading, analysing, making judgments and then acting upon these judgements to complete a task are usually not found within their programming. Therefore, they are incapable of participating in quests. Updates to a skill they are programmed to do can cause them problems, and may require reprogramming to adapt to these changes. And since they cannot reprogram themselves, they'll be stuck doing little to nothing until someone does. Although a bot's programming can be complex, a good programmer should have little trouble in reprogramming it. Unlike the player bot, a bot will have little trouble in completing new tasks if programmed correctly. Whereas a player bot can become confused when attempting to learn new things, since the information isn't written directly into them like a bot.
