Well you two. I just want to say this.
If I based on a modern style of combat, it would be much more complex. There would be many many more resources to handle between the forces.
If I did medieval, then there wouldnt be near as many different style units/forces or as many resources.

Though you are outnumbered, powerless, and they have their powers. Likely you wont win. So if he is abducted then he is abducted but he can say no.
hmm well i still wouldn't mind ether though i would lean more towards midevil myself lol.

what are you talking about rao, there's i large number of unit types if you break it down by military function. just enable all the medieval weapons. that's even assuming no magic (which is the absolute best way to play medieval...i love old style with no magic). a huge amount of strategy. which i have studied...thoroughly.

Medieval: Units - Sword infantry, Spear Infantry, Archers, Calvary Resources - Food, Wood, Metal, Stone, Coin
Modern: Units - Infantry, Armor, Fighter, Bomber, Cruiser, Carrier, B. Ship, Submarine Resources - Food, Metal, Coin, Oil, Copper, Gunpowder Specials - Missiles, Artillery, Satellites
Take your pick XP
I can enhance the units in both modern and medieval but those will only be unlocked by time and research. So players have to earn them.

sword infantry is a myth. it was a sidearm (it is adopted into fiction because of its glamor, and it was used by non-military, and generals for its symbolism). it was also terribly impractical when being run down by cavalry. where are all the good weapons?
also, catapults? cannons? trebuchets? there can be specials in both.

Siege weapons will be technological enhancement units. People will have to develop them over time.
And that is why cavalry are so good. In my little statistic chart, they are much stronger than sword infantry, get a large bonus when attacking archers and a mild bonus when attacking swordsmen, but absolutely get shredded when fighting pike men.

gyah, statistic style.
archer beats all but shield or phalanx infantry assuming the distance is right. archer +cavelry either = horse, or = infantry, or = wounded one of the two, or = complete death, or = miss.
pike beats sword infantry, and cavelry. sword only wins if extremely lucky (or against swords, or unarmed, or close range archer). pole arm always wins over sword in practical warfare. plus almost everyone carried a sword anyways. thus it being a sidearm. though greatswords are good for slaying horses if you have someone watching your back....because you will die if you don't.
(this is just a general principal. the truth of the matter depends on circumstance, and specifics.)
also, cavelry is not always stronger than infantry, it depends how you arrange the troops. if the formation is tight, infantry will own cavelry, but be owned by archers and seige weapons. if the formation is loose, they will own archers (not the individual, but the whole army) but lose to cavelry.

Yeah. But this makes it a little easier to handle, plus gives every unit weaknesses and strengths. Check out the website itself and you will see what I mean. (check unit info and attack info)
It turned out supreme last time it ran. LOL. I wish I could find all my old conqueror buddies. That would be awesome.

tis because of statistic based battle.
also, a trebuchet cannot retreat. they are built on the spot, and quite stationary. the wheels confuse people, but they cannot be moved with them. i did a project on trebuchets.
you sir, are one of those people who don't say goodbye when you leave.
also, if we are going to do stat based, then you should balance cavalry. it becomes a god with that extra 25%.

Well Aria. It is proven that some nations developed packed trebuchets. They just had one weakness and that was they fact that they took usually even longer to set up but could be brought down and moved. I am going to make it a tech to allow trebuchets to retreat. On the extra information for trebuchets, i will say that they cannot retreat.

The time stamp says one thing, but where he lived, it was most likely 7 AM. I believe im 2 hours ahead of gaia. Or behind. Something like that.
And who really cares. It makes it to where you aren't going to lose your trebuchet if you attack with them. That would just be gay. Lose the battle, lose your trebuchet. Making them like this, I can make it to where people may keep their trebuchet if they lose the fight. If they have the tech of course. Heh heh heh.
