Like I said, I don't mind being short
I'm not really.. that short compared to normal people though, I think
My family's just huge xD
But I prefer taller guys, so this helps.. = w=

Now that you mention it, I actually am looking into learning French.
I took some mandatory classes in High School,
but I never cared enough to learn and it got to the point I couldn't even understand the test instructions written in French.
But looking into the whole French writing like Voltaire and an interest in its culture,
not to mention the kick-a** advantage of being able to utter phrases in such an exotic language,
I got the motivation to look into it.

My college doesn't offer much in the language departments.
There are only a few sections,
and they're not always offered.
But I'll get to it eventually even if I have to do it by myself.

I actually got in the realm of the more advanced english by studying the writing style and structure of figures like Edgar Allan Poe, JRR Tolkien, Dan Abnett, JK Rowling, and the like.
So I guess teaching myself another language isn't too far from the spectrum.
In any case, since I already know spanish and english,
I have quite the advantage already.

And... I read dictionaries and sometimes have apps like 'word of the day' on some of my stuff.
I learned about 'ennui' through my kick-a** English student-teacher last semester
She also enlightened me to the sheer awesomeness that is "Repo: The Genetic Opera" and 'Monty Python", especially the parrot sketch:
"This parrot is no more! It has ceased to be! It has expired and gone to meet its maker! This is a late parrot! It's a'stiff; bereft of life- it rests in peace and if you hadn't nailed it to the perch it would be pushing out the daisies! It's run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible! This is an ex-parrot!"
xD I love that sketch!
I've listened to it so much I can pretty much recall it entirely.
=3

And yeah, I agree with Master Rayan...
I don't really mind a girl's size.
I find both tall and short to have equal merits.
However, I must confess about being particularly vulnerable to redheads...
whether natural or dyed... sweatdrop
Can't seem to help it...
>.>;;
Not that I don't mind blondes or brunettes, of course!

In any case, I'll probably work on a post before leaving for my 3-hour college trip...
=.=;;

Yay! Dojo things!

I wouldn't mind it so much except all, and I mean all, the people I frequently hang out will are about 4"+ taller than me. I think I have two guy friends who are under 6'? I have one girl friend whose only an inch taller than me, so that's nice.

It's a relative thing. If I wasn't so freaking short, relative to my friends, I wouldn't mind it. But because I am... well it's harsh.

I like taller guys too.. which makes me of two minds about my height.. and screws with the little things. I have to stand on steps to be properly hugged or kissed. And when we're walking my clumsiness is only multiplied 'cause I'm always cranking my neck to look at them. Guys may think it's cute when girls trip or run into things, but it really hurts, damnit!

Mmm. Since I have a background in English and French and used to be in a couple Spanish classes I can understand it sometimes if it's written. But we had a terrible teacher so nobody applied themselves in the class. I have long since forgotten anything I knew.

I'm thinking about getting back into it, and will probably take a few Spanish classes in university, if my degree allows. I think it would be a useful language to have.

I haven't read any but a couple Poe stories. I read the first two Harry Potter books before I had to put them down because I really didn't like the writing style. LOTR was never even an option.

I suck at teaching myself things. I have no drive. I never read french books, even though I know it'll make me better. I never study vocabulary or use flashcards. I just nod along.

I love that sketch! I'm not sure if I have a favorite Monty Python sketch, but one that has to be up there is the one with the two business people who are watching a succession of executives jumps out the window during a board meeting, and then proceed to bet on who will be next. I wish I could describe it better, but it has been awhile since I've watched it..

I totally get the redhead thing. But for me it's frizzy curls. Those girls just make me weak at the knees... like Roxanne in Cyrano de Bergerac. I like 'em better with freckles though. Though on the whole I'm not really picky when it comes to attractiveness. If you're beautiful, you're beautiful.

I have no particular traits that I head for, except one for each gender. Boys: tall, Girls: Slim. I'm not a big fan of curves on girls.. even though ironically those are the ones I prefer to draw. What can I say? I'm a woman of two minds about everything!

Kurai:
I am not here!
YOU SEE NOTHING!
Existence is relative and so I do not exist to meet any demands!
Viva la resistánce!
>=3

I'm not on my laptop, so I don't have anything.
In any case, I only have like...
5-10 pictures taken of me in an entire year.
15-20 if it's a REALLY active year for me.
There's usually not much of an occasion, and when it does happen, I'm not paying attention to the fact I can take a photo.
I'm usually too busy taking it all in, not recording it in a physical or digital medium.

I utterly concur.
I recognise beauty for what it is.
I do have a part of me that still holds some notion of vanity, but I just take in the entire picture.
Women are who they are, and deserved to be appraised by such;
to take in what they are is to miss out on the greater whole.
Just the way that a gorgeous plate can taste like crap, women can be the same.
And when it comes to food that looks like crap and tastes better than anything I've seen...
I have experienced that first-hand.
My late grandmother's dishes looked like an otherworldly aberration...
but they are truly divine slices of paradise.

I like the Harry Potter storyline and the movies.. I just couldn't read the books.

Liberté, égalité, fraternité! Vive la résistance!

A food analogy of women! Woman don't always have one or the other, you know. There are dishes which look whimsical and taste just as good. Like ice cream parfaits topped with those little crumbly cookies and a piece of mixed chocolate stuck in them. Whipped cream and sprinkles, too. And mixed berries dusted over the top.. Mmm.. I want ice cream. We have homegrown raspberries in the freezer! And maybe some blueberries if I'm lucky. No cookies though. Too bad. I love those..

I have next to no photos of me too. Though about six months ago I got a new haircut and took some pictures.. they're outdated now, though. Oh wait! Grad photos~! But that's just a once in however long thing. Besides, they look terrible.

Wait, I'm "Master Rayan" now?

I also profess a fondness for redheads, and also brunettes. Though, looking at Tiff's designs for Tiff, I think blondes are pretty hot too. I must be forgetting the black-haired people... actually most of the people I know who have black hair are guys. Must be why I notice the redhead and brunette girls instead? sweatdrop
