Multi-millionaire? And yet you dress in such drab clothing? Surely, you jest. You strike me as a pauper.
But if it's something without a price that you wish, perhaps I can help. I have one of those gifts that money can't buy.

*Scoffs* I doubt a stuffed shirt like you could even begin to conceive what a man want. After all, I've all the treasures of the world in my stately pleasure dome, and yet...*trails off*

I've tasted pleasures YOU could never know. But I suppose you're right. It HAS been a long time since I've known what a man wants. Immortality? Well. It's not something I'd give to someone so drab and boring.

Bah! What sort of fool wants immortality? The same kind of fool who would judge a man by his clothes, that's who! An immortal life isn't worth living. Better to live and be loved, even if you're loved for owning those around you.

*Smiles at Kane, and starts talking at him with elaborate, sweeping hand gestures for accompaniment. His mouth moves Godzilla-style, but no sound comes out.*

Who said I wanted immortality? I wasn't given a choice. But I adapted. I've made my gift my own. And I've owned the people around me before. I don't think it's an experience i'd relieve. Claudia was QUITE insistant on being released from my grip. *Lestat smiled sadly* Of course, it got her destroyed, in the end.

Of course I do! I pay them fairly. They have no need because I give them what they desire, as my gift. These unions talk of rights and necessity, yet they attack me as though I were one of these fascists in Europe. The damned unions don't know what they need.

Anyone who thinks he knows what people need more than they do? Yeah. Ya sound pretty fascist to me.

*smiles broadly, clutching his chest with joy and gesticulating wildly*
*pauses, and face turns serious, dark eyes looking thoughtful* *montage scene starts of factory workers toiling gruellingly in unison, when the machinery EXPLODES! Men are carted away, dead and injured, quickly replaced with more tired workers. Next is a scene of a mob of workers angrily advancing on the upper levels of the rich*
