I'm trying to make this as clear as possible....
Match is NOT an oc version of Superboy anymore. *
At his conception that's exactly what he was, because we didn't have a canon version of Superboy when I made Match. Match was going to be a stand-in for Superboy and I planned on paying homage to the Superboy of the Young Justice series through him.
When Aqua took the canon Superboy, though, that's when Match changed from being an oc version of Superboy to an oc version of the canon Match.

I'm still paying homage the aspects of Superboy specific to the series, but I'm doing so in the understanding that my character isn't really Superboy and will never be considered a Superboy. He's exactly what the canon Match was - an imperfect duplicate of Superboy.
Is that easier to understand?
:: Actually, the striked statement isn't actually true. He started out as an oc version of Match at
initial conception, but then everyone said he could just be
the Superboy because there wasn't a Superboy yet, and so I designed the entire character around him being Superboy.
