So I guess Match will officially cross over

Match isn't Superboy, he's Match.

Well he WAS the Superboy before Aqua entered as the canon Superboy. And you can still look into it if you want, I did make Match first. The ONLY reason he was going to be the Superboy was because there wasn't already a Superboy filling in.

After Aqua entered as the canon Superboy I quietly went back and revised Match's entire concept to change him from Superboy analogue to the Superboy clone the canon Match was.

To be so dismissive of the idea shows you don't really have much appreciation for the thought that went into the planning and execution of this character, which is fine. I'm not asking you to care. Just accept he's a part of Young Justice and thus apart of DCU, because the two share continuity. It's the same universe, crossovers are gonna happen. Match is going to meet his big brother and it's going to be fun.

The short answer is that's exactly what's going to happen and the only person confused by it is you.

I'm trying to make this as clear as possible....

Match is NOT an oc version of Superboy anymore. *At his conception that's exactly what he was, because we didn't have a canon version of Superboy when I made Match. Match was going to be a stand-in for Superboy and I planned on paying homage to the Superboy of the Young Justice series through him.

When Aqua took the canon Superboy, though, that's when Match changed from being an oc version of Superboy to an oc version of the canon Match.



I'm still paying homage the aspects of Superboy specific to the series, but I'm doing so in the understanding that my character isn't really Superboy and will never be considered a Superboy. He's exactly what the canon Match was - an imperfect duplicate of Superboy.

Is that easier to understand?



:: Actually, the striked statement isn't actually true. He started out as an oc version of Match at initial conception, but then everyone said he could just be the Superboy because there wasn't a Superboy yet, and so I designed the entire character around him being Superboy.

Because he's not a Bizarro, he never was a Bizarro, and he never will be a Bizarro.

Not even the CANON Match was actually a Bizarro. They just made him look and act like one to make him more digestible for chaps like yourself who need to reduce absolutely everything to the simplest terms.

If it makes it easier for you to understand then fine, you can think of him as a Bizarro. Just also understand that it's also a wildly inaccurate labeling and will offer you no insight into the character at all because he's NOT a Bizarro. Other than the skin, he shares no traits with a Bizarro. He was not created through the Bizarro process, he will not live on Htrae, and he will never use opposite-speak.
