"SO-"
"Quiet." A blue robed figure said with a rather calm and soft voice. His hood was drawn up, and he had no hair on his head. That one word stole the breath from the Red one. "The Archmagus Izlude is talking about his plans to restore the surface world. It sounds exactly like something you tried. Perhaps you could advise him about the fallacies and pit falls of using enchantments to drain the poisons away."
The Red one looked at the blue one, and nodded and moved away from Malik and to the table where Izlude ws talking about his brillient plan.
"I am sorry about my collegues. They have all suffered a degree of madness that seems incurable; well, almost." He bowed his head, "I am... Ion. I know who you are, I know where you are from, I know what you can do, and I know about your pets," A slight pause," and loving wife." The blue robed man had yellow eyes which spoke of his great wisdom, and lust for gold.
"Not everyone thinks that the lesser races are worth the air they breathe, would you not agree?"

Piper shook her head lightly and in that polite declining manner. She wasn't stupid, she knew Arthur had a thing for Zahara, it was painfully obvious back at the mannor and what not. Besides, the slaves liked to gossip about it. "I'd probably do you no good as a dance partner...might as well take Zahara..." Giving a inclination over to her friend beside her. Let Arthur have his little bit of fun.

"I would agree. but in that case, an elf is not a human's 'lesser' our races are far older and in many cases superior to a human. But at least you understand such, Ion. Power corrupts..in different ways. for some it shatters."
Though a slight nod.
"So then..perhaps you can tell me about Warren. I find the change in his person intriging. something has happened to him to vastly increase his physical strength and mystical power. What might you know about it?"
though a glance at his wife..he was not going to neglect her for much longer.

Zahara turned and glanced at Piper. Why was she offering her up now? Her eyes wandered back around to Sevilin and caught his gaze for a moment. He certainly wasn't having the best of times was he? She'd already seen a few of the women in the room eyeing him though if that was because he was a drow or just an attractive male she really didn't know. It would be really easy to push the dance off on Piper but she just wasn't going to make her. "I'm free I suppose. Besides for all the stuff that happened earlier, I suppose a dance is in order." Thus she uncrossed her legs and held out her hand. "To the floor with us Lord Coldiron?"

Arthur lightly nodded towards Piper's decline but felt sad that he was leaving her out of the fun she could be having. "Listen Piper after I'm done my dance with Zahara I'll dance with you, it's only fair and you don't deserve to be left alone here by yourself, you should have some fun when you're here right?" His offer was most polite, it wasn't fair to only dance with one of them and just leave the other there to just sit and do nothing, that's why he asked if both of them wanted a dance. Slowly his gaze turned to Zahara and he lightly nodded as he took her hand into his own. "Of course Lady Val'ril." He replied and slowly stood up from his chair and waited until his dance partner was up then slowly he lead the both of them onto the floor. He smiled lightly as he placed his hands on her body exactly where they should be when they are dancing and started to move to the music with grace, as if he had danced to this song numerous of times. "So what do you think of King Jiscal?" He asked, might as well start talking about something, break the ice a little bit.

"What makes you so certain he is human?" Ion replied, knowing that Malik was clever and could not be fooled for long. Five chormatic wizards.
"Warren?" Ion replied, "I have only been told that he saved a girl named Bode from a Demi-Lich, and seemed to use a hidden source of power to do so. It nearly killed him. Maybe that power regenerated." Ion seemed to know that quiet well, as though someone had told him everything he needed to know.
A rather young and hansome half elf man walked over to the table, and looked straight at Piper. "Lady, it seems that you have been all but abandoned at this table, perhaps I could aid in the passage of time that causes you to be seperated from your party? A dance? A small waltz to remind those who brought you why they should not have left you alone?" He smiled softly. His tone was gentle, his eyes a rather hopeful ambre, his hair short and styled like a knight between wars. His dress was similar to all the other lords of Deep Water, but had been altered to look more elvish.

That's all it took for Malik.
"Polymorphed dragons? Red, black, blue, green, and white...and that power may have regenerated. but that doesn't explain teh physical. part of his 'cure' at a young age was physical weakness..which he has apprently shed.."
though a look at that one over by his table, talking to his wife.
"If you'll excuse me.."
And walking over, one hand resting lightly on Ebony's hilt.
"Now now. Don't you know that drow don't like it when someone tries to move in on thier wives?"
A look at Piper.
"apparently that one..person...was merely a curious mage. nothing to be worried about even in that feral look. Perhaps you'd like to dance, seeing as I've left you alone like that?"

Ion smiled, "Took you long enough." He whispered, which Malik could hear clearly, but no one else.
The half elf gentry backed away, and when he was a fare distance from the group, vapourized.

As she heard a human once say...out of the frying pan and into the fire. Honestly? Yes she was still avoiding Arthur...not to be mean but that was really how she was just dealing with things...and didn't want to risk another upset like that that cause her to act like a scared rabbit. Though it seemed like she was going to get set up with Arthur regardless of how much she wanted to distance herself from him out of wanting to not know what he thought of her. After all, Arthur probably still thought of her no better than he did before, and well...probably thought her drow complex was creepy to. So somewhat of a smile as the two left the table...but her attention shifted once more again to someone else. What? Did she look dejected and vulnerable, screaming for attention? Probably...Though wait...there was a saving grace in dancing with a stranger...meant that Arthur couldn't get his hands on her...and thus she could avoid the situation longer. It was like eating to avoid answering a question. "Abandoned is a harsh word my friend, maybe I have merely sent those close to me off to do better things that sit here and guard the table with me so to speak." Though it seemed Malik was there to save her from that as well...which part of her was equally thankful for. After all...strangers and her current paranoia of 'I'm preganant and don't want to be touched because I don't know what your hands do or where they've been' just didn't mix. "Scare tactics this early in the night A'mael?" A small shake of her head. "Better safe than sorry...but apparently I scream dejected or something..." Or whatever it was she was giving off. "Don't feel guilty, I told you to have your own mingling fun...though I bet a dance would ward off the 'look she's alone and vulnerable' look for at least a bit so you can go back to your mingling after that, I'll only keep you for one." He was the social butterfly in this situation so to speak.

Suddenly the dance floor grew slightly dark, and in the middle a spot light centered upon a single, rather interestingly dress half elf. "Good Tidesin. I am Lore, the resident bard of the Purian Paninsula and hero of many songs and sagas. This eve, I shall play for you a waltz from a land I have never been, though it has brought tears to even Elven eyes. For it once dwelled in the heart of an emerald forest, entertaining the Sylvan Elves prior to the Cataclysm." The Elf bowed his head, and pulled a viola from thin air. He played a song common to lands of the surface, where ever elves gathered for feasts or festivals. A tune said to have been crafted by Corellon him/her self.
The lights went back up, but the lights twinkled with a bardic glow. Small shapes drifted throughout the dance floor, mimicing creatures that only one with a vivid imagination could see, or have looked upon on another plane where they still live in the sunlight.

Before his hands could find their way anywhere on her body she comandeered them and placed them right where she wanted them and would monitor things carefully to keep certain things from happening. But soon enough she let Arthur move into the natural rhythm of the dance. "King Jiscal? I'm not really sure as I've never met him. He seems to be the personable sort I suppose and I wouldn't mind dancing with him if he asked but other than that, well I just don't know him. Why?" She blinked a bit as the dance floor suddenly took a different turn as another elf appeared. Seemed there was an abundance of them really. Many more than she'd thought originally. But there was nothign to worry about and she kept the footwork up with Arthur.

Arthur looked a little bit embarrassed as he watched Zahara move his hands so they can be placed a certain way, but then again Zahara may want them there for some reason so he didn't want to argue over something like that so he paused it aside with no worry. But to her question he gave a small shrug before continuing on. "I dunno just wanted to know what you thought of him, before when we meat I introduced myself and with a serious look on his face King Jiscal knighted me right then and there and even offered me a place here in Deep Water, it's confusing really." Though it made Arthur wonder if he should take the offer? He could get away from those at the fortress and never have to see them again, but then again he has been changing slowly for the better and it seems like those he has been living with at the fortress are responsible for that; so he had to think about the deal carefully. But he smiled at Zahara as he kept on dancing with her, the both of them were synced together almost perfectly and none of them have stepped on the other's toes yet so it was all good so far.

She studied him closely and then raised an eyebrow. "Really? Well congratulations. I suppose it's a high honor or something like that to be knighted by the king..." Not that she knew. She just knew about how she became a priestess and whatnot. "Well maybe you should introduce him to me then since you have such a wonderful repore with him. What do you think?" As she kept dancing with him and moving all around the floor.

"DRINKING GAME!" The dwarf king shouted through the music, and gulped down his drink unfathomably fast, only to look at the elf who seemed to only be sipping his drink. "Com'on Finny. Drinky Down the Magical Trusting Juice. We Dwarves only Trust those who can drink their ales." HE lifted the galss and caused the poor elf to chock. THe elf did not look overly thrilled to be playing this game.
"OH, Elfy, Do you see anyone you know?" THe king asked, "Anyone who might know yee?"
Fin looked about the room, and noted Lore. "I know the Bard." He said.
"Go say hi."
"He's playing for the dancers... I like this song."
"Sappy elf stuff if you ask me. Lacks the lawful rythem of the dwarvish melody."
"A drum Line is hardly a melody."
"It is if you would listen with those big Elfy ears of yours, little elffy elf."

Arthur shrugged again at Zahara's comment and studied her as they danced, their feet never stepping outside the rhythm of the music. "Well it must be I suppose but I just don't know what to make of it, he knight me on the spot here in a ball that’s a little weird really and he was so serious about it too..." His voice trailed off as he caught a glimpse of the King sitting with his half elf wife, though his attention was quickly turned back to Zahara when she asked him if he could introduce her to the King himself. "You sure about that? My so called repore has been maybe about ten to fifteen minutes with the King." He said with a light chuckle and smiled. "But it may not be such a bad idea after all want to go see him now or do you want to continue dancing?" He asked incase his partner did not want to break away from the floor just yet.
