"Of course dear..." Emma said and before them appeared a white path with several doors against it. "I would like to see this debacle ended, and quickly."
She placed a hand against his back and guided him along the path, and to the first door. She nodded and Chris reached forward and turned the knob, and they stepped through.
They found themselves at the foot of another path with another door, but on the verge of the afternoon visit between Chris and Jennifer Walters.
Emma said, "Don't tell anyone I said this dear, but I do believe you. I believe your desire to do what's best is genuine, but this is unfortunately a necessary evil."
They walked up the path and to the last door that barred their way. Again, Chris reached forward and pushed it open, and they stepped through and into Chris's memories of the previous night. They were standing in his dorm room, watching him play his video games well into the night.
Emma turned to Chris and believe it or not, he was gifted with a smile.

Emma opened her eyes, breaking the telepathic connection between herself and Powell. She looked at Diana.
"Innocent. Mister Powell was telling the truth. Whoever it was that attacked Danielle, it was not him."
She then looked at Cassandra and Dani.
"I would hazard a guess that the both of you owe this young man one monumental apology."

*Chris stood and left the office without another word. Dani watched him go before she could even apologize the night before. She shared a sad look with Cassie. Diana leaned forward and got down to the business of who did attack Dani and attempt to steal the pannies.
Meanwhile, Chris stormed out of the Admin building. He hoped Dani and Cassie were happy now. Maybe they would believe a teacher when they refused to trust him. His stomach growled, reminding him that he hadn't eaten lunch but he needed to get to the gym and meet with Jen.*

Jen finished the last one...for today.
I did it! Her stomach roared it's annoyance. She had missed breakfast and it was starting to give her real cramps.
"Well Miss Walters, it seems that you're not needed by Ms Frost, she just sent me a message."
Jen looked up, that's right she had forgotten, Chris! Something had happened...
"Is he okay?"
Dr McCoy smiled kindly, "Perfectly inno... I mean fine. Don't worry about it, for now have a good holiday and you'll see Miss Watson tomorrow for the English and History tests."
Jen turned white, "Oh yeah my favourite."
She got up thanking Dr McCoy and checking the time, She had been in there the whole morning. Whatever had gone on with Chris she'd completely missed it all. She left the room her mind trying to figure out what it could be.

Cassie looked at Emma.
" While no one is denying Chris is innocent ... in fact we BOTH told you that before you even went into his mind. I think the more pressing issue is if Chris didn't attack Dani then who did? Because while you may seem to want to sweep this whole thing under carpet like you've done for several instances in our school the fact remains that someone attacked a girl inside her own room on campus!!!"
Cassie's patience was wearing thin. Not only because the teachers seemed to see it necessary to probe Chris even after Danielle... the one who was attacked told them that Chris was innocent. But because they were more interested in proving Chris guilty or innocent rather then taking measures to prevent such attacks happening to anyone else in the future. Or the fact that the teachers basically convicting Chris based on rumors rather then fact. Yes, Cassie and Dani did falsely accuse him before but that was different, they were the ones attacked, they saw what looked like Chris push Dani down and attempt... no Cassie wasn't even going to think about that. Cassie looked at Emma... she didn't believe them... it was obivious. Cassie picked up Diana's lasso of truth and wrapped it around her wrist making it impossible for Cassandra to lie.
" Dani WAS attacked by someone who looked like Chris last night! You guys seem more interested in claiming guilt rather then the protection of your students! You sicken me! You don't even care what we say, because apparentely we're liers or stupid kids that don't know what their talking about. Yes we're young and at many times impulsive. But none of us here are stupid! We told you the assailent didn't even refer to us by name and probably doesn't even go to this school... yet that didn't seem to matter to you. All you care about is suspending or expelling someone... and if mind probing is how you get your kicks Ms. Frost then you got some MAJOR issues.'
Cassie couldn't believe she just said that.... and Ms. Frost no less. It was obivious she was in many ways alot like Diana... but even Diana was shocked by her boldness.

*Chris paced outside the gym. It was almost time to meet Jen and Chris was mulling over a problem in his head. He HAD to get over Cassie. This was silly. How could he magically get rid of....

Chris took out his phone. Did he have Billy's number? No. So, Chris gave Teddy and call got Billy's number. Chris gave the little magic guy a call but got voicemail.*
Billy! It's Chris! I have an emergency and need your help! Save me, Billy-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!
*This was the best idea he ever had.*

It was a cold but pleasant night tonight, with the stars twinkling high in the sky as a light snow drifted down and settled on the cars and pavement that had filled the lot to capacity outside of the Convention Hall.
The crowd was just now escaping the building in a swarm, the evening concert having drawn to a close. Two of those escapees just so happen to be one Billy kaplan, mage student of Hero High, and his mom, Rebecca. (Yes she appears to be the type of mom who would insist in accompanying her son to a concert before allowing him to attend alone.)
"What's the matter?" Billy asked, looking at his mom who was rubbing her ear.
"Well that certainly was ... loud." Rebecca chuckled. "But just so long as you enjoyed it."
Billy rolled his eyes and tucked the souvenirs under his arm and said, "Well you know you could have let me come on my own. I'm a big boy now mom."
"You know what your father and I said. When you're sixteen you can go to these things alone. Until then..." She draped an arm around his shoulder. "You'll just have to be satisfied being accompanied by a beautiful woman." And she gave him a peck on the cheek.
"MOM!" Billy complained and looked around under the assumption all the 'cool kids' would have been watching. That was when he noticed the vibrating in his pocket and he pulled out his cell.
"Something wrong honey?" Rebecca asked.
"I don't know." Billy said with a frown. "It's from Chris but he never calls me. I didn't even know he had my number." He pressed the button to retrieve his voice mail and listened.Quote: Billy! It's Chris! I have an emergency and need your help! Save me, Billy-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!
"Billy honey, what is it?"
Billy answered, "Um, I think Chris is in trouble or something. He said he needs my help."
"Billy..."
Billy said, "I'll only be a little while, I swear! I'll come straight home!"
"Promise?"
"Scouts honor! I'll even try to find out if the guys are coming over for break."
"Hmm." Rebecca seemed skeptical. "Alright, but BE CAREFUL."
"Yes si-ma'am!" Billy smiled with a salute and he promptly vanished in a flash of blue sparkly light.
And reappeared directly behind Chris on the campus.
"Waddap doe?"

*Chris jumped at the sound of Billy's voice.*
DAMMIT, MAN!!!
*So...Chris wanted to ask Billy to wipe out the love he felt for Cassie. But he though the little magic lad would not like the idea. Probably come with some lame excuse about the power of love or some junk. Love had no power. If it did, Chris wouldn't be in the emotional quagmire he was.*
Now that my heart is under control again...I need a big favor. BIG. A magical favor. And you're the best magic man I know.
*He was the only magic man Chris knew... ninja *
As you know, I have been dumped. What you may not know is that I have a date to the Snow Ball. She is sweet and cool and looks like Tina Fey which is HAWT so I do not wanna mess this up!
Anywho...I need a teensy tiny spell. Zap the feelings I have for Cassie outta me please.

Billy sighed good naturedly.
"Chris, I'm the ONLY magic user you know personally, but if it's that big have you considered asking ... wait, what?"
Billy blinked in surprise, Chris's request having sunk in a few moments *after* it had just been asked.
"You want me to, what? Bibbity Bobbity Boo your love for Cassie away? Or, suppress it? Can magic even do that? I mean, I am just a freshman, remember? I mean, I guess I can't blame you, after the way that she treated you."
He frowned.
"Though I imagine it'd be a lot easier if I were to just send her to India. She'd even be sacred there."
Billy shrugged and gave a light sigh...and was it right? He gazed back to Chris and saw him looking oddly at his concert shirt.
"What?"
Billy looked down at the t that sported the logi "Clay Aiken - Out, Loud and Proud 2011 Tour." Billy coughed and put a forefinger on the t's emblem and it shifted to a t instead with AC/DC on it instead. He then tried looking as inconspicuous with Powel as humanly possible.

*Don't get distracted! He knew Billy would react like this so Chris came up with a good explanation. One he heard over and over and over....*
Never mind that. Here's the thing. I'm only fifteen. She's fourteen. What do we know about love? We're dumb kids. So you wouldn't be zapping away love but fake love. Fakove, if you will.

Billy frowned and crossed his arms over his chest and started tapping his foot.
"Chris, Achilles and Patroclus are in their teens, and what they have has been epic for over three thousand years."
He unfolded his arms and clasped his hands behind his back and he started rocking on the balls of his feet.
"Care to give it another go?"

Billy raised his hand to emphasize whatever he was going to say in response but was cut off by Chris knowing him all too well. His mouth snapped shut and he clicked his fingers.
"Aw fudge. I coulda had a lot of fun with that one."
He shrugged and took a step backward so he could face him straight.
"You're sure? Well, maybe it will be for the best and help you move on. Um...okay..."
Billy closed his eyes and started thinking. He stayed that way for a few moments when he started speaking...
"Locked in,
Boxed in, full of pain,
His love grows endless with no end to attain,
In need of reprieve,
So that he can breathe,
Remove his love, please make it leave."
Billy popped one eye open to sneak a peek at Chris as a blue light started swirling around his friend...

*The blue light swirled around Chris for a full minute before it disappeared. Bet it didn't do a damn thing, he thought. So, he gave it a test and thought about Cassie. Nice girl. Pretty. Mean of her to cheat on him but hey...they're kids, so what?*
OOO! OOO! It worked!
*Cassie kissing Wally? Meh. Cassie and Chris spending the night together? Fun! And that's it!*

Billy swallowed hard and looked around at Chris's wild laugh.
"Good grief I hope I did the right thing." He thought to himself.
"Yeah well, no problem man. Just be careful, okay? I gotta jet and say hi to Teddy before I pop back home. If Ted found out I was on campus and didn't see him he'd never forgive me."
Billy held up his hands and a glowing blue field of energy formed beneath his feet and lifted him up into the air.
"See you at the dance!" He called back as he went off to find his man.

"So, how do you think things are going with your new courses?" Mr. Banner leaned back in his chair, drumming the end of a pen lightly against his desk calendar as he watched Teddy.
"I guess. I mean, I don't think I'm failing anything, and I don't sleep as much."
"Well, not sleeping is generally always helpful."
Teddy nodded, looking down at his hands, then back up to his mentor. "Do you think I can do sports soon?"
Mr. Banner shrugged. "Well, you did pass your classes last trimester, and you somehow did really well on your math exam...which your friend had nothing to do with, correct?"
"My boyfriend?"
"Yes...Billy."
"Nope. He's not that good."
Mr. Banner snorted, then quickly hid the laugh behind a hand. Teddy could certainly say that again. "I guess it depends on you talking to the coaches and trying out for the team."
Teddy nodded, reaching up to twist one of his piercings around on his ear.
"Doing anything special for the holidays?"
"I'm going to Billy's. My mom is going to be out of town...I don't really know why, but she won't be home."
"She didn't tell you why?"
"Nope."
"Do you think it's something with your family?"
"I don't really have a lot of family or anything...just my mom."
Mr. Banner frowned. "Well, I'm sure you'll enjoy your time with the Kaplans. They're a very nice family."
"Yeah. I'm lucky I guess. Better than being alone."
The two sat in an awkward silence, and with a quick wish for a happy holiday, Bruce let his charge go, slightly worried, but thankful that he'd have a place to go for Christmas.
