Biohazard EXTREME

Well yeah, but usually the bosses drain me of my resources. That b*****d Scout leader left me with almost no health. And then Skeleton Ash left me with almost no gasoline. I got plenty of bullets, but I'm saving them for nothing in particular, I guess. So far I've pretty much been using only the axe and the chainsaw.

Yeah, it's one of those games that's a little hard to get into at first, but once you feel it out and get into the groove, it's a pretty good time. But yeah, if it wasn't Evil Dead and didn't have Bruce Campbell, nothing about it would have compelled me to stick with it. Unless I was really hankerin' for a fresh classic RE-styled game experience. But on another note: I guarantee if you start using that ammo, the deadites will start dropping more ammo for you.

Get into the groove? You mean like... Into the groove so much that it's... Groovy?

It still plays better than Martian Gothic, which is another RE clone on PS1 that I have yet to get through. That one's pretty damn sluggish. I'm gonna need to gather lots of patience for it, when the time comes.

Alright, cool, I guess I'll have to. I mean, I'm out of gas.

Totally. xd

s**t, I still have to get through Carrier. Another RE clone on the Dreamcast, that was pretty much made to wet Survial Horror enthusiasts appetites until Code Veronica dropped. And Code Veronica was sooo much better. I got halfway through it back in the day. It did have some unique little varations to the formula, though. And I remember it having some pretty cool boss fights, but it was just so painfully generic amongst other things. And it also had to do with this mutant plant virus thing, and vines and s**t would sprout from dudes necks, ripping their heads off. I remember when I first saw the plagas doing that s**t in RE4, all I could think was Carrier.

And I need to get T.R.A.G. again for PS1! Another RE-style game with voice acting so atrocious, it even puts RE1 to shame! Burns Biford could easily compete with Barry Burton. But it's awesome. I need to get that game again. Haven't played it in years. Never heard of Martain Gothic, though.

I don't know which game you're talking about. I remember playing a Dreamcast game that was like a horror shooter, with mutants and zombies and stuff... And it had a multiplayer mode where you could shoot it out with another person.

Don't you mean, so atrcious it makes RE1 seem good? lol
Martian Gothic actually has a pretty cool concept. You're on a Mars colony, and you play as 3 different characters, switching between them. And it's all about like, you find a key, you send it to another character, then that character can use it to move on. And for some reason, some plot device I can't remember, the characters can't be together in the same room, so you gotta manage it like that. And the enemies are like... Zombie ghosts or something. Like possessed zombies, as I recall.

The narrative seemed fairly good, the voice acting was a little bit cheesy but I actually think it was intentionally funny. Not hilarious, just kinda... Likable, I guess you could say.
But the characters just move around so damn slow, and the camera angle transitions take about as long as Alone in the Dark. So it's that much slower.
That's what I was actually impressed by in Evil Dead. The camera angles switch instantly, faster than Resident Evil even.

Final Fantasy XIII next Tuesday!

I'm So Excited!

Kind of annoyed by the 360 players though, because of the release of XIII on 360, PS3 users lost 20gb of story and extras. All because the white system goes redring trying to run it. Lame.

My excitement for FFXIII has simmered down a bit.

It will probably be great, but there are a few facts that I learned about it that has turned me off a bit...Some minor spoilers whited out:

1. Appearently, there's no really memorable villian in it...Well, we shall see about that. But still, that's sad to hear, seeing as how the FF series is responsible for creating some great villians...Certainly overexposed ones....

2. Only six main playable characters, and I don't like the looks of two of them: An angst filled teenage boy and another f***ing Yuffie clone (Personality wise).

and

3. Extreme linearity in the first half of the game...Ech...

But speaking of FF, I'm hoping to play IV after I beat X. IV and VI, that is. Especially VI. Scary clown = Awesome.

Anyways, the game I'm most looking foward to playing next month is God of War III...Oh wait...Pretended to be Bio there for a sec xd ...Umm, that is to say, Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon for the Wii.

It looks absolutely amazing.

Hey, Chase, if you know so much about FFXIII, would you happen to know if the main character ends up falling in love with some over feminine pretty boy? Cause if that's the case, I'm not gonna bother with it.

And yes, I am looking forward to God of War 3 very much. I tried the demo yesterday, and it kicked so much a**. The graphics are so refined.... I can't wait to play the full version.
Although I'm honestly looking MORE forward to the Dream Theater song that they recorded for GoW3, rather than the game itself.

Bio, I think the game you may be referring to was Zombie Revenge, which was a spin-off of House of the Dead.

That actually sounds pretty cool, I might check it out. I just ordered T.R.A.G online for $5 on e-bay. I never beat Parasite Eve 2 either. I should get that, too.

Maybe, I honestly don't remember much except that it was the only game I've ever played on the Dreamcast apart from Code Veronica and Mortal Kombat Gold.

Yeah, Parasite Eve 2 I got about 2 years after my friend recommended it to me. It was the time when the PS2 was out for about a year, and you could find all the best PS1 games used on sale. All the Resident Evils, about 5 copies of Silent Hill, Final Fantasies, and I just happened to see Parasite Eve 2, and I was craving for some tank controls and pre-rendered backgrounds. Needless to say, I was satisfied.

And yeah, I finished Evil Dead Hail to the King today. I gotta say, I was pretty happy with it. It was better than I thought it would be. The final boss wasn't as much of a b***h as I expected. And hell, as far as Evil Dead games go... Regeneration may be the best game technically, but Hail to the King earns some major points for being actually true Survival Horror, with tank controls, pre-rendered backgrounds, and everything. I'll definitely be replaying it with time.
Now, on to A Fistfull of Boomstick.

Nothing cheaper than something free!

In other news, I might be getting a job in a most unexpected field... Education. The art school where my mom teaches dance is looking for someone to teach computer art, graphic design, etc. And I might be considered for the position.
