3.14 Celaeno 3.14 Anybody know a good place to find a hotel? Hotel.com is kind of teh sucks. Can't help you. I usually just drive around until I find someplace with room open. That or I make sure I've got a friend who lives nearby.Eh, I'm staying in Chicago for the weekend of my birthday. We'll probably only have enough for about $50 a night. I want a place close to the venue. (I'm going to a concert the night of my birthday) I don't want to end up driving around Chicago for an hour looking for a place to park...I'd rather just walk. Plus, if I make reservations now, it'll probably be cheaper. I've stayed in chicago a couple of times. Usually I just hop over to Rosemont, which is a suberb/mini-city about ten minutes outside of Chicago, and stay at a Motel 8, which was a hundred and some odd dollars for two nights in a single and a friend and I just split the cost and slept in the same bed. They've got buses in Rosemont but I won't swear they go into Chicago (I had a car, I could drive myself into Chicago). It's right by the airport. I don't know about Chicago itself because I've NEVER seen a cheap hotel in any major city, ever.

Phoenix315 Celaeno Phoenix315 Celaeno pray for my new technology! crying *prays* whee Well, this one isn't fizzling (like the first one), it's not making everything German (like the second one, which I wouldn't have cared if it weren't for the fact that it didn't work either) and it's not telling me I "opperation not supported" like that last one. So. *prays* Woah, you have cloven feet. RJU boots? sweatdrop Yep. Only work's with the 90's pants, otherwise you can see the orange. Now I have cloven hooves to match my horns, fork and claws. Wish the pants came in white though.

Mind you, they were both seedy places, but hell... when you're low on cash, you're just glad there's a bed and a lock on the door. wink

Zelyhon Chibi Baka 3.14 Chromefox 3.14 ...why!? Why would you spend 5k on Gaia!? You could buy a new car! gonk You saw that too, eh? I saw a thing on LJ about it. I don't care how much it is helping Gaia...I think it is stupid. Even if she IS rich, give it to some starving children! It just hurts my brain. Mine too. And me. there are so many other things I'd do with $5000 bucks. I know what I'd do with five thousand dollars... Giddy Giddy Giddy!

I found a decent room for about $100 a night. We're going to be not exactly DOWNTOWN but, right by Wrigley Feild. I HATE downtown Chicago. I don't know if you know much about the venues around there, but we're going to the Aragon Ballroom.

Malaryush Kinetic Dream Streamjumper Chromefox: Its not a regular occurance. Its just that when you have a bunch of strong-willed people together sometimes they butt heads a little. We've survived for almost a year now with only a few real arguments... that should say something. Usually the arguements are simply passed over and people just pack up and leave. But, every once in a while there is a lot of drama. It usually doesn't result in people leaving, I can only recall two or three instances in AS history where that's happened. And it's white because if people don't care they shouldn't highlight it... stare xP *doesn't care* cool *highlights anyway...because she's a rebel!* xd heart

I think I'm going to ask my parents to get the hotel for me for my birthday. I'm sure they'll love the idea of getting me and my boyfriend a hotel for the weekend. xp

I just don't want to end up spending $300+ on the hotel. I have other things to buy/do! xp
