Or Last Night on Earth. Or when i think about it, it might even not have been any zombie game, but CoC-based like Arkham Horror or Mansions of Madness.... cat_xd

Vikki Stardust Oh I hated that game. It was like Space Hulk (according to the bloke who sold it to us), but nowhere near as fun and easy. gonk Ow, bad comparison. Just as bad as comparing Space Hulk: Tactics (the latest comp/console version of the boardgame) with X-com or Inquisitor: Martyr with Diablo. Sure, there are notable similarities, but also huge differences. Speaking of which, Space Hulk Tactics is very much like the actual boardgame, with a built-in campaign with occasional things that can get discovered, and some different routes that can be taken, affecting the storyline ... at least that is my impression. The missions may seem too easy at first, but they're said to get harder (and the genestealers more aggressive) as one gets further in.

Tiina Brown So, anything happening? ...Well i'm still trying to work on my own miniature game rules, but my lack of connection to potentially interested people has discouraged me severely. By the way, it is SpaceHulk - inspired in the combat system. Current version: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xCSk5tNBK64LTfrbhsBtA3P9acMOM1fCICdbRNrj9Is/edit Yeah I imagine it's pretty difficult at the moment. There seems to be a lot of flux in the market, and new games coming out regularly. I can't much comment directly. Rules have never been my strong point.

Marcus McFlufferson Yeah I imagine it's pretty difficult at the moment. There seems to be a lot of flux in the market, and new games coming out regularly. I can't much comment directly. Rules have never been my strong point. It's not simply the market, it is a mass of potential player's seeming reluctance to try, like, just ANYTHING new, and my system(or systems), no matter how brilliant i claim it(or them) to be, the fact that it is free seem to not affect at all, they at best tend to say "Oh, it is unfinished? Tell me when it is, and i may check it out" or "Oh, you're not selling it?"as if that is a bad thing! ... And if constant new editions and expansions of games has taught us anything, it is that No Game is ever "finished" unless they are deliberately limited. And if i WERE selling it, then it would drown in the "market". ...I still think the idea behind the system (fast play) is brilliant.

You say that like the "market" isn't real lols
I haven't known many people interested specifically and only in rule systems. There's usually the rest of the 'game' that comes with it. i.e the minis.
I know they exist, but in my experience they're few and far between.

Marcus McFlufferson Holy Bubbles it's like everyone is coming back at the same time! No joke! No posts since January, saw a youtube video about "the rise and fall of Gaia Online" and thought I'd peek in. Been pretty busy with work and constant moving, but good overall. How about y'all?

I've heard some rumours of a video. There was something on the forum pages about how it's attracting people back. I still haven't seen it. Pretty good. Gave up the commission painting and went back to Uni. Final year now. Still doing the building on the side. Recently dragged some Skaven back out from storage to gave AoS a go. How's the fam?

There's usually the rest of the 'game' that comes with it. i.e the minis. I know they exist, but in my experience they're few and far between. Well, it is both real and required, it is just overcrowded by heartbreakers and near-copies of other gaming systems, but i have yet to find a game with rules ... except for my own ... which is inspired by Space Hulk and the original Advanced Space Crusade, that is that each attack is one roll which is either high enough to wound or not, with no extra separate hit-wound-save rolls. Well technically, you can play 40k, Necromunda, AoS, or any miniature game, really, with LEGO, cardboard "miniatures" or even tokens, but the miniatures do add a visual nicety, as well as two more aspect to the gaming hobby(collecting and painting/converting).
