Pink, pink...I can't remember that I've ever needed to say "pink" in Japanese. gonk A lot of the time it's Americanized and just called "pinku." I think it might actually be sakurairo (literally "cherry blossom color," like one variation of blue is "mizuiro" or "water color").

Oh, Meri...? Um, how much of a pain would it be to recolor the colored portion of the Chinese Robes costume? You know, the red and gold? sweatdrop

Kari: No updates~
Konami: A light to moderate pain. It still falls within the 100 gold additional cost. *hee* The recolors that cause me pain are the pure black or white items, or ones that involve an extreme light-to-dark or dark-to-light shift.

I guess it relates to that study that words are readable as long as the first and last letter are in place... sweatdrop

Konami: Recoloring the wedding dresses to a pastel shade is easy. Recoloring them to a dark hue requires a fair amount of touch-up work to make it look decent. Also, most of the newer items were created with a bit more thinking ahead. ^^; I've kept most pieces on separate layers so that recoloring certain parts would be easier.
For instance, the Chinese Goddess robe is all one layer. If someone wants me to recolor the red to light green and the white to a more yellowish hue and the gold to dark green, it takes a lot of time. I basically have to repaint everything with a 1-pixel airbrush, because the shadows and highlights usually don't translate very well during color shifts, and global colorizing makes things a bit muddy or oversaturated. ^^; The Chinese Goddess edit is also an old one where I painted instead of pixelled. That means that the borders for each piece, both inside and outside, are messy and bleed into other pieces, which makes quick recoloring pretty much impossible to make decent-looking.
It would take me 20 minutes. :p
If someone wanted me to take the Belle Winter Gown edit and change the fur to tan, the cloak to dark brown, the dress to dark green, and the dress trim to gold, however, that would be easy. Everything has been saved on a separate layer, so I just go to each layer and force a color change that only affects that one piece. Voila.
2 minutes tops.

Oh, wow. I can't even imagine doing an edit without layers. @_@;; Hmm...maybe I shouldn't order a recolor of the robes, then. sweatdrop
I knew you worked hard, but I really had no idea. *thinks about her last order* Eeep. eek I'm so sorry!
