Kairi and Dante would walk in just a few short moments after Sub was doused in pink. They were just on their way to the training room, but, after what they saw, the two of them stopped to stare at their esteemed leader. Kairi had to cover her mouth to help stifle her laughter, and Dante just looked puzzled for a moment. Letting Nina crawl out of his arms and up onto his shoulder, the blue-haired boy walked towards Sub and around him a couple times. One hand on his chin. Finally stopping right in front of him, Dante smirked. "Y'know Sub... Pink really suits you. You should try wearing it more often," he finally said, smiling slightly. He was being completely serious, though, he was aware that Sub hated the color.
Kairi couldn't stifle her laughter any longer after that, nearly doubling over she was laughing so hard. "You think he should wear more pink, Dee? I think he's wearing a tad too much right now," she said, still laughing. Malice, a little afraid of getting squished with the way her trainer was doubled over at the moment, decided to jump down to the floor to tand by Kairi's feet. "What happened Sub? My sister attack you again?" Another wave of laughter came from the girl at her questions. Her Bagon stared up at her, questioning her trainer's sanity.
Dante stared at Kairi, dumbfounded. His pierced eyebrow raising slightly as he began to question the girl. "You okay there Kay?" Dante asked, legitimately afraid for her. He had never seen her like this, and, well... It was just a little scary.

A loud thump would echo out from the open vent entrance before the one next to it began to bend. Finally giving way from the impact, a small blonde girl bounced off the floor and just simply...stared at the oddest sound she had ever heard in her life. She knew it was possible for her to appear this human-like, but Kairi laughing was the strangest noise she had ever heard. Hoping her sudden reappearance would not warrant an attack by her victim of choice, Leslie continued to stare, dumbstruck at the fact that Kairi could actually laugh.

"Yes." Was all Sub said to Kairi, a glare on his face as he stomped up stairs towards the bathroom, in complete silence, it was plain to see, he was not happy, not in the least.

Kairi stopped laughing then and straightened herself, watching carefully as Sub left. After a few moments, Kairi turned to look at her sister. Malice, still standing at Kairi's feet, glared up at the blonde girl for reasons unknown. The redheaded girl happened to notice the expression on Malice's face, and nudged the young dragon with one foot, causing the Bagon to growl at her, earning a one-eyed glare in response. "Might I ask what you were thinking in covering Sub in pink, Blondie?" Kairi growled, her uncovered eye closing as she spoke. All hint of laughter was gone now, and a hint of annoyance crept into her voice.
Dante, seeing where this was headed now, came up behind Kairi and put one hand on her shoulder. "C'mon Kairi, don't worry about it. Let's just go and train like we were going to," he said calmly. Kairi said nothing in response, still eyeing her sister, waiting for the blonde to answer her.

I sat in the living room, thinking for a bit. It was pretty apparent that something weighed heavily on my mind; in fact, it was a bit of a burden on me for the past few days now. As I sat in the living room and rubbed Torchic's head to the point of falling asleep to massage like comfort, I thought back to Tails. Part of me wished I could have caught this sooner, but how could I have known? And I still have the feeling the fox kid still isn't. I wish I could get him to talk to me...
God, being a parent is hard...suddenly I realize what my teacher went through with me.

As Jude passed through with a cup of tea, he slowed to watch Blizz. Poor guy seemed like the weight of the world was on him. Or, more likely, the weight of the problems of one of the kiddos. "Blizzy, if the air were any heavier here, I think we'd have our own black hole."

Or, more likely, the weight of the problems of one of the kiddos. "Blizzy, if the air were any heavier here, I think we'd have our own black hole." I looked up, rather quickly at that. I was so distracted that I made myself a hypocrite to what I said to Jude a week or so ago about being always alert, and realized it immediately. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't even pay attention to my senses. I grimaced a little then looked back at Jude. "Hey...eh, sorry, just...my mind was elsewhere." I said.

"I can tell," said Jude, and he sat down on one of the nearby chairs. While Blizz's senses might have been calibrated to hybrids and channelers, it didn't help that Jude barely counted as either. "Private thoughts? You seem like a private guy and all."

"It depends, really." I said, rubbing the back of my head. With me jerking so suddenly and no longer rubbing the Torchic, the tiny chick woke up and looked up. "Tor?" The little fire type looked around and saw the new person in the room and of course, as most youngsters tend to be, got curious It walked away from me, trying to make his way over towards Jude. "Chiiick?" "I'm sort of in a position where I don't even know what to do. I'm probably worrying way too much over this, but well...bah..." I rubbed my eyes.

Jude, very definitely not a predator, lowered his free hand and wiggled his fingers at the little Pokemon. "Feel like talking about it?" he said. "They say an outsider's view can help someone who's too close to the situation to see the big picture."

"They say an outsider's view can help someone who's too close to the situation to see the big picture." Do I really want to trust Jude with my problems? Most of the people here I couldn't trust like that...I took such things seriously. Perhaps Jude is right though... "Its Tails." I said. "He's hiding a bigger picture from me...I don't know how to get to the point of it all unless I give you the lo-down with him. That whole story that I mentioned to you a while back? The one where it ended with me seeking out to shut someone down permanantly? It's a bit of a long story...I would imagine you got a bit of time?" I asked. The Torchic finally made it to Jude and looked up at him. A really fluffy creature...just like Tails. Maybe that meant he was warm like him too?

"Ah, Tails," Jude said, and he leaned down to offer his hand as a platform to the Torchic. "I saw him trying to build a bog outside. Poor kid. This winter weather just isn't for him. But go on, hm? I just got out of a bath, I have this fresh tea here, and I might as well learn something about that silly boy if he keeps teasing me like he does."

The chick jumped up upon the hand, waiting to be brought up. "Well, Tails...is like me in the sense that he too wasn't always a hybrid. Unlike me, however, he...originally was all Pokemon." I said to him. "He was a Vulpix born in the Orre region; one that a scientist picked out of a den and brought back to a laboratory out in the middle of that dustbowl." I shifted in my seat, getting back more confortable. "The scientist's name was Ein...a b*****d that saw no evil in what he did. It was all in the name of science, running on a skewed inspiration that was inavertingly endowed by Miles, who was Ein's teacher. Ein, in a way, was a loose end that Miles didn't tie up, because Miles too committed a ungodly act, a failed one that costed the life of a Ninetales he virtually called mother, but immediately regretted it. The act, or rather experiment, that led to 'successes' such as Tails by Ein's hands." I started to explain.

Jude lifted the Torchic to his lap, and crossed his legs to make a nested space for it. Now Tails' quirks began to make sense. To think that this Miles guy had even the slightest thing to do with the kid's background... "Small world," he said. "If Miles as, um... accomplished? As everyone says though, it reminds me of a bit of Feng Shui I learned. So does all this chi stuff you guys talk about."

As everyone says though, it reminds me of a bit of Feng Shui I learned. So does all this chi stuff you guys talk about." "It has been the name of the game for the most part ever since meeting Miles, to be all honest. I was just as naive to it as you were before I met him. At any rate..." The Torchic nestled up and sat, getting comfortable itself. Jude wasn't as warm as Tails...but still as soft. So at least there's that. Soft enough at least where it warranted a nap. "Torrr..." "Unfortunately for Tails, Ein tossed Tails out like garbage when they figured they couldn't get any more of whatever data they were looking for out of him. As such, to cover their tracks, they wiped his mind and tossed him out, leaving him to his own devices in the Orre region, leaving him completely unaware to as to who or what he is, where he came from, and so on. He ended up a scavenger as well as, well...simply put, an orphan, for ten months before I found him in the Johto region, near the Lake of Rage." I told him. "Since that day, everything for me and Tails was turned completely upside down and inside out. I eventually learned of Tails's origins, and one thing lead to another, the eventual demise of Ein, which took over a year after finding out his existence. I kind of got Sub to thank about that in the end." "Regardless, it what leads me to my problem now." I then explained. "Tails recently started to have his memories come back to him; well...they been coming back, little by little, and before now it didn't necessarily bother him. Now it is, only in a fashion that he's not letting on to me completely. Tails made the mention about having to live like the Pokemon in the lab, I'm guessing to honor their lives and such, but he's not telling me the whole story, I don't imagine, and he makes it apparent. The only reason why I haven't pressed into the subject any further is because of advice I just recently got from Miles in the letters I get from him. He was telling me that there was going to be times where I wouldn't be able to have my way all the time with Tails, but that said, it isn't as catastrophic as it sounds and that I should just keep reminding Tails that I am here for him. Thing of it, what gets me worried is that Sub is doing...something...I don't know. I don't know what path got Tails on and that's worrying me, because I've been here long enough to know just how much of a crazy tangent Sub can very well go on." I said. "Furthermore, it bothers me not knowing what is eating at Tails? Is he fearing that I wouldn't, let alone don't understand? What is there to understand? Is he feeling guilty that he's alive, and compared to the Pokemon in the lab, even comparing to those that are still alive from that lab, however few there are, he gets off easier than them because he can still live a life?" I asked. "I don't know. This...this is what's bothering me so, and I can't stand it."
