Tiina Brown Lady Blodwynn Tiina Brown I have put up part of my work on a Space Hulk - inspired boardgame project on Google Docs, and is now waiting for the right time to make it available for others to read and perhaps comment on. Do share! surprised Well, it is a work in progress still, i have yet to add all required stats, but just ask if something is unclear. Also, even though it is inspired by wh40k and may use miniatures established by it, the world in the game is nearly "the opposite" to wh40k in how it handles the reasons for fighting. Goes to show how swamped by work I am, didn't even know about the weekender. sweatdrop I am quite surprised with this one: That they'd do more vehicles for the Solar Auxilia range is quite surprising. Here's hoping that they'll do Iraton MaSade as well at some point. Finally Dorn and Alpharius! Retro Land Speeder, Termite assault drill (wuuuuut?) and the Mole as well, they are really dropping the nostalgia bombs these days. burning_eyes

Having finally had a chance to read the Custodes codex I can only say that it's one of those armies that looks cool on paper (Everything has a 2+ save, WS/BS 2+ etc.) but is an arse to get to play right, depending on the mission and what your opponent brings. Yes, every model has godlike stats and equipment on par with most HQ's out there, but when a basic model costs 40pts without any weapons, you know you got a special case on your hands. A Custodes with Guardian Spear and Misercordia (a power sword that gives +1 attack, so auto-include) is 56pts.. Another painfully obvious thing is that the army is low on mobility, with a 400pt Land Raider being your only transport and one that can only carry five regular models. It's not that hard to build a 2500pts army, but in my case, you'll end up with an army that's 21 models strong and has to use the patrol detachment chart, oops. sweatdrop To top it all off, this is one of those armies that needs CP's, but well.. good luck getting a lot of those, not unless you run loads of small and cheap squads, or spam a certain chart.
