Torment glared at Sato, making a bit of an annoyed noise as he looked back to Cora, "Hmm...seems we made a bit of a mess. I'll clean up the corks, seeing as I've got the bag." And he set to doing just that.

::Sato began to rummage through the assorted alcohol::
That how you two get your kicks? Throwing s**t at eachother? Or is that supposed to be some sort of training? If so, I suggest using one cork. It looks pretty ******** pathetic when you miss with a whole handful

On the contrary, Sato... :::Cora said kneeling, beginning to gather the corks as well::: It makes me train harder.

Torment nodded slightly, "Indeed, besides, who in the hell would try and hit someone with corks? What was that old saying about assuming things...?"

::Sato pulled out a bottle of blue liquid::
******** if I know. I really look like a scholar to you? Hell, guess I'm missing something. You're just standing still there goldilocks. He training you not to be afraid of corks?

:::She looked at Sato:::
No... I'm practicing a skill inherent to the Brink, and to me. :::She sees the empty bottle of wine still sitting on the bar where Sato was taking out the blue beverage:::
If you throw that wine bottle at me, I'll show you too.

Tor stood up to watch, and blinked out rather abruptly, dropping the bag of corks he had collected.

:::But Cora is distracted by Torment fading, and she pauses the bag juuust before it hits the floor and goes spilling. She plucked it from the air, and continued to pick up the rest of the corks:::
Very well.

Not quite, cupcake. I was instead insinuating I'd rather not start a bar fight without cause. At least not while I was sober. How the ******** hell do you do that, anyway?

I've been training to be able to stop time around objects. If I do one object at a time, I'm capable of stoping something the size of that table over there. :::She points behind her:::
But multiple objects at once take a greater range of concentration, not to mention extra functionality like conserving concentration by releasing objects that have lost their momentum. But that in itself requires an extra spike of thought, though the reliefe is worth the effort....
That is why he was throwing corks at me.

What velocity can you stop and object at? I mean.. can you stop a blaster bolt?

I'm not sure what kind of velocity a blaster bolt has, but I've been capable of stopping things the mass of myself, at least, going at a rate of 30 m/s^2.
:::this is three times the speed of gravity:::
Though I am capable of stopping smaller objects at much faster rates, I've been able to test for that. There seems to be an intersting curve of size to speed in my capacity to slow time. It has everything to do with the speed...not so much the mass though, just surface area.
