Dominic goes home, all ready for a nap, only to discover, to his surprise, that his mom is there and sober. Not a good thing when you have a black eye and just got suspended from school -- again.

Dominic's mom predictably grounds him, but far-less-predictably announces that they're going to Japan that Wednesday, and for an indeterminate amount of time. After supper, Dom totally sneaks out to go visit Billy.

Dominic just goes right in, and looks around the house for Billy, eventually finding him in the living room, "Hey."

Dom goes and sits next to Billy. He can't think of any tactful way to bring up the subject, so he just kind of blurts it out, "Mom's dragging me to Japan Wednesday."

Dominic sighs, "She wants to go visit dad. I don't know what she thinks that'll accomplish... but I know it won't accomplish anything. She wouldn't even tell me how long she wanted to drag me there for. I'd try and argue more, but, well, she's not very happy with me since I got suspended from school today."
