One thing I noticed long ago, but Jagex stopped with it seems, is:
If you look at rune armor and below. They have two colors. Well, a lighter and a darker shade of whatever color the armor is. Let's look at the plate, legs and skirt. The plates and skirt are mostly light color, with some darker. Darker shoulder plates, and darker... Fringes things in the skirt. The legs, however, are mostly dark, but have lighter colored knees and... Diaper areas.
rofl On dragon, for legs and skirt, this color scheme is reversed. The skirt is mostly dark, and seems to be the only one with that dark prominant color. The plate's color is of one shade, instead of two. In fact, all of the other dragon items seem to just have that lighter shade.
Makes me think that they were going to make the dragon items opposite in color scheme from the other metals, but decided against it later. Maybe after seeing that they had lighter colored weapons... I don't know. It's just something funny, I think. I don't really remember though, but before they changed the d chain, was it not a darker shade? I kinda remember it being so, which made me think that if a plate were to ever be released, it would be darker too, matching more with the skirt than the legs. Just like how they match more with the skirt than the legs with the other metals.
