King Jiscal frowned, but knew better than to argue with drow on the point of decency in public. He shoke his head gently, finding Naga to be most amuzing physically and personality wise.

The Izlude the Archmagus of Dragnon arrived, and most ellogently said his welcoming speech. It went on and on about how wonderful Deep Water had become since Jiscal had taken the throne. He seemed very pleased with the reformation of the society that was slowly taking place. Then the Archmagus performed a cantrip, one that Jiscal recognized, and spoke a profocy about the first son of Jiscal. It was pleasent enough, so Jiscal made a very impressed expression. Izlude sat in his allocated spot, and did so rather politely.

Owain, Rig, Odila, Kalam, and Demerrage (Riders of the Dragon Armada) arrived together. Dressed in some of their finest armour, with shirt sailors dirks at their hips. The traveld in standard arrowhead fashion, seperating themselves enough to be greeted individually without creating discomfort for those who did the greeting, or followed behind. They held stiff faces, though kind enough. They greeted Gil most warmly, for they considered him a fellow warrior, and one of some note. The king and queen were presented with small gifts from the dragons, who were too large to attend. Dragon's blood jewels and ground scales and claws for the queen, and elegant scale sur coat for the King.

They did not sit imidiatly, but would stand behind King Jiscal respectivly, until the other seats were taken by those more important to this ball.

Zahara put her hands on her hips only to realize there was not much difference between her hips and her belly. Her eyes narrowed into a glare, "What was that 'whatever,' huh? Looking good is not going to get you hurt here, get it through your thick head." She yanked his hand away from fidgeting with his clothes and eyed Nym. "You know what, give him to me, I'm so fat he can sit on my fat stomach and sleep there." Tugging at his cape she smoothed out the wrinkles he had made. Standing in front of him, she ran her hands from his chest down his stomach, fixing his clothes even more. Then she grabbed his hand and pulled him out the door and all the way to the main sitting room.

Jiscal was impressed with the Riders of the Dragon Armada. They had aided him before in taming a weld dragon, and now graced him with gifts and honours. He noted that they were wearing armour, but decided against saying anything about it. He knew that some people could not get out of their armour, he knew one of those people quite well actually. He thanked them and felt a bit more secure with their physical presence behind him.

"Oh, My gracious King, It is so good to see you!" A large and oftly round woman said as she thundered, as there is no other way to describ it, into the Hall. Jiscal's aunt Bertha had a very pompus voice, and a very loud personality. Eating was loud, breathing was loud, sing was loud.

Jiscal felt a sudden fear at that moment that Bertha would insist on singing tonight. That would make the elves cringe in fear and pain. He did not want to allow her the option, but alas missed his oppertunity to say so when Bertha turned her attention to the Riders of the Dragon Armada.

"Oh, what fine young men you have there, Your magesty." Her arrogant voice struck deep into the hearts of those around her. "Why don't you have them come by my house after this box social for a real shindig."

The King quivered, but since he had done so so frequently since meeting Tarathiel, no one noticed.

Arthur sighed a little as he waited in the main sitting room, he was the first one to arrive and has been waiting for the others to show up. Arthur took a deep breath and let it out and looked around the place as his fingers tapped his knee lightly, he was nervous of this ball they were going too and wondered who he'll be meeting once they were there. The young elf's ears twitched to the sound of people coming his way and noticed it was Zahara followed by Sevilin and his pet ferret Nym. Arthur smiled lightly and said. "Hello Zahara and Sevilin." In a nice cheerful voice as he looked at the both of them, they looked really good for the ball and his light smile showed how he appreciated both of their styles. "You guys ready to go?" He asked as he stuffed his hands into his coat pockets.

Odila frowned, but made no move to mention that she was a women, not a man. Nobles did not like to be corrected. Futunately for the five of them, their dragons had asked for their swift return after the ball. Demerrage looked at Kalam, who nodded. They had one goal tonight: keep Rig away from the wine otherwise he'd follow Bertha home.

"Ah ha!" Said a deep, drawling voice as Laurence followed close behind Bertha. "If it isn't my favorite um...relation!" The relation was there with King Jiscal, but this man was so old that no one could remeber what it was. He grabbed the king's hand and did not stop shaking it. He was dressed in an old gernerals uniform, a little baggy on his skinny, tall frame. Buck teeth and a monicle graced his face, which was mostly nose. "You know this reminds me of the great ball of eighty-two! Ahh, ahh! Why, my wife had been alive then and I was young and just awarded my first..." And so on.

There she was doing again, commenting on his looks...well she could call him good looking all she wanted, long as it didn't lead to something that he wasn't going to like or rather someone. Too many possibilities in his head for things to go wrong because of those damned looks he had gained from his father. Though his attention shifted to her one more when he felt her hands press to his front, smoothing down apparent wrinkles that she saw there. What wrinkles? There was no point in that...his clothes would wrinkle as he walked anyway...

Merely letting her pull him out of the room and frowning lightly as she continued on her 'I'm fat' rant. Another roll of his eyes...she was really hooked on this wasn't she? What did she want him to do? Agree with her? That was like asking her to stab him in the face...he wasn't that stupid to agree with her. Thus he retained his silence on the issue. "He'll be hiding down my top soon enough...and you have not enough fabric to hid him..."

But as they came upon the sitting room, it seemed that Arthur was there...and fancy...and mentioning going as well. Wait...he was going? Which got translated into a raised eyebrow. No really...Malik was allowing him to go? What with all the 'flaws' both elder elves saw in the younger human raised one...he'd never understand what happened in this place. Not that he cared much... "Looks like it. Seems...you are too...."

Zeranda felt lucky that her only know family members were all dead. She was deafly afraid of what they would be like had they decided to come. She giggled at her husbands misfortune. It was little moments like this that made her appriciate him.

Jiscal smiled and listen half-heartedly. He honestly did not know what 'eighty two' actually meant, let along, why his 'uncle' Laurence was even invited. The king guessed that Laurence was simply invited to every occassion because he was probably the one person everyone knew, and was related to. "My Good mentor," A good way to avoid the issue of that relation, "I do enjoy our discussions of the past, but alas, I must continue to great other guests. When I make the rounds, I will be sure to visit you promptly." Actually, that did not sound to bad. Everyone would understand why he had not talked to them, for he was still listening to the ramblings of everyone's 'favorite' relation.
"Please, do be seated by that young elf woman by the buffet." He lead his uncle towards Naga.

Laurence changed from talking to Jiscal to talking to Naga without missing a beat, and not bothering to change stories. His small, mostly closed eyes did not regester that she was drow. Naga, after about two seconds of listening to Laurence, got a sleepy look in her eye and wavered where she stood, as if sleep walking. Half a pickle pocking out of her mouth.

Usha was already in the room, gone a little unnoticed, since no one relaly knew who she was and she did not enter through the main doors. She was dressed in the green and silver that she had asked for, and Jiscal and provided. She was eager and on dancing toes to see her brother again.

A tiny man in a top hat, shirt tails, and cane scampered his way in, a tall blond women in a red dress following slightly behind. He held his nose in the air and had a habit of looking down at you, altohugh that usually meant he was staring at your feet. "This is it, Emilia, I supoooose." He seemed unimpressed. The blond giggled. The only thing in her head was teeth. His greeting to Jiscal was a snort and a comment on Dimitri's favor of Tax reductions for the higher classes.

Ok, so the wrinkles were the one's on his chest that she imagined she saw through his clothing. That's beside the point. She noticed the roll of his eyes and just continued, "I never have enough fabric to hide him, and I don't plan on changing that just because you made me fat." Her complaining momentarily stopped when she saw Arthur. She blinked, smiled just slightly, completely forgot about Sevilin, and walked up to Arthur feeling like playing. "Galesen," Brushing some of his hair around with her fingers she leaned in close. "You look good, but I didn't know you were coming along with the ride. This night may be entertaining after all." Then, molding her stomach with her hands she asked, "Do I look fat? I mean look at this extra skin."

Another blue blood... Jiscal thought but would not say, Taxes would be lower if people would actually pay them.

"Welcome, Why don't you have a seat and enjoy the food." Jiscal really did not have anything to say to this man.

Zeranda looked at the girl and vaguely remembered owning her. "Emilia." Was all she said.

A cough from behind had those two shuffled off, a large set man, with a monocle and his escort, another of Dagger's girls, puffed out his chest, which hardly needed puffing, and rubbed his big walrus whiskers. "Good Day, Good Sir. Tis a lovely aftertide, and time to talk of many things, worthy of commoners and kings." The man coughed a few more times before waddling up to the King to shake hands. Walrus' hands smelt of oysters.

"Certainly." Jiscal replied, "Do enjoy the buffet."

"Miss Carpenter, do mind your language." Zeranda said before allowing the pair to leave.

"A Walrus and a Carpenter." Jiscal muttered, "What an odd pairing."

Arthur blinked a few times as he watched both Sevilin and Zahara, it seemed at Sevy was a bit shocked that he was coming along, no surprise there really after all Arthur has done here in the fortress the young surface elf would even question why he was coming too. "Yeah I am, I had a strong feeling Piper would invite the both of you to come along as well..." his voice trailed off at the sight of Zahara walking over towards him and his light smile turned into a small tiny grin, though his ears twitched at the sound of his elven name and a small shiver ran through out his body, he wasn't use to hearing it yet. His grin widen just a little bit when he felt the drow touch his hair and moved it around a little bit, her fingers were so smooth. When she leaned in close he felt a little bit nervous, the only time he ever gotten this close was when she kissed him, and when his eyes looked at those lips the memory of that one kiss flashed through his mind. He chuckled nervously at her comment and blushed a little as he watched her eyes, then when she commented about her stomach he looked down towards it and paused as he watched her hands molding on top of it. He blinked a little bit then turned his attention back to those beautiful eyes of hers and smiled. "You don't look fat, in fact I think you look beautiful tonight Zahara..." His voice trailed off as he took one of her hands and kissed it lightly then looked back at her with a small grin. "You'll always look beautiful remember that."

Emilia didn't recognize Dagger. Never had, actually. She just giggled and waved.

A bear of a man, no seriously, a man with a bear's head came in. Naga shook his hand after he greeted Jiscal. "Barnibus! Still cursed?"

"Alas, I have felt the cravings for nothing but salmon and berries these past two moons. I fear I will be foerever under such a spell." Then he grunted.

"Too bad salmon went extinc with the surface world."

"It has been a hungry two moons."

The crowd silenced as the most well known Admiral, and also the only known Captain to survive the coup, Zhap Brandygan walked into the room with his assistant Kyp. "Why, Hello your Magesty. I am Zhap Brandygan, founder of Brandygan's Law. What is that Law again Kyp?"

Kyp sighed, "Do not interfere with the fishermen."

"That right, because if we interfere with the fishermen, the consequences would be unfathmable."

"Unfathomable, Sir." The helper said in resigned defeat.

"What Kyp said." Brandygan said.

"Please, take your seat." Jiscal said with resounding appeal.

"Most certainly." The Admiral winked at Zeranda, and took a seat near Naga.
