I... I'm sorry. What was that second option?

Torment laughed at her responce, "Cora, you might want to make me a sign that you can wear that proclaims that one shouldn't use terms from their world around you. The second option basically entails getting really, really drunk. So drunk that you kinda don't even know whats going on anymore. I'd bet you could go somewhere in the range of 50 times longer than me if we started downing shots."

Uhm... no I don't particularly wish to be drunk at the moment. Do you..?
:::She poured wine for herself, and waiting for a response from Torment to see if she should pour some for him too:::

Torment chuckled a bit and held up a hand, declining, "Nay, I'm not much for drinking. At all. Much less here. As I said, is there anything else you'd prefer to talk about, I'm all ears for polite conversation."

Mmm...
:::She sipped her wine. Cora had never been asked to change a subject before, but it seemed easy enough:::
I've been practicing my Brink ability...would you care to see?

Torment perked up at the mention of such, he'd always had a certain fascination with the mysteries of the Brink, "Actually, I would rather like that."

Right then. :::she nodded, and ducked under the bar. She pulled out a bag of corks, apparently she'd been saving them. There had to be half a shopping back full of them:::
:::She walked around the bar and handed them to Torment:::
Walk about 15 feet away from me, and throw these at me. As rappidly as you feel comfortable.

Torment took the bag, looking only a bit puzzled, but he complied. He stepped back to an approprate distance as she had described. He poked around inside the bag and pulled out a single cork and chucked it at her, just one so far.

:::She barely flinched her face, and stopped it dead about a foot from her, then almost immidiately released it from its grasp. It's momentum gone, it fell to the floor:::

Torment nodded, "Interesting indeed. How about this?" He reached in and produced a handful, and chucked them at her as if the combined group of corks were a baseball, albeit not a very fast or cohesive one.

:::She scrunched her face this time, and focused on the hand full as individuals, like picking them off. One stopped and fell about 8 feet away, then another at 7 and a half, 7 feet, 6.7... on and all until the clump of about 10 or so were a trail on the floor, stopping about a foot from her:::
:::Cora didn't appear phased... until she noticed someone else in the room. She looked over, but didn't say anythign just yet:::

Torment nodded again, and was about to throw the entire bag, without the bag itself, that is, but stopped short when Cora looked over to Sato. He cocked a brow at her, "Well isn't that delightful." Then he threw the corks anyway, not exactly looking at Cora as he did.

::Sato looked over to Torment::
Huh. Looks like your throwing arm could use some practice, Chuckles.
::Sato stretched and started walking over to the bar::

Mm? :::Cora looked over to see what Sato was talking about, and realized that more Corks were coming at her. Split secondly, she started picking off the closest ones, rapid fire, not bothering with the ones that were behind because they were going to fall quite short of her anyway. The ones that did reach her bounced lazilly off her thighs and knees. She released the few that she didnt have time to concentrate on letting go:::
:::ssiiiighh::::
:::She took a breathe, recovering from that one:::
