I'm jam-packed for socializing this month. This friday is a Great Big Sea concert (in BLOOMINGTON, of all places) the week after is a fighting event, and two weeks after that is another concert, this one the Israeli Ethnic Ensemble, which I'm seeing with a bunch of bellydancers.
It's like I woke up and got a life all of a sudden.

JW's: 1 LDS: 0
The JW's have actually brought some of their books on their theology and given them to me. I've been asking for a copy of the D&C for YEARS now.

Hooray for Farmer's Markets. Fresh apple cider with no preservatives? Freshly made hummus? Quail? HELL YES.
I have also managed to obtain a copy of the New Testament. Another book in my growing religion bookshelf. ninja

perhaps some of you are already aware, but Amber & Jet has decided to close their seeker's list. just thought i'd pop in and say just in case you attempt to refer to people to it.
i think now they are just going for basic introductions... just post a "hey, here's who i am, this is where i'm from, can i get any help?"-esque sort of thing and one should be okay.

More jam making. Another four batches of peach and cloves, and then I think I have enough fruit for two some sort of berry- strawberry.
Don't know what they are, since we got them home grown from the neighbours and I haven't been able to try one yet since they're still thawing. He said they were black berries, my sister for some reason thinks they're mulberries, but looking at them, they look like black raspberries to me. Don't know if I'm adding a spice to that one yet, though if anyone has any suggestions...

'black raspberry'? most likely a blackberry or boysenberry, both are delicious, they grow wild in my parent's backyard.

After tasting it I'm almost sure it's rubus occidentalis, the black raspberry, since it's very dark red near black in in colour and tastes neither like a red raspberry or a blackberry, which is a characteristic of the black raspberry.

Another book in my growing religion bookshelf. ninja I miss Oregon for it's hippy culture and nice farmer's markets. All they sell here is onions and tomatoes, two things I really don't use. I used to get tons of Gideons New Testaments at school. I asked once why they didn't hand out the OT, too, so I could get the set, and they never really told me.
