BlackChaos_kds Foetus In Fetu Is it true Christopher Ecclestone was in the last episode of Heroes and/or will be in other episodes? He wasn't in the last episode of Heroes but he has guest starred in a few. He's been pivotal, showing one of the main characters, Peter, how to utilize his ability. Ecclestone's character, Claude, was cold though. Life had screwed with him until he was forced to hide... That's why he's the Invisible Man. But everyone agrees he was awesome. His wit, his sarcasm... Flawless and funny—and painful. It hurt to see Peter get shut down. Presently, Claude is on the run, because the Company (people hunting down "special people") have caught onto his location. He was supposed to be dead, and yeah... You see -- if anybody at any point had told me that, I might have made more of an effort with the show rather than just allowing myself to be turned off by the pseudoscientific technobabble.

“Pseudoscientific technobabble”?
*Is hurt* crying
But it’s a really good show. I admit the first episode was a bit heavy, jumping right into the genetics and such but after that everything improved vastly. There is a storyline. There are multiple characters, meaning all get used in various plotline—plotlines that eventually tie into those of others and are resolved, I might add. There are chacareters you like. There are those you love. There are those you love to hate. And then there are those you just hate.
Where Smallville is Clark, already with his abilities and such, Heroes is about people who have discovered their abilities, of what paths they choose to take (or are forced into) and the consequences of their actions.
There are multiple villains, and that’s big for me: you can see how some of them justify their actions, while others do as they please. It’s cool.
*Typed a lot more but realized it wouldn't do justice* Why don't you buy the season when it comes out on DVD? You too, Zach61092. 4laugh

Because TV DVD boxsets cost like £50+ in the UK. neutral
And it's not even that it went into the genetics that I minded -- it's that the "genetics" were just a load of myths propogated about evolution that annoyed the crap out of me. But that I could overlook if it was central to the storyline; it was really the fact that within like ten minutes we got "Humans only use 10% of their brain," which is painfully untrue and completely extraneous dialogue that made me like "meh".
Maybe if I have time over the summer I'll watch it. It does sound cool; it's just that I don't watch a lot of TV and at the moment it's hard to rearrange my life around catching up.

It jut a show...I could care less about the Science about it. I like heroes, but there were some episodes that did bore me. For the most part it was good though. I'm going to try and fix my speakers first. The last two episodes are the only ones I haven't seen. Oh, call me Zach. The numbers make me sound like a robot.. neutral Anyways, Jericho is on tommorow. Yay, big war! It looks like a good episode.

zach61092 clueless-in-the-forest zach61092 Not really into that kind of drama. neutral i knew you were going to say that xD
in some thread y'all were talking about how smallville is turning into a soap opera? i dont remember which thread... i feel so guilty for enjoying soaps, whats wrong with that? gonk oh and i'm not implying that i want smallville to be a soap, that would just be plain stupid xp i kinda feel like the blonde of this guild who isnt really a blonde xd lol good or bad thing? idk but i think i do have a fair amount of intelligence, trying to learn from all ye wise ones wink lol i'm just joking around, not complaining whee haha Well, as long as you don't like Laguna Beach. That show is low for even someone that does like Soaps. I'm a more mystery kind of guy. I love Criminal Minds, Jericho, Bones, Veronica Mars, Lost, etc. I like to think when I watch t.v. lmao, nope i dont watch that xd and i watched heroes last night and it was pretty good, i just didnt get the plot because i havent been watching since the beginning...

Yay, big war! It looks like a good episode. See -- nobody gets why this bothers me, but it's not the fact that the science is bad (I mean, look at Smallville), it's the fact that it's bad and it doesn't have to be, and even worse that it's bad in places just for the sake of making a particular character look "smart" rather than for the sake of the plot. If they're going to be that sloppy in their characterisation, why should I bother investing time in the show? There's also the fact that instead of making up stuff that's clearly wrong and therefore relatively benign, they're just propagating myths that already form part of the public subconscious and actually shape the way people form their worldview.

I like quite a few serious shows to. Mostly the old series that have ended. Most of you have probably never even heard of them.
