She might only be a member of a group calling themselves Avengers despite lacking a charter but on the basis that they were established by an ex-Avenger...but then that also perfectly describes the New Avengers.
You know, I've only just noticed that, but it's really pleasing - the GLA are everybit as much the 'real Avengers' as the Bendis-Brigade. Almost a shame that our mini is set in the months between Disassembled and New so it can't address that...
