"I'm not fighting for any side! I'm fighting for the people I care about!" Leila yelled back at Violet in anger and frustration. Why couldn't she understand that? Did she really care for no one else but herself? Was it all a facade she showed to them earlier? Leila thought she had made a real connection with Violet, being one of the few demons she first met here on earth. Now it meant nothing to her, seemingly. But Leila had grasped onto it like a childhod friendship. Violet had shown her some amount of concern when Leila spilled the story of her death...
"I would be on your side if it were not for Dream, Haucon and the others...the thought of having to fight them stopped me from answering the call of...whatever it was..." Leila lingered a bit before saying what would possible be the last thing she would ever say to Violet.
"I...I thought we trusted each other..."

Haucon was still about a floor down from the roof, but by standing on the windowsill, he could at least hear what was going on. He wanted to see Leila, to hold her and tell her it would be alright, but he was in no position to do so, and she had more important things to attend to at the moment. He turned and made his way down the fire escape, deciding to wait it out on the ground.

Holly continued to watch the exchange above, suddenly cocking her head when she saw Haucon coming down the fire escape. "Someone else is coming down here, Dream."

Miu flew down to the others. "Hi" she said, happily, "Leila, Haucon is on the way down." she pointed towards Haucon.

Violet chuckled as Leila mentioned trust.
"You may have trusted me, but i never trusted you," she replied, her voice so cold it could have frozen lava.
"Trust gets people killed, it makes them feel like they owe something to others. Forgive me if i don't feel like wasting my energy on people who can't solve their own problems," As Violet noticed Miu and her friendly greeting she visibly shuddered. When hanging around with the others had been useful to her she had managed to survive prolonged contact with the goodness that seemed to surrond them. Now it seemed to be building, Violet could feel it as if it were a bad smell.

"Trust is also what gains friendship and love." Miu said, staring at Violet, "Not all trust get's you killed there is nothing wrong with trust" she commented.

Violet shook her head and began to direct her anger at Miu. The part of her brain that still thought logically was telling her to walk away and get on with their job, but she was far to frustrated to listen to herself.
"Friendship and love!" she cried, practically spitting the words.
"Nothing more then pathetic animals trying to get something from another without resorting violence!" breathing heavily she began to beat her leathery black wings, not to lift herself of the ground, just to vent her anger.
"Only the weak need such things," she muttered coldly.

"It's better to have friendship, love and trust. They are not only for the weak. If anything the weak are the ones who don't have friendship love an trust" Miu replied, as she started to beat her own wings. 'If she flys, I'll be ready'Miu thought

Dream had stayed back out of the conversation to see where it would lead and who was truly on who's side. He was now fairly certain that Violet was the main enemy here. And he had trusted her! He wasn't fit to be a Star Warrior, he had let the enemy befriend him. There was no more time to be decieved, he had to start to take action.
"You know, Violet, Miu has the right idea. Though you might not neccesarily need those things, they most certainly do help you. If, as you say, only the weak need them, then they must be a source of power. Friendship makes bonds and love perfects them. Trust puts them to work. Combined, they allow for something that you may never grasp: teamwork. I think I've made my point."

Violet jumped. She'd been so wrapped up in the heat of the argument she hadn't noticed that they'd gathered an audience.
"Stay out of this Dream. Why would a demon desire a friend or someone to trust? Me and my kind are perfectly capable of sorting out our own problems, we have no need for teamwork," she replied harshly.
((Woooo! sorry but i've never had a character turn out this evil, its rather fun lol ^.^))

((I'm having just as much fun, I'm rarely able to find anyone who's this evil and also intelligent enough to be a threat. Yay!))
Dream shrugged. "If you say so. But if you haven't noticed, all of us - excluding you, of course - have developed these qualities and are applying them to one another. Perhaps one of us alone may not be of any significance, but combined... I wouldn't mess with us if I were you."
In reality, he wasn't quite sure exactly how much they trusted each other. All he knew was he was at about the same power as Violet, and if he had friends fighting with him, it would almost be unfair to her if she decided to attack.

Violet said nothing for a moment, trying to calm down enough to think rationally. It was true she was outnumbered at the present moment, but it didn't mean she was alone.
"Don't fear, i'm no fool. I won't 'mess' with you just yet. Although, you must remember that i'm just one demon. If you do manage to kill me, and I doubt you will...how will you cope when the rest of Hells occupants arrive?"

He grinned at her. "Well, we'll just see then, shall we? And you know that I don't want to fight you either."
With that, he stepped forward. His eyes were filled with a strange, unearthy blue light. "Leave us. Don't make me prove myself to you."

Violet nodded her head, a shadow of her usual deep bow though still just as satirical. The light in his eyes wasn't enough to bother her too much, though it did caution her a little. The light reflecting back to him from her own green orbs she smirked.
"I'll leave for now, but don't think you've gotten rid of me," she muttered softly then smartly turned on heel, waving a mocking fairwell as she walked. Without turning round she spoke in Dreams head.
"Do you sleep much Dream? I love Dreams, people become so easy to manipulate" Although Violet couldn't force someone to do something, she could make very persuasive suggestions.

Dream, though unable to do as Violet did and make a connection to another's mind, could easily take an existing connection and use it. You want to enter my dreams, you'll find much more than you'd expect. I wouldn't reccomend it. I was named Dream for a reason, you know.
He sighed to the others. "Don't worry about her, she's just a demon. No offense to you, Leila, though you're not just a demon so it woudn't apply to you anyway."
