Sean, nudged one of the two with his boot.
"They weren't real Supers. These two were military trainers. They worked on the base camp." Sean mused, stepping towards the door, "For whatever reason, I have a very bad feeling."

"It's about time you did, Captain. That bad feeling has been calling you for the last hour." Minerva moved past the bodies. She took a position to the side of the door, her gun held. "Now who wants the pleasure of opening the next door? I'm sure with the blasts from the shotgun, and the Chief's gun combined, they already know we're here. I can do some pretty decent cover, but whoever opens the door is still likely to get shot."

The same black mist that destroyed the last door leaped out, hovering slightly away from the door. The Chief raised his gun, motioning to Minerva, and the mist dissolved the door. As the door was dissolving, he began to empty shots into the room.

Minerva kept her gun ready but waited before she could see into the room before shooting. She didn't want to take out some innocent civie by mistake. She'd done it before, and it only took that one time to burn the regret into her mind for the rest of her life.

Sean reached to his vest, pulling the pin on a gernade, and casually chucked it into the room.
"FIRE IN THE HOLE!" He shouted, before ducking around the corner, waiting for the impending blast.

Das Steube Sean reached to his vest, pulling the pin on a gernade, and casually chucked it into the room. "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" He shouted, before ducking around the corner, waiting for the impending blast. Minerva turned a glare at Sean. "ELDST!! Why the hell did you do that?! You'll blow up the controls you moron!"

Arch the Angel "Can't blow up the city without th..." The Chief was interrupted by the exploding grenade. "It also means we can't use them to threaten Soltari and his enforcers out of the city. You're both idiots." Minerva glared at them and moved towards the doorway, her gun still at the ready. She hoped that damaging the equipment wouldn't set anything off, but figured it would have been stupid if things were designed that way. She also hoped there was no countdown underway at the moment, she didn't know if destroying the equipment would stop the countdown, or if it would keep goinh and keep them from being able to stop the countdown entirely.

"Can't be sure of that." Minerva muttered, still utterly furious, however she put it out of her mind, dealing with the mess of the idiots was higher on the agenda than yelling at them.

There was a small chuckle from inside the room.
"Now tell me, did you HONESTLY expect that to work?"
Replied a voice from inside the room, which was followed soon after by laughter.

"He's still fit to laugh. Seems he can hold some more." The Chief replied as he trained his gun on the sound, letting out a short burst.

Sahira shrugged, "I was hoping it would work, but I could hear your heartbeat." She picked up the assault rifle and shot in the general direction of the laughter, and in her case, she could be pretty accurate based on her ears.
