She shuttered, a darkness settled over her heart and she felt as if she'd never be able to smile again...the thoughts struck her hard. She shook her head "no....no way...it's...it's not true...stop thinking such things..." she whispered to herself as she stood up straight and ran a hand through her hair. "I don't even know where he is..." She shook as she tried to settle her now racing heart.

She started to jog again, breathing to the rythm. Her mind running over the lyrics:

"I coninue to walk along the flat battle field
unable to warp and struggling, yeah!
at a far cape, the dream
waits patiently
even with a clumsy search
I can probably arrive there"

She tried to push it out of her mind...but it kept coming back...it kept haunting her...it kept resounding in her head. The stupid thoughts... Her lip trembled as she tried to push it out of her head. "Leave me alone.." she muttered to her subconsious thought. "Stop it!!! STOP IT YOU STUPID GIRL!!" she shouted at herself as she tripped, falling onto her stomach she grimaced.

Her eyes welled up with tears. She lay on the ground, feeling for injuries. Sitting up she noticed the people who gathered around her.. "..." she looked up at them and then she stood.

"You alright miss?"

She looked at the ground and pushed through the crowd. She began to jog again, begging the thoughts to leave her be. She ran until she could find a secluded area. She darted behind the bushes and fell to her knees....tears flowed as she muttered "What's going on...I don't even know where he is...I don't know if he's dead...why would he do that to me?" she asked softly.. "he promised not to hurt me...so...why...Why....WHO WAS THAT GIRL!?" she sobbed aloud as she put her head down on her arms.

*Ran looked back and saw Cain reach out to stop him, but he turned and closed the door behind him as he left. He didn't want to be there when Cain gave the full story to Nov. That and he still needed to find Ranpha. He wasn't sure why, but something inside of him was driving him to her. Walking down the stairs and out into the night, Ran felt the familiar cool breeze of the city. Yet, for some reason, it no longer held the comfort that he remembered*

(( eek Ry's so mean.. and evil!! And Ranpha's going crazy!! And I don't know where Kuroi is.. again sweatdrop So.. I'll start him in his fav. spot... the park!!))

Kuroi sighed as he sat by the little cafe he often found himself at. From what he'd seen... Ueten was ok but weak.. and back with Remi apparently, Ran was somehow back from hell (how that happened he'd never understand), Kari-chan was dead... he felt that when it happened, Cain and November were... together (another thing that puzzled him), oh yeah and he had a kid demon waiting for him back in his apartment! He hoped nothing else would go wrong.. he didn't think there poor group could take anymore bad stuff happening!!

Kuroi blinked in surprise "Ran-chan!!" and hugged him tightly... then let go and hit him semi-hard, being mindful of his injuries. "You... BAKA!!! Do you know how worried everyones been?? And then that whole mess with you and Kari-chan.... I don't know all the details but Ran-chan!! What were you thinking?? We can't die! I'm surprised Satan let you come back actually... though I'm glad he did. I didn't like the thought of you down there!" And he promptly hugged him again.

(okay, one, Ry is evil.... and mean. Two, i actually feel bad for Ran eek ::makes a mental note to nudge Nov into being nicer to him:: )

::"Hikari's dead" the words struck her hard. her insant reaction was to laugh nervously:: t....that's not funny, Cain ::she says shakily. Hikari couldn't be dead. no, it just wasn't possible. she hadn't been abandoned by another loved one, God hadn't taken another bit of her family from her... she just.... just refused to believe it... i...it wasn't possible...:: h...how? ::she asks softly as her practical nature forces her to see that Cain was truely upset about this, which meant... it had to be true... she hugged Cain closer, fighting back her own tears and dispair. Cain needed her right now.. she had to be strong... she could cry later, when she was alone::

Pssh, there's nothing that he could do to me that I probably don't deserve. *Ran stretched his arms out and tried to relax a little. All this worrying was starting to have a profound effect on him. He didn't like it, but he knew that it was gonna stick to him until he had a chance to talk to Ranpha* Anyway, I'm not sure who got me out, nor do I really care. All I know is that I'm here. *He looked to Kuroi out of the corner of his eye when he heard Kuroi mention that Ran had friends in hell. He laughed softly and closed his eyes* I don't have any friends in Hell. The only ones I have from Hell are my sister, Cain, and...you, I guess. *He kinda twitched his lip at adding Kuroi to the list. He still wasn't sure if Kuroi could be his real friend or not. An accomplice maybe, but a friend? For all Ran knew, Kuroi could be planning something with the Dark Lord against him. After all, Kuroi was once Satan's lover*

*Ran closed his eyes and dealt with it as Kuroi glomped him, but shook his head as he pushed him back* I don't care what Satan does. Whatever he's gonna do, he's gonna do. There's not much I can do to stop him. But hey, can you give me a hand? *Ran stood up and looked at Kuroi* I need to find Ranpha, but I'm having trouble tracking her down. For some reason my senses aren't working right.
