Good luck and have fun, RxH!!! Okay, I have some things to share with you guys. I just did the lifestream scene yesterday! <33 Ah, I loved it (again). xD
I wanted to point out some things that I noticed, though.
For starters, when you talk to one of the 'Clouds' he says : "Tender feelings.. A secret... no-one can know." That secret was of how he thought he had failed Tifa, and how he thought that she blamed him. (when she didn't) I thought it was important that 'tender feelings' was mentioned. Cloud had very tender feelings for Tifa, is what that meant to me. Interesting. biggrin
Next, before Cloud and Tifa enter the lifestream, if you talk to the nurse she says: "That girl has been by his side this whole time. She must really love him." I thought that was SOO sweet! That even the nurse could notice how strongly Tifa cared about Cloud and wanted to save him.
Third, did any of you notice that as Tifa and Cloud are leaving the lifestream, they are holding hands? :3
And fourth, when Tifa is speaking with the 'child' Cloud, she says that she's sorry that she never noticed Cloud, and that she didn't blame him, and that their memories by well etc... were real. The child Cloud says, "Tell that same thing to him(referring to the present Cloud), I bet he will be so happy." I was almost crying by then!!! D'X
And then I realized--- I had forgotten that Tifa's mother had died! I started to really think, Tifa had a really tough life. She lost her mother and then her father later on. That must of been so devastating for her! And, I never really liked Tifa's Dad though, for treating Cloud so cruelly. I guess I can SORT of understand, since it was his daughther who was hurt but... He didn't have to blame Cloud for what happened and say, "what if she dies?!" If Tifa really did die there, Cloud would of thought it was all his fault! And he was just a small child! I just thought that was terrible.
Oh yeah, and how when Cloud came back to Nimbleheim(sp w/e); I thought it was sooo sad that Cloud hid his face from Tifa because he thought he was a failure. *sniffle*
But yeah, just some things I took note of. ^^

But yeah, just some things I took note of. ^^ They were holding hands?! Seriously?! eek How sweeeet!!! crying I never really gave much thought to "tender feelings." For Cloud to use such soft, beautiful, and caring words meant that he really did care for Tifa....."tender".....soft feelings.....precious feelings....Awwww!!! gonk And about the "child" Cloud.....I didn't give much thought to when he said, "tell that to him, I bet he would be so happy." Now that you mention it....to have Cloud really happy is really something. *Sighs* And who knows Cloud better than his "child" self? You know, it'd suck if they weren't together! They've been through so much together! Pain, sadness, guilt.....they did everything for each other. crying Ah, my heart! You know, I've also noticed in the game how everyone knew that Tifa had strong feelings for Cloud (except Cloud of course. xd The little airhead...) and they all supported her, even the nurse as you stated. That also takes me back to the Highwind scene when Cloud and Tifa go back to the ship and Barret and Cid teased them. They didn't seem to support Aeris. (Well, the only person Aeris really associates with is Tifa and Cloud. xd )

Hehe, yes! I was like.. "OMG THEY ARE HOLDING HANDS! IF MY DIGITAL CAMERA WORKED---HOSNAP!" Lol.
Anyways, yeah I noticed that everyone could definitely tell who Tifa loved. ^^; Reeve realized it, Barret and Cid as you said... Even the random nurse! So, I guess that even though Tifa 'hides' more of her feelings, she can be pretty obvious too. x'3 Especially when Cloud is in danger. Hm, well the others didn't seem to go out and SAY that Aeris loved Cloud like they do with Tifa. After the lifestream and they go to visit the forgotten city, everyone was saying what they missed about Aeris. I remember a Cleris once saying that Tifa and Cloud didn't understand eachothers feelings--- but when Tifa asks Cloud what Aeris could of been thinking on the altar, Cloud said that Aeris knew she was going to die, and that she knew she was making a sacrifice. But Tifa points out that Aeris talked about the future more than anyone. She said that Aeris was always talking about 'the next time'. I think that this shows that Tifa knew something about Aeris, that Cloud didn't realize. ^^; No-one had ever said anything about what Aeris meant to Cloud, but rather what she meant to them. So, I think that yeah; the others do seem to talk about Cloud and Tifa as more of a pairing opposed to Aeris and Cloud.

Tifa secludes herself from everyone and yet her feelings leak through. xd Still, I think that's a beautiful trait of hers, no matter how negative it truly seems. I think the people around Aeris seem to see her as......I don't know....someone "untouchable?" If that makes any sense....I mean, she seems to be so distant from everyone (except Tifa and Cloud), even Cloud like you said, didn't really understand her. It's like she's some higher being, like an angel, who cannot be seen or touched, but can be felt deep inside your heart. (Something like in Advent Children) I don't know...I'm just trying to make some sort of connection. sweatdrop

Yes, Tifa is really amazing that way! X3
Well, I don't think that Aeris was only close to Cloud and Tifa. Because, when you go to visit the forgotten city a second time, and if you talk to the party on the highwind... REDXIII says: I always used to hate being treated like a child. But Aeris would pat me on the nose sometimes, and for some reason it didn't bother me.
Cid says: I wanted to take her for a ride in the Highwind...
Yuffie says: Materia is a lot about magic and fighting... The Ancients must of had a hard life, it must of really been terrible...
Barret says something like she's never coming back >_>; Meannn. I forgot what Reeve said. X_X; She also had a connection with Tseng, But yeah. I think Aeris impacted everyone if not a little bit, a lot. ^^ I thought Aeris was angelic, but she was by all means, not perfect. I think she always spoke her heart, but one of her faults was that she didn't always think before she said some things. She was flirty and she was also very naive--- those are her faults, but I still think she's an amazing character-- I mean, if a character was perfect, that wouldn't be much of a character. XD It'd be quite unrealistic, if you ask me and .... I don't think Aeris is unrealistic at all. But I think I know what you mean about her not being 'touched' but seen and felt inside of your heart. That's a good way of puting that! :O x3

Oh yes, that is true.
Hahaha, yeah, sometimes she can be insensitive to other people's feelings, like Barret for example. I thought it was really mean of her to act so bubbly when he was experiencing pain. (Plus, she flirted with Cloud right after that. xd ) Naive, but she is a good person. Without any faults, she would be like any Mary Sue. What I like about her is her spunky nature. I find it interesting and amusing, haha. She always wanted to live life to the fullest. A shame that it should end in such a tragedy.

Yes, one thing I didn't like was her excessive flirting... I mean, she really pushed the limit. O_O; She flirted with Cloud right after talking to Zacks parents, who said that he hasn't contacted them in ten years... you know, you would think she wouldn't be so *naive* and notice that something was up. . . x'D I still love her, though. I mean, she really apologized after she flirted in that scene, anyways. I think uses flirting to hide her weaknesses sometimes. My feelings really changed for her, I think; after I read maiden. She admitted a lot of things while she was in the lifestream. ^^ I never thought she really cared about Tifa until I replayed the game, and read maiden. I realized that the she really DID care about Tifa, but sometimes she was naive to other peoples feelings.
But yes, it is a shame. DX

But yes, it is a shame. DX Yeah, in "The Maiden" you really do see some of her feelings play out. Well, at first she didn't think about Tifa...she was more worried about Cloud. It was when Zack mentioned that Tifa was the only one to save Cloud, that was when she payed more attention to Tifa. Then you do see her actually wanting Tifa to be in Aeris' place for Cloud, which I find very touching. 3nodding It's very much like Aeris to act like that. She knows that Tifa loves Cloud and gave up her position for her friend. (Then again, it's not really possible for Aeris to pursue Cloud anyways. xd ) How beautiful.....despite their obvious rivalry, the two are really close friends. Both understand each other more than anyone else. But yeah, they really do care for each other deeply....it's like their sisters. It's quite amazing that they became friends in snap. They connected so easily. The person who wrote "The Maiden" did quite well actually, even if he was not the official script writer or whatnot. Aeris wasn't all "Mary Sue" in "The Maiden" which I'm glad for. I was expecting to read something pink and bubbly, haha. ((Odd....the more I talk about their friendship, the more I grow to love them both. xd Irony...and here I used to hate Aeris with a passion))

I just wanted to stop by. ^_^ Its nice to see people no longer hating Aerith or any other character for that matter! I was playing FFVII earlier and about that scene, well, Cloud was rising up, Tifa followed, and their blocky hands went side by side. I can't tell because of the graphics. They could be holding hands, but then again Cloud is totally out of it no? Either way, if they were holding hands or not, I thought that was a sweet scene nontheless and I wanted to say so : D.

((Odd....the more I talk about their friendship, the more I grow to love them both. xd Irony...and here I used to hate Aeris with a passion)) Hehe, yes true irony! I faced it myself as well, though. x'3 I think it's amazing AND strange how two people can be rivals in a sense, but friends at the same time. It's just so weird, but really just a "Wow..." sort of thing. I think Aeris became less naive when the lifestream scene happened. Because, that's when she seemed to realize a lot more things. After that, she saw who the real Cloud was and who could really help him. I think she became a more mature person after that scene. biggrin
@ Pink--- You know, I really couldn't tell for sure either, but as they were floating upwards, they just seemed to connect together by their hands... so it could of been side by side or hand holding. xD It seemed like they were too me, but since the graphics are cruel to us...(AND THEY TEASE US WITH FFVII PS3 DEMOS) We won't really know for sure! Though, they were both unconsious at that time for sure. So, it's not like they knew they were holding hands or anything if they were. But I still thought it was something sweet. x3
