*Shunketsu arrived at the Aburame forest, hoping not to trigger anything that may cause something to kill him, but soon spotted Kotai and Hinata...*
ummm..neh, Hinata...Kotai...sorry to interrupt you lovebirds...I'll leave soon, but...umm...this cake's supposed to be for, quote, the most important person in the village, so umm...who do i give this to?
*Shunketsu was really puzzled...*

::Hinata raised her eyebrow a bit as Shunketsu offered forth a cake. She shook her head, not really trusting something that was supposed to be given to "the most important person"::
Who in the world did you get it from?

two nin came, accompanied by two younger ones...they were not showing any signs of affiliation to any village, but the chakra auras i sensed around them...seemed to have an electrifying property about it...and one of them seemed to get edgy when i mentioned the Raikage...

::she shook her head as she looked down at it::
I don't trust something from shinobi that do not identify themselves. Especially if they get nervous about the mention of the raikage.
::she glanced at Komm::
What do you think?

Kotai muffled out a reply, his face still hidden in the folds of his cloths from Shunketsu's earlier statement. "Yes, I agree. They can't be up to any good... clone yourself, Shunketsu, and then open the box with the clone. I can't right now."

will do...
*Shunketsu cloned himself, gave his clone the cake, and made his clone stand some distance away...the clone gulped, sweat coming down his face...it opened the box, and inside...was...a...cake!! The clone then proceeded to take some of the cake with its finger...and with a final effort, stuffed the cake in its mouth...*
Shunketsu: hey, the clone's not dead...
*the clone then walked back up to Shunketsu, and handed the cake back to him...*
Clone: simple vanilla cake, with some icing...pretty good...
*the clone took another fingerful, ate it, and disappeared in a puff of flames...*

Kotai poked a spot of skin on his forearm and a little insect chewed its way out. The insect flew to the cake and set its jaws to it. "Clones aren't particularly real... if it's poisoned in any way, my little friends will let me know."

::hinata just looked at the cake, curious as to way a group of four would travel a good deal of distance to deliver a cake to someone that they weren't even sure of. It didn't bare a specific name, as far as delivery, which made her even more edgy about it::
Mom always warned about accepting pretty things from people you don't know...

Kotai shrugged. "The Elder would take a simple "we're sorry" as an apology right now. Torch the cake, Shunketsu." He withdrew the bug before it could be poisoned, if such was the case. He leaned back up against the tree with Hinata, eyes glazing over.

*sigh* well, i guess it's best not to get him angry...
well, you're the boss...
*Shunketsu moved out of the forest...in a clearing, he threw the cake into the air...*
Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu!!!
*The cake was enveloped in flames...*

::she sighed::
Its a shame though, since it looked rather tasty actually. Its a shame. But speaking of people, what did these people look like, Shun? I mean, its not every day that these people just wander in friendly like, mostly its in order to cause destruction.

*Shunketsu returned to them
i don't quite remember any specific details...but they said they came from some small village...they had no markings or clothing that affiliated them with anyone...but it was the attitudes...the cake was supposed to be for the poor and helpless, as something to boost hope...or something...but it was supposed to be delivered to an elder...and then the elder would know who to pass it out to...but too late now...cake is burnt...but anyway...you two probably want some time together...*cough*...i mean...to heal...yea, that's it...I'll head back to the fortifications...
*Shunketsu proceeded on his way out of the forest and back to the wall...*

Kotai snorted. "Cake, bolster people? There aren't even any people left in Leaf besides the construction crews and the defenders. It was some sort of contrivance to take out our Elder. I'll be damned if that happens, and I'll destroy whichever Village tries to pull that off." He punched his right fist into his left palm, causing liquid metal to drip from his knuckles and harden over his fingers.
He brushed away the armor and looked over to Hinata, calming down almost instantly as Shunketsu said his piece and left. "Well, no, we're still here and that's what's important."

::she gave a shrug, really not too sure about the true intentions of those who delivered the cake. Maybe it had been a good gesture, about the only one that they had actually recieved since the war had begun or ended. Maybe they should have taken it to the elder::
We should get back to the wall soon though. I would hate to leave them two men short...

Kotai nodded quietly. "Hai. After this cake fiasco, I don't feel particularly sure we won't find ourselves with an assassin on the loose. The Elder may have been a good ninja in his day, but he's not a Hokage." He flexed his right arm, knowing that his Kikkai were inside, repairing the nerve damage. "I think I have enough Chakra, now..."
He bit his thumb and spread a circle around the seal over his heart. "Kuchiyose no jutsu!" A large cloud appeared before Kotai and Hinata with a puff.
Are you injured, little one? "Yes, Neburi-sama. I think I went a little overboard this time..."
The cloud cleared away, and in its place stood a fifteen-foot tall brown and greed-dappled praying mantis with diamond sickle-blades. It radiated a peaceful, calming aura.
"Could you please help us? There is much work to be done and we are not fit to see to it, yet."
Neburi looked over to view Hinata with her large, insectoid eyes. Pretty girl, for a human. I will heal both of you and bolster your Chakra capacity and reserve. The voice sounded almost like a sniff.
The motherly Neburi motioned with her sickles and thunked them heavily into the ground, one beside Hinata, and one beside Kotai. A powerful healing Chakra began to charge within the large mantis, a warm sensation.
