Stunned by this story, Marik had to get his thoughts straight for a moment, even though Yami just straightened the situation out for him.
"That girl...? You think... I did this?" Confuzed though now sure of what was going on, he looked into Yami's eyes.
"How do I convince him it wasn't me..."
He fell on his knees, not breaking eye contact. "My Pharoa, I swear to you on everything I have, I have nothing to do with it. This may sound weird coming from me, but I'm innocent."
"What I would have done if he died? By Ra... I have... No clue...? I think I would have... Would have... I would have been so lost! I probably would have sent all earth's inhabitants to the Shadow Realm and then join Pegasus to find a cure for death... Or the other way around..."

"I don't hear you providing a decent alternative, Marik," Yami replied. "No, it doesn't really sound all that strange...You've been lying to me for quite a bit, now, so I suppose that I've come to expect this from you..."

"But it wasn't me. I swear. What can I do to prove my oprightness*?" His eyes grew wide, as he realized something.
"How can I convince him of my innocence? I don't even believe myself..."OOC *the translater said it was the right translation for 'oprechtheid'. sweatdrop

(...I don't know, maybe it's righteousness?) He looked back at the other blankly. He didn't care about the other proving he was innocent: he knew he was guilty. Instead, when he opened his mouth, his words were of a different sort. "Stay away from me. Stay away from us." He turned to leave. Now, he wasn't feeling anger as much as he was feeling a sort of apathy for the other. "And stop calling me that;" he added like an afterthought, "No servant of mine would have considered doing what you have done."

"But I haven't done anything!" Marik exhaled in frustration and confuzion. How was he going to explaqin he had nothing to do with it when there was no reason for him not to be? Yami had him framed perfectly. Nobody would believe he had nothing to do with this. People would actually be surprised. "I... GODDAMNIT! HOW ON EARTH can I prove it wasn't me!? Gh... Hnph.." He threw his head against the wall, going crazy with the thought of being falsely accused.

Yami exhaled. He had managed to get through that pretty smoothly, he had thought... he hadn't layed a single hand on the other--something that in the beginning he wasn't sure if he could do.
He decided to leave Marik in the hallway to his own devices: he didn't want to be concerned about the other. If he thought too much about it, he knew that he'd second guess himself, and he'd start to think about if he should have done something different--or if he shouldn't have done anything at all...or maybe both?
Ah, but it didn't matter, now. The confrontation was overwith... right now, he just wanted to sit next to Seto again. He had come so close to not being able to, that he wanted to spend every waking moment possible next to him...
He opened the door and shut it again softly. He glanced around the room, located his brunette immediately, and then smiled in his direction.

Marik threw himself against the wall again, thistime hitting one of the stonesthat caused the walls to move. He heard the sound of stone scraping over stone, with some fluid between it. The scent of blood became stronger. He sat up being extremely alert, and followed his nose. There, he found Duke's body. His brains had been squashed by the thick stone, so an expression couldn't be found. Now, if you know Marik, you also know he can't resist this. He crawled over to the corpse, and licked up some of the blood.
Seto was glad to see Yami was alright, but less glad with the albino freakshow leaning over his brother. He'd get him away, but.. He'd never have the guts to admit he was afraid of Yami no Bakura. He managed to create the idea of a smile on his face without actually smiling, as his mind started spinning again. "How are we going to get out of here?" He walked over to Yami, and asked him the question.

[[I'm sorry, I read your post wrong. x3;;;]]
Yami shook his head softly. Seto was right. They had to get out of here. This enviornment was sick, and if they were ever going to be able to return to normalcy. HE closed his eyes in thought. She had said that she knew the way out, didn't she? Was it her or Marik talking? Someone knew--they had to.
If the woman was taken over by Marik, they she might not remember what it was that she was saying or doing... actually, it sounds like she doesn't...Well, talking to Marik about this is out of the question for me...But wait... His eyes moved to Malik. It would be a long shot--but he knew that Marik and Malik shared a bond--like all Yami's and hikari's--maybe Malik would know. Wouldn't he have already left? he proposed to himself. Not... Not if he didn't see a reason to leave. We're all here... He hasn't really been affected by anything thats happened...
"Malik," he said moving towards him. "Can we steal you a moment?" ((Sounds like something Yami no Bakura would say... x3))

"Ano... Sssssuuuure, I guess..." Malik replied, raising a shoulder. His stomach roared, and he smiled in an apologizing fashion.

((Yes, you should, especially since you were the one who was complaining about them on the first page!! ooo smile )
"This might sound like a wierd or random question," Yami said, ignoring the stomach noises, "But I was currious--something Marik said to us earlier--would you happen to know how to leave this building...?" He hoped to ra that he did, because he doubted that the girl knew...but then again, for either one of them, it was a long shot.

((I just can't find the wo-ho-hoooords crying ))
"No, I have no clue." He stared at the ground for a second or two, before he continued. "Actually... I was hoping you knew... But never mind that." He smiled at Yami, before he asked. "Has my Marik been confessing to you?" "No... Please say no... He's mine, not his... Don't... Don't..." As he thought in panic, his face remained calm and peaceful.

"Confessing?" Yami echoed, "Confessing what...?" Did Malik know that this was going to happen as well? Was he just afraid to stop it?

"I'm erm... Not supposed to tell..." He bit his lip in panic. "If Yami didn't tell him anything, I'll be telling his secret... But if he did already tell him and Yamo no Yugi just doesn't know what I'm talking about... Man..." "Just erm... Did he ... Confess... Anything...? Lately? At all? Maybe?"

Yami's eyes narrowed slightly. "If it's a secret between you two, then why on earth would he tell me?" he asked. He didn't know if Malik knew about his Yami's feelings for him--and if Yami didn't tell him, he'd probably want Malik not to know. He didn't really want to be involved with whatever was going on between these two unless it involved leaving this building--and, he didn't think that it did.
His eyes moved over to the woman. She was their last chance! If she didn't know... Then he'd have to go back to Marik... and he really didn't want to have to care about Marik right now... Not to mention, he'd probably left them there alone because he was so upset over what Yami had said to him. His eyes widened when he realized this, and he grimaced, mad at himself. Something told me that I'd regret that...
Meanwhile: Yuugi was wandering around aimlessly it seemed. Hadn't he heard something over here just a little while ago? Man this place was huge! Someone could get lost in here forever!! That, and he was getting the distinct feeling that he'd been here before. "Great. Now I'm going in circles!" He threw his hands on his hips and looked incriminatingly around. How agitating. Here he was, trying to help his Yami, and he could hardly help himself! "This is complete and utter bullshit. I don't know why I even bother anymore. Maybe I'm just wrong about this whole thing. Maybe he really does love him... And even though it's sooo wrong..." He trailed off when he saw something on the floor a bit infront of him. It looked like a very fat and distorted person. As he eased closer, he realized that it was two people--one of whom was missing a head. The other was Marik. "You! What--what's this?! What did you do?! Did you--did you kill him?!"
((Noo! must fight to bring RPs to the top of the guild forum thingy! Must... fight...must...post...must... ninja ))
