"I know Mokuba... I know." Yami spoke softly, looking at the younger Kaiba. He didn't want either Kaiba brother to die, not if it was something he could help prevent. "I don't want him to die either. I don't want anyone to... but if this happens, someone will. But I'll make sure he lives."

"Well now he's going to have that clutching dependency again to keep me in his line of sight. You know, now that you told him there's a danger to the world," Mokuba pointed out ruefully.

(My entire family has been struck down by a bad and highly contagous stomach flu. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to dodge the bullet.) Malik was silent the entire time Mokuba and Yami were speaking. The Egyptian had nothing to say, and it was as simple as that. About the only thing he could say was 'Wow, I screwed that up', and that didn't seem worth the wasted breath.

"Well look on the bright side, at least you got him in fluent Japanese. He's been saying stuff that's not Japanese when he's mad. But that would have made him only worse." Mokuba pointed out trying to cheer up the atmosphere.

"True. So at least that is one bright point I suppose." Yami spoke softly, but he couldn't help but feel that he lost Seto. Why? He didn't know. They weren't even really close like that anyway. "Maybe one day we'll catch him on a better day... we just don't have that many chances left."

Malik was silent for a few seconds, but suddenly something hit him. "What do you mean, 'not in fluent Japanese'?" The Egyptian hoped it wasn't another dead end again, but it was a small lead.

"He talks weird, just it starts sounding like when you guys are calling Ra, but then he jumbles it with English and Japanese." Mokuba shrugged. "Then gets mad that he has to focus on what he's saying at all."

"So he knows the ancient language..." Yami smiled, finally a lead. And it was better than not knowing anything at all. It hit him, Seto probably was able to read the text on Ra and speak the language because of his past. But of course the CEO wouldn't admit to it ever. "But he covers it up with languages he does know..."

"I don't know, he never tells me anything." Mokuba replied with a shrug as he finally reached the elevator. "What will you do now?"

"Malik and I will think of something. We just have our second wind, and now we have something that could help us potentially." Yami replied, offering a light smile toward Mokuba. "We both know the ancient language, so perhaps we can try to see if your brother can recite the chant for Ra. Of course no god card will show up, but if he can read the inscription outloud..."

"Of course he can recite it. Back during the semi finals of the Battle City Tournments he read them. The duel disks scan and read the inscription on each card, when it was first played the computer system downloaded the information. But the computers couldn't translate the whole inscription, my brother read it directly from the screen without the translation and knew the whole incantation on his own. I'm sure he can say it." Mokuba explained tilting his head to the side wondering what Yami was plotting.

"That could be our key to getting him to come with us. I know he doesn't want your health or well being jeopardized in any way, perhaps you could come as well so he can keep an eye on you. Make it a two for one deal of sorts. If he can read and recite the incantation in the Heiratic script without translation, then he does have a very good purpose with myself and Malik." Yami smiled, looking down at the younger Kaiba.

"Uh, Yami, I don't think my brother is into Three ways. I mean... Yeah..." Mokuba had to have devil horns under all that hair! Why else would he have such long hair in the first place! But bratty baby brothers often noticed things, didn't they?
(OOC: Ok someone get a bucket of water Larisha is on fire... bucket of water or marshmellows. One or the other.)

(I vote marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers. We can make Smores)
"I didn't mean it like that Mokuba!" Yami protested, a faint blush creeping across his cheeks. Sure, he liked Seto like that... but that didn't mean that he liked the idea of the three of them together like... now the image was stuck in his head. "I meant he could help us with the problem we're facing."
