Hi, I’m Jackie, I’m graduate of C.D. Hylton Senior High School I do many after-school activities to include, Marching Band, and Student Council, I’m a hard worker and I like to have fun. Also, I am not your average high school student. I like to read and I love a challenge, and I really don’t like to sit and do nothing all day long. Mainly I’m not afraid to adventure and try new things all the time. I have been in the Hylton high school marching band for the past four years and I loved every minute of it. Throughout my years at Hylton I have contributed greatly to the band. Currently, I am the section leader of the Alto Saxophones for the 2005-2006 school year. I am a good leader and I like to help others with any problems they are having. I am also a very outspoken, I like to speak my mind.

Tenor is by far, the easiest for me. : ) Soprano confuses me. I'm always having to retune, supposedly because I'm not confident enough in my soprano, uh... powers.
I can generally solo just fine on soprano. I guess I stop worrying so much and my tone centers more readily.

I like Alto the best-- too bad I'm a tenor player, eh gonk ? I still have a terrible time on these damn 3.5's. My tone is all fuzzy and it just sucks. It's hard to get air through sometimes. Is it possible Im not wetting it enough?

Idk. Have you made any adjustments to your embouchure? I had to change reed sizes every other box at one point, when I was fixing stuff.

I play the tenor and the alto sax. I actually played the flute before (Still do) so the transition was fairly simple. Just getting used to the gashes in my lips after playing for a few hours with braces. Fun stuff right there.

Lol theres a difference between making noises on the sax and playing it.
Expecially when you get to the Bari Sax.
I play all saxaphones from Soprano to Bari.. I know theres more but Im to short to play em.
Alot of it is change in Embouchure. I play alto clarinet and Bass
And Tuba.. so. Lol
WHere ever my band Instructor needs me. Im there.

I've been playing the alto for six years now, I prefer the Tenor. I can play the bari, but my sound is really fuzzy and i can barely reach the bottom keys.

Coolies i started on Bari too which was strange cuz the instrument case was big enough to fit me in O_O Now it's not so big and i'm not bad at teh Bari which i'll play for any gig if needed.
(hah we should never be at the botom of the stickies!)
