Keegan picked up a pamphlet and flipped through it, finding a a way to pass the time as they made their way to Saffron City. Before long, he could tell Kasiya had fallen asleep in the seat in front of him, and he sighed, forcing himself to stay awake so that they could get off at the right stop. Although, he reasoned, falling asleep on the train and arriving in Vermilion completely by accident was a more fortunate turn of events than he'd realized.
He watched the scenery roll by, and soon they pulled into Saffron Station. Keegan stood up and stretched, and gently shook his companion's shoulder. "We're here," he said. "Time to go."

Kasiya opened her eyes, and sat up. "We are? Already?" she gave a small yawn, picking up her sleeping Raichu and cuddling her in her arms. "Alright, let's go then, shall we?"
The two left the train, now in Saffron City. "We have to head west," Kasiya said, pointing in the direction of Celadon City. "Wait, you have a bike too, don't you?" she asked, pulling hers out and unfolding it. "This will make our trip much quicker," she added as Shocker jumped up onto her shoulder, now fully awake.

He choked for a moment, then pounded his chest to swallow. "Wha!?" Kilik took a few deep breathes, "Rollout?" the boy slid down a little bit, "That rules you out against Miltank, Flareon...And Scyther too!" He groaned loudly and grabbed the sides of his head, "How can I beat her with two Pokemon weak to Rock-Type attacks?!" he growled. A few trainers in the Center looked at him oddly. Then he blinked.
"You're going to battle her too? I thought you already had your Plain Badge."

"Right," Keegan smiled, also unfolding his bike. He was thankful it was fairly easy to do, but hoped he'd be able to ride well enough. It's not like his arm was broken though.
"Yeah, this beats walking, that's for sure," he added with a nod, mounting his bike. "Lead the way," he said, awaiting directions.

"Okay," Kasiya said, pushing off and leading the way through the city. Kasiya looked up at the sky as she rode along, noticing that it seemed like dark clouds were moving in. "A storm's coming in," she said to herself, looking back at the road. "We'd better hurry," she called back to Keegan.
Sparks flared from Shocker's cheeks, as she too could sense the storm coming in. "Rai. Raichu," the Raichu grinned, looking up at the darkening sky.

"Oh, I do," Nina said, "but this wouldn't be for a badge obviously. For me, it'd be a battle for pride... if that makes sense." Nina finished eating, a slight red tone coming over her cheeks, feeling a little embarrassed. "When I got my badge," she continued, "the two of us had to act in a professional to one another, meaning that she couldn't say to me what she wanted to, and vice versa. Since I'm not battling for a badge, this would be a less formal situation." Nina had hoped she didn't confuse Kilik too much. "As far as your situation is concerned," she continued, "you may wish to get a Pokemon with Fighting attacks; that would certainly give you an advantage."

He sighed. "I don't have any Fighting moves..." A lightbulb went on in his head. "Wait...Koffing's Smog attack! If Miltank can't see me, it'll miss, so Rollout will get weaker!" He kissed the Pokeball that contained his Koffing, "I love you!" Kilik stood up from the booth.
"I can't wait any longer. Let's go now!" Flareon barked happily.

"But... what if Koffing gets knocked out?" Nina asked, recalling her Pokemon, with the exceptions of Anna and Mihoshi. "If that happens, then you could be in a lot of trouble..." Her voice trailed off for a moment. "I wish that I had a Pokemon that was really resistant to Rock-type attacks, because I'd let you borrow it." She kind of frowned a little. "I might have a little trouble with the demon queen too, then," Nina added.

((Wow there are going to be a lot gym battles at the same time going on!))
Falkner looked at the cat pokemon somewhat suprised and got up from his chair. "Umm... The arena is on the roof. If you follow me we can get started." He said walking over to the nearby stairs glancing back ocationally.
Dante glared at the cat pokemon who sat smuggly on his sholder. "Can you for once keep your big mouth shut?"
"Nope! Thats part of my charm." He said smuggly.
Dante sighed and shook his head in exasperation as they finished climbing to the top of the stairs he glanced around at the large arena on the roof of the gym. "Wow this is a nice arena." He said off handedly as he got to his side of the ring.
Falkner who was on his side now held out a pokeball. "This will be a two limit pokemon battle. First one with both pokemon unable to battle the match will be decided."
"Sounds fine to me." Dante called back to Falkner.
"All right! Match begin." He called out and threw his pokeball out to reviel a Pidgey.
For a moment Dante was reminded of Mitsu's Pidgey, he didn't know it had evovled yet. He studded the bird pokemon infrount of him for a moment thinking befor reaching for Apollo's pokeball. Apollo appeared in the arena and let out a loud neigh befor stomping both of his hooves into the arena making it crack slightly. Apollo's high jumping ability would make up for his inability to fly.

"Oh no, not rain," Keegan groaned. He wasn't a fan of it, that's for sure, and he felt himself pushing harder to get to Celadon City before the skies opened up and downpoured on them. He hadn't traveled this far in Kanto before, and he secretly hoped they'd be arriving shortly.

"I'm sure Flareon can take on her other Pokemon," he replied, leaving the Center with her, "Once she sends out that Miltank, I'll switch to Koffing and have it blast it with Smog...or cover the field in a Smokescreen." Kilik looked at the Park Ball, "And if all else fails, Scyther can still use Quick Attack." He smiled. "Now I just have to focus..." he whispered to himself.

Nina smiled. "Alright. I'll leave you alone for a minute-- I need to go back to the department store to check on Sabrina. Hopefully, she's still there, and didn't get mad at me and leave." She chuckled a little bit, and ruffled both Kilik's and Flareon's hair. She walked outside of the Pokemon Center, but before she walked toward the store, something caught Nina's attention. She turned her head, and looking toward the city's gate, she noticed something small walking around. Quietly, Nina approached the figure.
Wild Oddish Appeared!  Female Level 26 Attacks: Absorb, Sweet Scent, Poisonpowder, Stun Spore, Sleep Powder, Acid
A gasp escaped Nina's mouth. "An Oddish!" she whispered, as the Pokemon stared innocently at her. Reaching for a Pokeball at her belt, Nina continued to get closer to the Oddish. The Oddish backed up a little, almost as if it knew what was going to happen. "Go, Kuma!" Nina said, letting fly the Pokeball in her hand. The Sneasel stared at the Oddish, who returned the stare. It began to rub the leaves on top of its head together, which created a bluish powder. "Kuma, the Oddish is trying to use Sleep Powder! Don't let it; use a Taunt!" Kuma grinned, and it seemed to be speaking to the Oddish, angering it. The Oddish stopped creating its Sleep Powder, and sent forth a blast of a light brownish Acid.
"Kuma!" Nina said, "Dodge that and counter with a Quick Attack!" The Sneasel darted out of the way almost instantly as the Acid hit where its feet were, only a moment before. Kuma slammed into the Oddish, knocking it back a bit, but the Oddish quickly hopped up onto its feet. It quickly shot forward another Acid blast, this time striking Kuma. The Sneasel shook off the attack, although Nina could tell it hurt a bit. "Screech, now!" she commanded, and her Pokemon complied, letting out a ridiculously shrill screech, obviously putting the Oddish into some pain, as well as Nina. "Gyah," she said. "Use a good Strength attack!" Kuma rushed forward, its arm drawn back, and then slugged the Oddish, hard, when it was within striking distance. The Oddish flew back, but got up yet again. It ran forward and jumped head-first into Kuma's stomach, knocking Nina's Pokemon down, as well as winding it pretty well. "Kuma," Nina said, drawing its Pokeball, "we don't want you to get hurt anymore. Return!" A crimson beam of light zapped up the Sneasel, and Nina sent Mihoshi out. "It's really weakened from before," Nina said. "Use a Fly attack!" Mihoshi chirped and flew into the air before diving down onto the Oddish, knocking it down.
"And now," Nina said, "it's time." Reaching in her pocket, she grabbed an empty Pokeball, letting it fly at the downed Oddish...

((Congrats on the oddish!))
Falkner eyed the fire pony wearily befor comanding. "Pidgey! Use a Wing Attack on it! And stay away from the flames!"
"Apollo! When it comes close to you use your Stomp attack to take it down!" Dante comanded as the Pidgey flew over and readied its wings to attack. Meowth, Dante and Falkner watched as Apollo reared up just as the wings swung at the place its chest would have been normall and just hit the legs. Apollo didn't flinch at the attach and instead slammed his diamon hard hooves down on the bird pokemon. While the attack missed the main part of the bird it pulled out the dorsal feathers on one of its wings making it unable to fly that easily anymore if at all.
"Wow that was convient." Meowth comented off handedly.
"Yeah it was. But I dont think this fight is over yet." Danet replied still somewhat weary. This was a gym battle after all.
And he was right Falkner did not call back the bird pokemon even if it couldn't fly anymore. "Its all right Pidgey. Use your sand attack and follow up with a quick attack!"
"Apollo! Dont worry about the sand! Use your Quick Attack and lets see who is faster here!" Dante comanded and then the sand flew into the air and both pokemon disappeared into the sand using there respecitve Quick Attacks.

(Technically, I don't have it just yet! whee )
The Pokeball sucked the Oddish inside of it, and sat on the ground motionless for a second. It then started to shake.
One...
Two...
Three...
The ball finally stopped shaking. A *DIIIING* noise came from the Pokeball, and Nina grinned, running to collect her new Pokemon. "All right!" she exclaimed, "I got an Oddish!" A great smile spread on Nina's face, as she picked up Mihoshi and gave her Pokemon a hug. "Thank you for helping me, Mihoshi!" The Togetic chirped energetically as Nina started walking back toward the Pokemon Center. "And thank you Kuma," she said, to the Pokeball that contained her Sneasel.
A few moments later, Nina reached the Pokemon Center, and stepped inside.
(Okay, now I've caught it. 3nodding )

((Yeah well... Was there any chance that you weren't going to catch it?)) Inside the cloud of sand both pokemon hit eachother dead on in the quick attack. However though Apollo was hurt by the attack his weight negated most of the effectiveness of the attack. Pidgey however went flying and landed down out of the cloud and didn't get up. It had fainted.
Flakner growled slightly befor returning Pidgey and throwing out another pokeball. This time it contained a Pidgotto. The new pokemon let out a loud scream and flew into the air ready for battle. "All right Pidgotto! Use your Wing Attack on that Ponyta!"
